T. F.Happened to walk past this beautiful pub on the way back home. They have a lovely smoking area out the front with comfortable seating. (The only thing I would add is some heaters). The pub inside is really nice and they have a great selection. The bar lady was SUPER! Happy to talk about the beers on tap and the options behind the bar. Dont walk past, walk in :)

M. G.Lovely staff here. We sat outside and they took out drink orders separately. We paid for each round and it worked out quite nicely.
They don't have a chef at the moment - a problem a lot of eateries are no doubt having. They offered plates and cutlery if you wanted to get food delivered, which we did!

This is the my third time at the windmill since under new management and everything time has been a delight.
D. H.Decent local pub with a nice (but small) beer garden in front. Don't go here on the way to Pier Pressure if you're doing an eacape room there: Pier Pressure gives you a voucher for here, so there's always people talking about the game they've just done, which is an easy way to spoil it for you.
I. C.Lovely little pub with outside area for when the sun is out. Went there on Sunday with the family and we had a great Sunday roast. There is for everyone, chicken, beef and an amazing vegan option. The meat was soft and tasty. To use my daughter description, no chewy at all! :) we all finished our plate! The caullyflower cheese was delicious! We ordered a second portion :) They also sell the supernatural super tasty Igoo ice cream (the only one I give to my little one). It is a local Brighton ice cream, not easy to come by so I was pleasently surprised! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The playlist fantastic (for my taste obviously:) ) only reccomandation, I would put the volume slightly lower.

I.Went in here on the off chance one Tuesday, was delighted to hear that the curry was free on Tuesdays, not only that but it was very nice considering it was free. What a lovely gesture to give customers free food. Also has a very good selection of real ales including tribute, which happens to be one of my favourites. All in all a very good experience, me and my partner are looking forward to our next visit.
M. K.Nice little pub in Upper North street in Brighton, it has a small bar downstairs and another bar upstairs. We visited for the first time at Christmas, there was a lunch with interactive play which was great fun, highly recommended if you need a little something to get into the Christmas spirit. The food service was good and the staff were friendly and pleasant. There is limited street parking available but you might be lucky to find some although if you're going to be drinking alcohol, you'll get a taxi anyway. Located close to western road and central Brighton. Recommended 😀

I'm not into ales but they have a lot on the go for the crafty folks among you to try. Cosy atmosphere and decent Italian food with a good lot of meat-free options.

P. N.A lovely bar altogether. Professional and helpful staff, great drinks, and they put on a good pub quiz every week. When my wallet recently went walkabout, they clocked a customer trying to use my cards, and confiscated it from the culprit, before returning it to me the following day. They're on the ball, they put thought and effort into their work, and they make great drinks to boot. Highly recommend a visit.
D. C.Great little pub. Is just far enough out of town that it attracts a really nice crowd without the trash that usually haunt the likes of West Street. Beer garden out the front gets the sun until late and lots of people with dogs chilling outside and in. The dream!
A. Q.We visited as part of the Pier Pressure Escape rooms with a free drink offer and enjoyed a very leisurely soft drink and a coffee. Staff were friendly providing excellent service, selection of beers was fantastic and will back for a drink when not driving!
A. W.Hey! ... Heyyyy! I've only been here twice. First time I think it was closed (3am Christmas Eve) and the second was great. One of the friendliest bar staff I ever did meet. Nice. Dogs and kids roamed the pub plains. Great pub.
J. K.Lovely cosy pub and great food too. The guys do need to work harder at getting the kitchen working a little faster, when the good does come it's delicious!! There a friendly bunch, great customer service even in times of pressure and will bend over backwards to get things done for you!
B. W.Been a few times, but when I went here to watch the rugby the bar staff were hands down the most helpful I've ever seen bar staff, with regards to finding us space to sit, bringing drinks to us upstairs. They were great!
S. L.We ate dinner first, one evening with the off chance that my international guests could sample England's fish and chips. We instantly decided to and ate the amazing food from the menu. Italien tapas, mussels that were cooked to perfection and great beer. I had already arranged to meet some friends (10 people) there on the Sunday as well for a roast, with very high expectations, which were more than exceeded! I grew up in Brighton and it is hands down, one of the best Sunday roasts I've had. We had a 9 month old with us both times and were a large booking the 2nd both time with a large booking.

L. J.Sunny residential pub just off the beaten track, loved by locals, decent selection of ales (but not great), front patio that's sunny in the afternoons and interesting interior. Open all day so great for when nearby Craft Beer Co is shut!

B. H.Windmill is your average Brighton Pub, with not so amazing food (means that it is OK, but nothing that'd make it great) and a pretty average more commercial beer and ale selection.
It does sport however and it does not get too crowded even at major matches, so it is a solid choice for that!
