Really enjoyed visiting this pub while we were staying in Brighton. It's clean and very nicely done out both inside and outside. Staff are very friendly and have a good range of beers etc. The outdoor area is fab, with plenty of seating and heaters for those chilly evenings.

Great beer and great servicing staff. The "bouncer" on the front door was very rude. He didn't let two of us join a table of friends because "it ain't a four person table is it?!" We'd been on that table supporting the business for three hours the day before with four people! One of the lovely servers had even placed two extra stools there. With any luck with the lift in restrictions this gate keeper won't be there anymore, this pub pours a great Harveys after all! 👍🏻

I have been to this pub 3 times since pubs were re-opened - it is now my 'pub of choice' and i recommend it to friends. Whilst my (now ex) local pub is too 'relaxed' for me about social distancing and caring about safe practice, the management and the helpful, friendly staff in the Waggon and Horses have obviously worked hard to create a safe environment for their punters. They are a brilliant example of how businesses can overcome these challenging times and still provide a great environment for people to meet up and enjoy a few drinks in comfort (outdoor heaters, table service) and genuine safety. And prices not excessive for a 'town' pub. I'm impressed 👍. Recommend folks to support this effort and reward well-run businesses.

One of my favourite pubs within the North Laine. Friendly bar staff. Drinks are not too expensive! Great outdoor area! Always a happy vipe! They always put out sunday roast pots etc. It's also a free house many different beers..

Dec 2020. Sat outside under heated shelter. Plenty of staff to take your drinks and food orders. Unfortunately we waited one hour to receive our two small starters. They are using the Chilly Pickle restaurant for food.

Really needs to be more representative of the people of Brighton by offering a decent vegan menu. Drinks aren't cheap. £2 for a lime and soda is multiple times more than most other pubs. Atmosphere is just a bit quiet and depressing.

Waggon & Horses.. well, what can I say.. As living in a near by village Rottingdean, a group of myself and friends wanted a traditional pub that served tasty food as well as a having a warm atmosphere.. We entered the pub and was welcomed by the friendly staff that was serving behind the bar.. Food ordered and was certainly delivered. The ham, egg & chip burger was something beyond words.. tasty, juicy & full of flavour.. The overall service I received whist being in the pub was fast and friendly. Defiantly will be recommending and revisiting this place.

Great pub, good selection of ales, staff friendly, service quick & efficient. On Sundays free bar food is always on hand, something that used to be common place in most Brighton pubs, sadly rarely see it these days. Toilets need a bit of an up grade, last weekend the floor in the Gents was rather slippy. Hence 4☆ instead of 5☆s.

One of my favourite pubs in Brighton! No-nonsense, good outside space, excellent selection of whiskeys and well located. They even do whiskey and cheese taster nights from time to time! What more could you reasonably ask for?
