We hadn't made a booking, so pleased they were able to accommodate us. It wasn't overly busy, plenty of choices on the menu and the food arrived quite quickly. It was tasty and portion sizes were good, recommended for those nights you just don't know what to have!

We popped in for a quick drink and snack on Boxing Day afternoon before everyone went back to their homes. It was really busy but we were easily accommodated and had a lovely time catching up. We had some nibbles and drinks and the atmosphere was so festive. Would happily return again :)

Quiet and warm little pub with a good selection of foods to cater for all. Attentive and fast acting staff meant you were not waiting around for long for food, desserts or the bill! The picture I have added is of the Rocky Road Sundae which was quite delightful

Lovely food with a great atmosphere. Martha, Emma and Andy were all absolutely incredible! The service was amazing and they were all very attentive! I will definitely be coming back as they have a really good vegan range and atmosphere!

We haven't been to The Fox for probably 3 years and we wouldn't hesitate to return again. Emma our server was lovely, very friendly and professional. I commented how nice the Pepsi glasses were when the drinks arrived and she said "lots of people say that, and I know how many are on your table!" It made us all laugh and certainly made us feel at ease. The food was lovely, the steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were exceptional!

I booked for 9 people. We are a family group wanting to get together for a meal and a get together. We were welcomed and sat in a large space near a window which was nice. The lady who served us was really nice and accommodating to some of more fussy family members. We all have a very pleasant time and will be returning soon.

Last minute booking but able to get a table. The service was great really attentive. The food was surprisingly great and excellent value. I had 10oz Rump steak and I would say fantastic value and so tastey. My wife had a curry and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

We booked a table for my son's birthday this evening. Our waitress was Emma. Our food was lovely and Emma was so attentive and amazing with the children that we brought. They are 3,6 and 7 and it is not always easy to keep them entertained whilst we enjoy a meal but she made it look effortless. Thank you Emma for a lovely evening. We will come again :-)

Our server (cant remember his name, but he's been there a looooong time) was great, The chicken was a little dry on the mega hunters, but nothing to bad, meal was still really nice. My partners steak was undercooked but, this was quickly replaced with no problems at all and she enjoyed her meal also. Overall fantastic food

I have only given 5 star as our waitress Emma was amazing, would probably have given 3 without her as pizza oven broken and a lack of vegetarian options. Emma really was fantastic and helped us with choices with I must add a big smile and warm personality if it wasn't for her I think out night would have been a disaster.

Came here for a Friday night treat with some work colleagues and I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s a lovely place, great food and friendly service. Abbie served us and she was lovely and attentive and the chefs (Jason and Lee) did a fantastic job.

The online booking system was very easy to navigate and quick to book. Staff were very polite from the moment we arrived. We were there for over 2 hours and at no time were we rushed. We have made the Fox our place to go for family meals and meeting friends. We live approx 4 miles away and even with a drive and various pubs in between the Fox is our favourite place. We love the atmosphere and the kids area. The food is amazing and having the outside heated area means we can enjoy evening times as well as we did on New Year's Eve. The staff are so friendly and the menu and food is amazing.

We went for the Mr Niggle's magic show and disco but we didn't really know what to expect. However, we were blown away! The kids absolutely loved it! We sat with our cocktails and watched the show- they were absolutely captivated! All of us had the New years Eve set menu and it was fabulous, delicious and amazing value. The champagne salmon was divine! All of the staff were friendly and helpful and service was rapid. Overall a perfect end to a challenging year. We will definitely be seeing the fox in 2022!

We were met at the door with lovely staff. We had 3 children and they were told about the egg hunt and given the paperwork to do it. We were shown to our table and the children were given crayons and clues where to look for the letters. Everyone was so friendly.

Made phone booking for 2. Lovely presented pub. All areas spotless. Table service was just right with quick service and the friendliest staff I've ever come across in a pub. They really looked happy in their job and were very professional whilst being chatty to us and smiling. We really felt welcomed. Real ale was perfect and the food was served in a very good time, not rushed and the first time I've had properly cooked fried eggs in a pub! We had large mixed grill, a burger and garlic bread. Was all perfect. Our waitress was Abbie and the chef was Charlotte. Abbe was amazing! Every pub needs an Abbie. She really was an excellent host and nothing too much trouble. Please look after her...she's a credit to The Fox! Many thanks to Charlotte too. Faultless food and we really hope you're cooking again as we will definitely be returning. Thank you both and indeed, the rest of the team, for a wo derful evening.

The server Emma was fantastic, very friendly and very considerate and made us feel very qelcome from the moment we arrived. We were a very large table and Emma did have to put up with a lot of sarcasm from our table and she was preofessional and full of humour. All staff very pleasant. Food was very nice and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We were here for 4 joint birthdays and they did bring out a birthday card from all of the staff which was a lovely touch.

Was the best food I have ever had from the fox I even asked the chefs names so next time I can see it'll they are working, I had the mixed grill and everything was cooked to perfection. We ordered the Stilton and port steak, we got a sirloin steak without the sauce. I check with the kitchen server why there was no sauce, he said he would get back to me - he didn't. I called the lady who took, the order and she admitted it was her fault as she had keyed in just the steak. This is the first time we had been back to The Fox in Yate for two years, the last time we were here the food was appalling. We will think very carefully I future. The other Marstons pubs in the area are very good. We eat out at least one a week. Very disappointed with this meal.

My Dad and I went to this restaurant for dinner,The atmosphere In the restaurant is always nice,friendly and welcoming. I had the knock out fox burger and iv got to say it way the best I have ever had but the chips tho 😍💯but what made us coming back is the food but also the facted the service is absolutely amazing. We had Emma as our server and she was just so kind and friendly and made our experience extra a whole lot better as well as the food and atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

It has a child and adult menus. The pizza in the child menu is very nice. There puddings are very nice as well and it has a very big alduly menu. It also has a bath room and a lot of tables. Also it has a real fire by one of the seats. And that's all I can say for now. It's pizzas taste a little too salty to me.

Good atmosphere & a very nice place to be for a meal with your friends & fam'. The menu is good & had a festive option @the time we went there but with not just turkey 🦃 or equally seasonal fares on offer but more normal meals like "stacked burgers" with a festive twist (topped with brié cheese & pigs in blankets) for those of us who didn't want to have a full Krimbo dinner again rite after the day B4. Service was a little slow but probably because they were only having 2 services (albeit staggered) that day so as to let people chat with no rush or pressure to finish your meal & leave the table for the next party to be able to sit down etc. Been here B4 on a normal day/menu & each time I'm not disappointed. Always room for improvement that's why I never give 5 stars/perfect marks but also no complaints. All in all, a good place to go! 👍

Food was delicious and hot when served. Lots of meat huge Yorkshire pudding but only a tiny bit of carrot and cabbage which was a huge let down as we all love veg. Extra gravy in a little gravy boat. Pudding Lemon cheesecake I highly recommend. Apple pie was huge with plenty of custard. Service was the best I have had in any place I have eaten. We were all extremely happy with how we were treated by our server (sorry have forgotten if he was called Andy or Ali). Bar staff lovely and served straight away.

Steak quality didn't seem the best on my last visit, the Steak was hard to cut and very chewy. Visited again on Valentines 22 and steak was an improvement and the prawn cocktail presentation is not the best. Come on its in a desert dish that you would normally eat your breakfast from.

First time visiting and was over the moon and returning with booked table already. My Dad is in a wheelchair so I always find it difficult to find the correct places to take him to make it enjoyable for him but I can certainly say this place is the ideal spot if your also looking for somewhere to take your loved one. Food was delicious we had roast dinners, pie and pudding all amazing and great presentation. Lovely pub with great looking outdoor space which I will be taking a friend to when I have some free me time. Love how you can also book a table and leave messages for staff. Firstly it was easy to book a table online . We received a warm welcome as always and shown to our table . The table service was fantastic she was friendly, very funny and we had everything we needed through out our visit . It was my Birthday , so I received a free pudding 😁

The team at the Fox are lovely, really friendly and welcoming. The drink options are great and reasonable priced. However the food quality is very poor, today we had burger's and they were not nice. The quality is terrible, the burger's had no flavour or any seasoning and tasted like very cheap meat. This is the second time we have eaten here following COVID lockdowns and have been disappointed on the quality of food. Previous to COVID we enjoyed eating here at least twice a month, it's doubtful we would come again due completely to poor food quality that is not reflected in price.

It was an impromptu meal for two on this day as I had a leave day and thought I would treat my wife to lunch. It was the cheaper lunch deal, which was okay but my battered fish was a little bit dry around the edges and the chips slightly softer than I would like. It didn't put me off too much but could have been better if I'm honest. We'll see what and evening meals like soon and keep you posted.

We had our work Christmas meal here and were not disappointed. The Fox is very welcoming clean and tidy. From the moment of the booking back in November until the day Everingham went well. Excellant choice of food and it was served hot and very tasty. Everyone in our party of nineteen enjoyed their food. The customer service was excellent. We were looked after by a lady by the name of Emma who made sure we were happy with everything and was very pleasant. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future. My wife is disabled and it’s quite frustrating when you pull up in the blue badge bay and the three other cars parked there don’t have blue badges only to be told by management that one of them(a beat up old pickup) does it all the time even when they are quite. Family friendly pub, two for one meals, kids play area, outside covered seating, big car park, pizza oven, very friendly efficient staff, never any trouble, tends to attract families and people coming out for a meal, relaxed chilled place.
