The Victory Inn is a pleasant, traditional pub in the centre of Brighton, a short walk from the Palace Pier. The tiled front is something to behold, while the décor inside more resembles a neighbourhood boozer. There's a fair range of hand-pumped ales on offer (there were 4 real ales when I visited, but two were off), and the barman was friendly. Limited outside seating on the street. Solid place for a quick pint.

Historical pub in a great location - in the middle of shopping streets and just off Brighton seafront. Recently undergone a makeover inside which really complements the pub’s character. Limited space downstairs but two additional rooms upstairs. Good choice of beers, wines and spirits and a decent food menu. Had the burritos - which were really tasty, filling and good value for money. Lovely pub!

A Great Brighton landmark built around the time of the battle of Trafalgar. An original pub that hasn't been buggered around with. There's usually an imaginative range of ales on tap. Knowledgable staff too.

Very friendly and great atmosphere, fantastic Sunday roast but table booking recommended especially if a ground floor table needed. Ingenious location for disabled access toilet 😁 This is a real old fashioned pub in centre of Brighton; sport and drinks in front bar, separate restaurant area and outside space/courtyard at back, also upstairs tables and toilets. Access a bit cosy, definitely a good idea to let them know in advance if you are coming with wheels so they can prepare. My new favourite pub in Brighton 😁

6 of us had lunch there, up stairs. We were greeted with a friendly welcome. After ordering our meals, we only had to wait 15 minutes for our meals, which were varied lunches. The food was hot and very good. and one thing I noticed, the toilets were spotless! All in all, a good experience. We will definitely be visiting again. Harry Atkins Bn24jl

It's an old fashioned type of pub which is all well & good but it could do with a bit of a clean. We had a meal which was surprisingly ok & we ate it upstairs but the room was boiling hot & the windows do not open so it was unpleasantly warm.

We visited this pub initially for a drink but were tempted by the menu. We shared the most amazing halloumi fries and then had vegetarian sausage and mash. It was delicious and very nicely presented. We shared mango brulee for dessert and highly recommend this pub for food and drinks - excellent value.

Lovely place to spend some time with friends, grabbing a beer in a typical english PUB. I would suggest to have a taste of the different beers offered since they're all really good! We had the chance to stop for a while during a sunday evening, finding that not so crowded and with a nice music for the aperitif time. Only downside maybe 'cause of the time or of the day maybe the barman can be warmer in welcoming and serving people. Anyway, bad days come for everyone and the place and beers are so nice you would not even notice that.

Booked a table for 2 here for my first pub roast after lockdown and it was amazing! The staff are amazing and friendly and the service second to none. Thats even before the food arrived, I had a beef roast & my son had a Chicken roast, it was late in the day as we where both at work that Sunday, but the food was still fresh and delicious. We where excited to try the Brighton famous crispy parsnip and we was not disappointed. It was great to be back in a pub supporting local businesses Dog friendly.

Among lots of pubs in the South Laines there weren't alot of choices open late after dinner so we settled on The Victory. The pub itself is covered in beautiful green tiles and is actually a stunning example of a authentic British pub. Its could be a nice stop off on the way from the station down to the beach or as a part of a nice mosy (...pub crawl) through the Laines. Their on-street seating is a lovely alternative in nice weather aswell!

First impressions: nice traditional pub atmosphere, bartenders extremely friendly and welcoming. Good varied menu with very reasonable prices. Good range of ciders which is always a plus with me. Seating area up the back is a little small, but didn't bother us - you could call it cozy. Food brought to us surprisingly and impressively quickly. Really generous portion sizes - is there such a thing as too many chips? Well, they were delicious, anyway. I had the fried halloumi, which was delicious, although the ratio of halloumi to beer batter was a bit low; couldn't really taste it. Very nice batter though so couldn't be too upset. Girlfriend's review of chili and sweet potato chips: "really good, would eat again". Overall a very pleasant find.

I didn't really enjoy it very much here to be honest, probably we didn't visit at best time because there was an England football match on which meant that everyone had had a few. That's said it's quite a nice traditional English pub and very handy because it's in Central Brighton. A little bit pricey.

Quaint pub with great food and background music. Ordered vegan options: a chilli veg concoction with brown rice and my partner ordered a veg burger that came with chunky chips. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The chilli certainly lived up to its name and we both struggled to get through it without a sip, the vegetable skewer was beautifully cooked, not dry at all, especially the mushrooms. Definitely recommend.

I have always enjoyed my time at The Victory. Great staff, great food and great music played. Personally I have never encountered any problems getting in with my friends. I have only ever seen them turn away lairy groups of lads, hens and stag parties...and that's why I drink there. Cracking atmosphere in an area of Brighton where there are plenty of bars for groups of laaads to go....
