M. M.Lovely backstreet local pub serving excellent fresh food made from local produce. The decor is rustic but well maintained. The staff are knowledgable and helpful and quick with the service. The selection of drinks on and behind the bar is good. If you want to eat, I would book ahead as it is not the largest of places and I can imagine on an evening especially it will get busy quickly. I would wholly recommend this place for food and drink. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. Infinitely better than the chain eateries. Accepts cards and cash.
A. H.Best roast I've ever had! Had the pulled pork shoulder, so tasty!! Also a really nice looking place, good service and calm interior. Recommend booking a table on Sundays
D. S.This is a lovely little pub a stone's throw from the train station. I just stayed for a few drinks but there is a good back bar and the staff are really friendly.
The range of dishes on the menu has something from everyone and from the plates I could see coming from the kitchen I'll definitely be back soon to try the food.
A. A.Visited for an impromptu pub lunch with the team and we were all not disappointed. We all opted to not actually drink so I can't speak to how the drinks are but the food was fantastic. They had a varied and fun menu that had the pub favourties and some unique eats. Plenty of options for veggie too. I had a sweet potato burger that came topped with beetroot and halloumi..YUMM!. The side salad was also so refreshing, cabbage, cucumber, radish, carrots, and so much more. The chips were also fresh and crispy. Only thing I would suggest would be a sauce with the burger as it's served on a ciabatta which is bit of drier bread. I would definitely recommend and would be back for lunch without a doubt.

A. C.A great little place to go grab a drink. Friendly environment, good staff and very clean. Located literally 1 minute walk from the train station which is always handy.
It’s a nice and quiet place too (just be prepared to walk up a somewhat steep hill)

Lady behind the counter is more busy with her physical appearance and going for a smoke than being friendly and warm welcoming. Pub was recommended by our landlord but work a bit on welcoming non regular customers as well.

J. A.Outstanding service from ease of booking to a warm welcome on the day. The menu was varied with some unusual dishes and popular choices too. I was tempted by the vegetarian options but decided on pigeon as I like something different. All the food we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented and everything about our experience was positive. We met with family who had travelled a long way so needed a venue near the station; it could not have been a better choice had we travelled miles. The staff picked up it was a birthday celebration and we had a little candle on the desert.

Both were amazing and the portions are big, so go there hungry. Would deffo recommend this place, it was packed!
L. Y.I booked a table for 8 people for a work evening meal. Although it was a Monday, it still had plenty of atmosphere. The food was brilliant and the service was both friendly and attentive (thank you Mel!!) they had no problem looking after our party of 8. I would recommend it and will go back!!

M. M.I'm not a foodie type of dude, I find eating wastes a lot of time, but the food in this pub is beyond good. It's not Michelin Star, but it's exactly right every time, be that fish, ravioli, steak or vegetarian.
The bar staff are really nice as well, the owner a proper pub person.

P.We had a lovely Sunday roast the lamb was medium and juice with veg piled high it was delicious. The staff are really attentive and friendly all in all a great experience.
