As a meat eater the thought of vegetarian food sometimes makes me feel somewhat uneasy. But my god, this place delivers on the food. You're looking at honey halloumi and the burrito. You won't be disappointed.

I’ve been to The Prince George a few times since they reopened in May and I am so impressed with the food. You can really tell a lot of care and attention is put into the presentation and it tastes amazing. Plus the portion sizes are huge, perfect!!!

Friendly staff, nice pub, all veggie and vegan food, which is very decent, especially the portions are very generous. 🙅‍♂️ for meat lovers and or pescatarians. They have a pretty good selection of ales and craft beers and a decent Malbec for those who enjoy full bodied wines.

Great veggie pub like no other. The type of place than can only be found in Brighton. They have a lovely indoors beer garden, good selection of beers and a veggie menu. Puf food, yeah, but the baked burrito hit the spot. We visited mid week and it was fairly quiet. Staff wore marks and there were various hand sanitizer dispensers so it felt quite safe.

Lovely pub with quite a bit of indoor seating. There is also a lil beer garden out the back. There is a good choice of beer and pretty good vegetarian and vegan food. No meat. Staff are very nice too. I've been a few times now and will deffo be back!

The prince George has always had outstanding customer service and food. I mean the portion sizes and variety on the menu has always been quite reliable. On this occasion I had the beetroot and chickpea curry and my girlfriend went for the omelette. It was above average we probably won't be back for the food.

Sadly the food here is a real disappointment. As an early adopter of vegetarian and vegan food it's a shame that the menu seems to have degraded over the last 20 years. The vegan options are pretty much limited to just falafel dishes. Most other dishes have a vegan option but that just means you pay the same amount but for less food. Even if they do compensate by giving you extra of something else it's still not going to be as good as a properly thought out outright vegan dish. Plus sides are it's quite large so lots of seating. An outside area. Plugs dotted about for if you want to charge your phone and all seems clean and well maintained. Access for wheelchairs shouldn't be a problem, not sure about the toilets though. Food hygiene rating 5/5.

Had a lovely first-time-back-at-a-pub-since-March. There are clear amd straightforward measures in place to accommodate social distancing, which was reassuring. The menu was excellent, as a vegetarian it's always so nice to have a choice of food in a pub that doesn't entail mushroom stroganoff! We didn't have room for dessert as the portions were generous, but there were some very tempting options on there. Prices are reasonable for what you get, and service was polite, efficient and friendly. Would strongly recommend.

Great open and friendly atmosphere with very full range of ales, wines and spirits. However, the big bonus is the vegetarian cooking. Pub prices for gastro pub quality. The wild mushroom pie with kale and mash was heavenly. We went as a group of four,two vegans and two veggies and all chose something different. Great quality and four empty plates!

Cosy friendly veggie pub. 3 choices of veggie roast on Sundays. Great quality food. Great homemade nut roast. Price around £13 which seems good value to me for the quality of food. Had a glass of dry white which quite drinkable. Staff were attentive and helpful. I last had lunch in the George in 2005 and it was lovely to see it is still a great place to eat, drink and chat 15 years later.

I have eaten here on one occasion and had a few drinks on others. The food served here is excellent and as someone who would not normally eat a vegetarian menu, i would certainly give this 'double thumbs up' and certainly changed my opinion. The beer selection is also very good with plenty of craft beers and fine ales on the taps along with a good bottle,Gin and Liquor selection. If memory serves me correctly, they also had a selection of cocktails which were of an excellent standard also. I would definitely suggest this location for both food and drink and i look forward to visiting again soon!

Really like this pub. Close to the station, fairly central. Nice atmosphere and the staff are great. Was a little disappointed today as there wasnt a lot available, they had run out of two of the three main dishes (but it was about 4 o'clock). My son, who is vegan ended up just having chips and there was no dessert available for him either. On the other hand, my daughter has food allergies and they were great about accomodating those. Food itself was lovely.

Nice pub - great atmosphere. Veggie mushroom burger was nice but the fries were bizarre - rock hard and bone dry - almost as if they were old ones that had been left out or re-heated. Really let the food down which was a shame.

This place should be a Mecca for vegetarians everywhere. Their entire menu is veggie but that shouldn't put off even the most died in the wool carnivore (like yours truly). The grub is so decent, I've tried almost everything on the menu and never had a bad meal. Couple that with a great selection of beer and gin and really friendly atmosphere and you're onto a winner.

Just had the chili dog, after being warned about the size of it - I did not heed those warnings as much as I should have but it was delicious! So filling, you get a lot for your money, and it's nice to find a veggie place that does nice, filling, warming pub food. Lovely range of gin and tonics as well, this was my first but definitely won't be my last visit.

Typical Brighton pub, lack of seats and the drinks are moderately cheap. No student deals worthy of being mentioned as a single is £4 and a pint is roughly the same for twice the volume. The lighting is very dim at night and but adds atmosphere. The music is decent but also at a level that you can hear your friends speak. Overall nice but as for a location quite far from town.

Was so glad to see this pub was still going, hadn't been since I was at college 8 years ago. Took my girlfriend here last August for old times sake and we really enjoyed it, so much so she decided we should take her family there when they visited Brighton for the first time. The pub is traditional, with a Brighton twist. Always see happy staff here who like to have a bit of a laugh. The food, well it offers a simple but broad menu, great for meat eaters and vegans! The portion sizes sure won't disappoint anyone either. Personally I recommend to anyone that they should have the falafel burger!! Location is a bit out the centre but it always has a nice atmosphere here and always feels like an active pub with a nice crowd. We won't be back to Brighton for a while but Im sure we'll be back here on our return.

Nice venue, low lighting and music at a volume you can still have a conversation over. I visited on a Monday lunchtime and was very quiet, but I'm told it's busy on a Friday. Food was pretty good, but considering it was advertised as Mexican I personally found it a bit bland and without any real kick. Would go back there.

I took my girlfriend to Bills in Horsham yesterday, had a lamb burger and sweet potato stew it wasn’t all that tasty and came to £33 with a drink. I have day off work today so we came to The George in Brighton as it offers good vegan options, ordered nachos and a spicy sweet potato bean burger and drink, all came to £26 and it tasted amazing. Nothing to complain about, hot plates, plenty of food and very tasty, great vegan options!

This is a great place to go for pretty much any occasion. I often take the family here for a delicious vegetarian meal. Since the refit they not only tidied up the inside but they have made a lot of progress with the outside. In the evening this pub does get very busy so it might be worth getting there early. This pub justifies it's reputation as one of the best pubs in Brighton.
