D. F.As a bar i rate it higher but I went for a bottomless brunch which was average, nothing special. The food itself was ok, medium sized portions but the chef/waiters got our 4/7 of our orders wrong which wasn't ideal.
The staff were polite and friendly, no complaints there.
If our food orders were correct and the price was lower then I would up my rating.

Only ordered lunchtime specials, upgraded to alcoholic drink for £1.50 some were charged over £5 for drink. Was eventually sorted. Was advised that I had to book 2 tables one for 16 and another for 3. 2 of the party couldn't attend so S&L sorted it so we could all be on a table together. This didn't work for many of us thanks to the poor WiFi signal and poor access to mobile data. When one of my friends brought this up with one of the staff members and asked if he could order at the bar he was told to go outside to get a better data signal.

E. H. S.I visited the Slug and Lettuce Harbourside venue over the weekend and fell in love! The venue was beautiful, the staff were lovely and the drinks were great. The 2 for 1 deal on cocktails was my favourite part, definitely worth the money. Will 100% be coming again.

M. W.Visited for a social on the 17th June 2019. Never been here before. Had a look on Friday 5th June 2019 but couldn't get in even though I found it.
Now I have been able to visit.
For a first impression many positives. Air Conditioned, so cool even in this heat. No Sports being shown, a major positive, less noise, less rowdy. Much more space and plenty of light. The toilets were like visiting Harrods, immaculate. Small tables and chairs, made it easy to circulate and no feeling of being crushed in a crowd or pinned in a corner.
A few minor points. The website doesn't give a favourable impression of the decor but I found it far better in practice. Didn't use the restaurant part or order any food, so no idea of that aspect.
They do not give much information of what is available at the bar on the drinks menu from the website which is very strange and why I went to have a look if I could. No idea what Real Ales or Cask Mark Accredited anything were available no sign and a limited range on draught for a first impression. Heineken, Amstel and Guinness I noted.
Service was pleasant and efficient and certainly not crowded at the time either.
Prices are slightly more about 60p a pint more, £4.20 for Amstel, £4.80 for Heineken but again I note all charge a little more being City Docks, paying for the view and nearby water. Do keep in mind it is a more modern building in the style of a Docks Transit Shed. It is not a Waterside Public House like The Ostrich for instance.
A good first impression so I would try it again.

Food came out in good time. Was presented absolutely lovely and it tasted delicious. I had the fishcake salad.
Waiting staff were really friendly and courteous, and polite. They couldn't have done more. Well done guys.

We came here for a team night out and the staff seemed unsure which table was ours. We were given menus and asked to order at the Bar. When I asked for a gluten free menu, I was met with a blank stare and had to ask to speak to a manager to attain one. Once done, I then had to read it alongside a normal menu to know how much each meal was.
Once I'd finally made my choice and ordered, with some confusion again about gluten free food, the food came out quickly, but was mediocre.
All I can vouch for is that the venue is nice and in a lovely location. There is also a good selection of alcohol.
I'd be reluctant to visit again.

Because apart from that you get a super loud rowdy atmosphere, dirty table, overcrowding, and dirty toilet facilities.

C. H.Such a good place for an afternoon or night out. We (4 of us) had afternoon tea (£17.50 a head) which consisted of open sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, an assortment of cakes (bitesize) and two cocktails, which do have to be the same, but if you are in a group then you can just switch them amongst yourselves. We then stayed for the 2 for 1 cocktails until dinner time and ordered more food and cocktails. £217 later we were well fed and had a very enjoyable afternoon, the staff were friendly (and really happy) and had a few laughs with them, they were very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Food was of a very high standard with a good selection available, the staff were knowledgeable about the cocktails and had their own favourites to recommend. An excellent visit.

S. S.Asthetically, the place is wonderful. Nice interior with a lovely bar. The food was alright. The lack of non alcoholic drinks was disappointing but if you're into you alcohol then you will be spoiled for choice. I had a steak wrap and chips. The wrap was massive and very filling however there wasn't much distinct taste to it. The chips came Cold and there wasn't a lot of them. When we came round to ordering desert, the two deserts we wanted they didn't actually have available so we were left without a desert. All in all, a nice place for a date night.

K.It's good for what it is, chain pub in good location with a fair amount of outdoor seating. Midweek it's suitable for all, evenings from 5 gets an after work crowd and weekend evenings can be lively. Big venue and you can book tables and spaces. Food good, well priced and deffo at the top end of the slug chain

A. H.A large modern bar in the harbour side area of Bristol. Parking in the NCP underground nearby. You can sit inside or outside. From what I remember it is wheelchair friendly. The location is flat! It has been renovated recently so looks like new again.

Decor and ambience are fantastic, great place for large groups and have a great range of different seating and a covered outdoor seating for any weather and smokers. Cocktails and food menu are great and have a wide variety. A must visit!
S.We visited on Monday 25th March for breakfast. The bar had recently been refurbished and looked wonderful! The veggie breakfast was delicious and the member of staff with the amazing mustache was extremely helpful and friendly, thank you!

Issue here is poor cocktail quality - either need to be cheap, alcoholic and cheerful or expensive, alcoholic and quality hand made to order; here expensive chucked together and tasteless with minimal alcohol (e.g. long island iced tea - which is usually a good measure of cocktail quality - should taste of its constituent alcoholic parts laced with cola and not just weak watery cola).
