Absolutely bang on! Come in for some late lunch and had probably one of the best burgers in my life, photo should do that justice! Staff were really welcoming and accommodating and just overall lovely! We watched one of the staff members go out of her way to help and look after an elderly couple which was really lovely to see. Would recommend this lovely, lively little pub to anyone!

Great atmosphere and staff. Beer usually 5* too. I like the weathered walls but perfect ceiling, intentional I am not sure but it works. Cannot comment on food as not eaten here. Gents are clean but soap dispenser in a pool of water, which is not great. Use sanitiser after your 'go' but do mention to staff if you want... Oh yes, tables are cleaned thoroughly between people. Worth a visit for sure.

The bar staff were incredible. Hannah, Maggie and Beth especially. They did a stellar job dealing with an awkward customer that was being a nuisance to several customers. Each of them behind the bar did their best to make it a comfortable experience for myself and my friends. Nothing but respect to their bar team tonight, 14/2/22.

Quite a quirky place with nice decor and in a good location. Star rating lowers due to pricing though. A staropraman at most pubs in Brighton is around the £4.50 mark in here I was shocked to see it priced at £5.60 a pint!

Social distancing in place during my visit. Food was good (the 'substantial meal') and definitely filling. Service was excellent and pub seems to be well run. Be aware the Blue Moon is on draft and not bottled so you'll get a standard pint if you order unknowingly instead of a half measure.

We were drawn in my the deal on cocktails. Got to the bar only to be told "I'm not doing cocktails at the moment." Not the best start. But a nice ale was the next best thing. The pub is ok. Nice and clean. It's all a bit weird at the moment due to the pandemic but they made an effort to keep people safe.

Came here a few weeks ago for a mulled cider. Service was great and spoke to whom may have been the owner? 3 stars for whoever that sweet guy and girl were. Came back today and two rude ladies brought me the same drink, when I stepped outside to sit on the bench, both came out and asked me to leave since I ordered the drink to go. There isn’t a table, it’s literally a bench. Once I got up, they both sat down for a smoke. Cheers to customer service.

There is an option for any palate. Very good prices. Food was good, nice selection of beers - I enjoyed the blue moon. We went for Sunday roasts (beef, chicken and seitan) and fish and chips. In london I would have paid £16/18 minimum for the same dishes. Happy that I could get a £6.95 children's portion. If you don't want to stuff yourself. The service very professional as if you were in a proper restaurant.

The beer and in general the choice of alcohol is very good. Great service and it is very nice pub to sit in and enjoy a drink. Beware it is on the higher end of the spectrum for price so if that is something that matters to you, then its probably worth steering clear.

I have had Bangers and Mash in many pub's over the years but I have to say that I have had the best Bangers and Mash ever in the William the Fourth. Bar staff were fantastic and polite. I will now have my lunch in there when I am in town.

Nice place. It looks good, it's clean and friendly. The beer choice is a little obvious but good all the same. The food was good, plentiful and had an original twist. All except the chicken wings which were awful. They were bland, pre cooked and reheated. It seemed so out of place with quality of everything else. In summary, definitely go here, it's good, just don't order chicken wings.

A peaceful friendly atmosphere nestled right between the lanes and North laine. Friendly staff and a great selection of beers spirits and wines. Gets busy afterwork Fridays but that's no bad thing as it attracts the professional crowd and everyone is generally very easy to get on with. Their kitchen is great too so definitely worth checking out next time you visit.

Usually love this pub but yesterday was left disappointed. Had a bloody Mary which wasn't prepared as previous times. The glass usually has a chilli crust and comes with a nice stalk of Celery, this wasn't the case yesterday. The Celery was well beyond its best, wilted and going brown. No crust on the glass. The other issues was the music, it was dire to say the least. For the amount of patrons in the pub, the music was blaring and awful. A beautiful sunny day with a durge being played, which was the reason we only had one drink. I've been coming to this pub for over 30 years and I will give it another go, but they must serve consistent drinks and turn the music down when the pub is half empty. On a positive note, the staff were lovely when my partner mentioned about the bloody Mary.

Been to this pub a fair amount and the food is great and I've never had a problem with the staff. However the cost of the beer is mental, I asked for a pint of Brewdog Punk I.P.A which I drink a fair amount... rarely do I pay over £5 for a pint but it was £6.55 for a pint here, for there to not be any visible tarrif or warning at the extortionate prices is a joke, yet a bottle of corona and a G&T cost £8, their pricing makes no sense what so ever!

Another vintage Brighton pub that has recently had a huge make over, definitely for the better. Great decor, great selection of beers and drinks. Food is really nice and competitively priced for city centre, their Sunday roasts are one of the best in the city. The staff were friendly and prepared to give help with drink choice from the numerous craft beers. Really nice pub, will be using frequently... so glad they kept the original name as well, the 'William the Fourth' is part of Brighton heritage!

Amazing place to eat and relax in the middle of busy Brighton. The pub has been newly decorated giving is modern and tasteful interior with lots of plants. The food is fabulous with quality way above your avarage pub. I had beetroot salad which I highly recommend - fragrant and generous with lots of nourisihing ingredients. There is plenty to choose to drink but make sure you have something to eat there. You will be pleasently surprised.

Decent now it’s had a refurbished. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, good beers, good food - the curry is incredible with a huge poppadom bowl! Not cheap but what you expect for central Brighton

The William the Fourth is a good place to go for a pint with friends - great atmosphere and friendly staff. A cracking location but it does get busy! The bar has a fine selection of drinks and a suitably Brightony vibe. Highly recommended

Very nice, good small gin menu, hearty food but all a little pricey. Beware the 2 for £12 on cocktails - they don’t make it clear that the drinks have to be the same ones!
