Love this place. Cozy and warm atmosphere. Family friendly too. Very knowledgeable staff at the bar who clearly gave us info on the differences of the ales and helped us make good choices too. Love the drinks and food (very filling, lightly battered fish and chips). Friendly staff overall. Had a very pleasant experience.

This pub has a deservedly excellent reputation. They offer a superb collection of locally and house-brewed beer, as well as cracking pub grub. It's also quite simply a nice place to be. There's a glowing warmth to it, and it's a perfect spot to relax with friends over a pint and a an assortment of battered snacks

Nice staff, Mac n cheese was slim pickings I can’t lie. If you need me to grab a pack of macaroni from Tesco on my way over next time, let me know. Beer was decent.

Dog friendly, yummy burgers, splendid microbrewery beer. A really welcome find on a Friday night that was cold and windy, we had just arrived for a weekend break and didn't want to leave the dogs in a strange hotel room. Popped to the bar and was greeted by a friendly member of the team who said absolutely we were welcome. We owned a pub and microbrewery until recently so we know a thing or two about well kept ale and the beer really was spot on. Food arrived after only about a 20 minute wait, perfectly cooked, fresh and just the right portion. Highly recommended!

Been going to this pub years - used to love the pub quiz they hosted and the vibe is always great. Went last week for the first time in around a year and the food seems to have taken a down turn. Chicken burger I received was multiple pieces of chicken (how can you eat this as a burger?) and was so tasteless and dry. The bun was so toasted it was rock hard, couldn’t even cut it with a knife and fork. The other people at my table also rated their food as poor. Hope they make some changes soon because I used to love this pub for drinks AND food!!

WOW what a place… real ale was very nice not like other places where you get a hint of pipe cleaner.. I had the B&K burger and it was 1 of the nicest and tastiest burgers I’ve had in a long time, very nice atmosphere too 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

New menu - incredible flavour! Popped in after work today and tried out some of the new menu and it is absolutely incredible! Had 3 small plates of Korean Mushrooms, Crispy Cauliflower and Nachos and it was so incredibly tasty! And forget small plates they were huge! Perfect for sharing or a super hungry person but by no means small! Great service, thank you for my early evening visit :)

Really good beer selection but I have to say, the Mac & Cheese and Beer Can Chicken we had were pretty average. Lukewarm and fairly bland. Would come back for the atmosphere and beer but would go elsewhere to eat.

We booked a Beer Tasting Masterclass for our Anniversary and it was great fun. Oscar was our host for the evening and he was friendly, approachable and had a broad knowledge of craft beers and ales. We had 8 half pints each of a selection of weird and wonderful craft selections and we had to give them a rating out of ten. I highly recommend giving the classes a go, it's worth the money.

We went for the brewing experience and helped the head brewer brew a tasty brew. Breakfast, lunch, a half pint of all their beers and a 5L keg of a beer of your choice to take home. We all had a great day and thoroughly recommend the experience. The chicken wings are recommended. A great day had by all.

Pros: Good location and atmosphere, clean and tidy. Pretty fast and friendly service. Large range of drinks. Can seat large groups. Cons: Food wasn't great. I had the beer can chicken with honey and sriracha sauce. Chicken was dry and sauce tasted like regular sweet chilli sauce. Sides: tenderstem broccoli - pretty tasty but was served directly on the paper lining the tray; mac n cheese - very salty but the breadcrumbs on top were nice.

Really well thought out venue with a great food and drink selection. The burgers were really tasty and juicy with a good flavour. Lots of different beer options including several brewed on site. The decor is very interesting and it's great how they've got a real link to all of the ingredients you'd find in a brewery. Tasting sessions were advertised along with brewing sessions. Really nice pub with a lively atmosphere on a Friday night. Very close to great restaurants! The food is good but I have to say that the nachos were just alright. The cheese was barely melted and the whole thing just looked a bit sloppy. Anyway, a really good experience.

Great selection of beers, quite a few brewed on the premises. They're all pretty good too! Pork scratchings are recommended, particularly the habanero variety. Atmosphere is bustling without being overly frantic; food looks quite nice but we didn't try it this time.

I had a roast dinner here 2 weekends ago, lovely venue and good service at the bar but the Yorkshire pudding was burnt, and the gravy was far too salty for me, my friend also noticed the salty taste but he was happy to carry on eating . No one came over to check if we were happy with the food until they noticed we finished. I complained and they were happy to give me a full refund.

Good atmosphere, clean and well presented. This is our work's regular location for termly social events. Food was excellent, average pricing for the area. They have a huge selection of alcoholic drinks, however I don't drink so I cannot comment in any more detail sorry. Only bad point is the toilets. Really low water pressure and broken locks on stalls. 1 dryer which isn't very effective. If they sorted this then it would be a 5.

Brewing experience. Spent 7 hours enjoying ourselves. Great day. We were well treated. Mataeus and Dave were very knowledgeable. Lots to eat and drink. Train station just over the road. So didn't have to drive. Thank you for a fantastic day.

Comfortable, lots of tables, good selection of beers and food. I was very unhappy with the service. Barman didn’t pull a full pint and rolled his eyes when I asked him to top it up. This is a very basic and common request in a pub.

More hops than a rabbit farm. I went on one of the fantastic brewing experiences these guys offer. As well as feeding me they provided all kinds of delicious beers throughout the day. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Beer! Beer! Beer! Their in house brewed is a must try. Bear in mind it's all unfined and vegan friendly- definitely more of a consideration these days. Not the cheapest pub but certainly a much cheaper "craft beer" option than King St in town. Far less pretentious and far more enjoyable than a dedicated hipster beer offering. We even had our wedding reception upstairs! It was a great location and a lovely team. Spacious and well planted up beer garden albeit across the road. Food available but haven't tried.

First class establishment and deservedly on the Cask Marquee Ale Trail. The superb ales, brewed on site, are unfined - ie, cloudy. For those who drink with their eyes, this will be a problem; those with a more discriminatory taste will experience really notable beers, well deserving of the Cask Marque accreditation. The staff are well trained and seem genuinely interested in what they do, Guto, especially was attentive and affable. I tried a lite bite, the Spicy Chicken Wings, this was also OK, but if I wanted to be picky, perhaps another five minutes under the heat would have made them perfect. Interestingly, for an establishment bracketed on both sides, here IS a beer garden. Tables and chairs are laid out across the road from the main entrance and patrons are welcome to take food and drink across this road and sit in the afternoon sun - when it shines.

El menjar estava bo. Els xampinyons estaven un poc salats però la resta estava bé. El postre va ser la millor part del sopar. També vam gaudir de música en directe. En general, van posar música rock tota la nit. Una altra cosa que em va agradar vore és la diversitat en l'edat de la gent que estava passant Cap d'Any allí.
