Reviews of The Eastfield Pub
M. J.
Just had our cricket club diner at the Eastfield Inn after a couple of years away & under the new owners. Delighted to report it was even better than normal, 40 people handsomely catered for, including cooking a variety of steaks to perfection. Massive thanks to Kanitta and all her staff who looked after us so well. Would highly recommend, we’ll be back
Z. H.
Held my father's wake here today. Space was perfect and private. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
N. G.
Oh wow what a beautiful evening we’ve had in this gorgeous pub! Delicious pizza, Children playing in the enclosed play area, friendly and engaging staff.
A. S.
Very nice food the service was good but a very limited menu I thought £30 for a steak was outrageous I certainly won't be paying that for a steak and I don't think I will visit again
S. P.
Hi Kanitta, just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the staff at the pub. The family had a great evening on Saturday and the staff on the night were brilliant and so helpful. I will definitely recommend The Eastfield for future gatherings! Thanks again.
C. S.
A large turn of the century establishment on the Cask Marque Ale Trail.
The ale was passable, I wouldn't send it back, but I have tasted better.
It was quiet on the midweek lunch time I visited, but even so, parking is scarce. Popular with pedestrian locals I should imagine.
d.
Bright, cheerful and pretty buzzy on a Friday evening. Well worth a visit. Pizzas looked great

We had SUCH a great time at the Eastfield for our son's 4th birthday. The skittles room is loads of fun, plenty of room for a large party and a decent little speaker to play your own music.
Food (roasts, as it was a Sunday) was very, very good. Everyone impressed. No mean feat given the size of the pub to churn out food of that quality.
Service brilliant.
Thank you!

I recently visited the Eastfield for lunch with my partner. The pub was busy but the staff were clearly well trained and working very hard. We ordered starters originally which tasted fantastic. So much so that we ended up ordering a main each too. The food came out in a timely fashion and was all superb! Well done to the chefs too who were clearly dealing with a lot of orders (sometimes chefs can be forgotten due to being 'behind the scenes).
What I particularly loved about the outside area was watching all the kids running around and dogs playing. It's rare to find establishments that cater to the above so well now. The atmosphere really great.
I was told by our waitress that a their 'new menu' will be launched next week. It's safe to say we'll be back! Multiple times to try everything I expect!
After such a hard year last year It's great to see a business thriving with happy staff.
Well done!

A little disappointed we went for Sunday lunch and there were 3 in our party and the small dish of vegetables allowed one teaspoon size of the cabbage etc.Carrots were raw as could snap them in half so a little sad as we had heard from friends so sadly we will not be going again and not Cheap £107. Is not what I would call cheap for 3 people

Opening night last Friday. Table service, no long wait or frustrating app orders! Beer selection is good, including Gamma Ray 👍. Fish and chips were fantastic. Beer garden is huge, can't wait to visit on many more occasions.
Back several times .. Gamma Ray still £5;50 which is great considering the artificial price hikes due to COVID. Food, still looking good.

Service was fantastic, really liked the food and the place is really family friendly. You can see why they've won awards for being a great family pub, they're well catered for. The beer garden is particularly nice with play equipment for the kids as well as a quail run and a fish pond.
G. P.
We had a 65th birthday with 12 people having a roast dinner. The roasts themselves were a lot better than expected. The beef was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables were just right!
The staff had the food ready to go for the time we booked the table for as well.
B. L.
Pub is friendly. Good selection on menu and food good. Just felt it was a little pricy, but would definitely go again
S. T.
We visited on (I think) a Saturday afternoon the other week and we had our two dogs with us. The staff were all over our friendly poodles and the atmosphere was very pleasant indeed.
One thing I love about this pub is the interior design - some of the interior decor and furniture looks like it’s straight out of a trendy magazine - very nice indeed.
Unfortunately we were not hungry but they had a full size pizza oven all fired up in the garden, which looked brilliant.
Very pleased to say that this is one of my three locals and it’s certainly the nicest. It would be great if the Zazu’s Pub Co could also buy my nearest local… I won’t say which pub but it’s not far away and could do with the magic touch they’ve applied to the Eastfield.
S. E.
Very friendly service, food was amazing (I had chicken roast)
Will be coming back :)
Very good value for money…Tasty food and staff friendly and attentive, what more do you need?? :)
C. N.
We had our wedding meal at the Eastfield and it was perfect. Lovely space, great service and wonderful food.
Thanks so much to Kanitta and the team for making it such a special day, would recommend to anyone and hope to see you soon :)
N. D.
We sat in the covered area outside so only passed through the pub quickly. It looked very nice. There is a nice big garden with lots of seating and also some play equipment for kids. The staff were nice and friendly and attentive without being too over bearing. We had nachos, chips with pulled pork and a fish finger sandwich. Unfortunately it was all very greasy. A lot of the nachos had gone more brown in colour because of the grease. The staff did ask if we found everything okay as we were eating and I should have said something then but didn't. So that was my fault. I would go back as the service is good but only for drinks next time.
K. K.
Had the weirdest sandwich here, chicken and bacon should be easy enough, but it came out all mushed up into tiny pieces, it was cold and the sauce had the weirdest taste, can't describe it. My mum didn't eat any of hers, we told the waitress and nothing was done. I've got a feeling they're trying to make their sandwiches posh but missing the mark. Staff were friendly but food was lacking. Small lunch menu too, don't think we'll go back which is a shame because we're local and like to support local businesses.
K. D.
Nice atmosphere to have a drink or food. Spacious inside and out.
M. L.
Lovely meal. Staff very pleasant. Look forward to returning
S. E.
Lively looking and roomy pub with a selection of session ales in good condition. Polite barman and varied but simple menu.
Food arrived swiftly and both meals were hot and tasty. Husband said his steak was an unusual cut. I fancied some apple sauce would have been a compliment to the pork (even though it was with a mustard sauce) so I ordered apple crumble for pudding to compensate, which was delicious. Paul's pudding was also a delight.
Loved the restored tables and healthy looking greenery. A bit more bric a brac might be fun. All in all a great evening on a wet Monday in mid October.
U. A.
10/10 menus rather small three things I love large fish from Devon burgers and steak . good selection of healthy foods there
Decor and building is immaculate tidy spacious detailed some seating areas could do with a lil upgrade .
M. W.
Nice spot for lunch on a Tuesday with good outdoor areas friendly staff and good food 😎👍
J. A.
Lovely service and the Sunday roast was really great - that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like roast!
D. T.
Nice decor, and atmosphere drinks are a little pricey for the location. Great garden
K. E.
Really disappointed. No atmosphere on a Saturday evening. Booked a table in the restaurant and was sat right by the door (open and freezing) next to a thorough fare. Ordered a steak at 6pm, and they had run out! Food was ok. Service non existent.
G. H.
Excellent service, delicious pizzas and puddings, very good looking head chef
S. P.
I booked the Conservatory at the Eastfield to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was a perfect space, with access to the garden for when the inevitable summer rain finally cleared. The kids enjoyed the playground.
The buffet food was very nice with good options for both meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Everyone was very complimentary.
My guests and I felt very well looked after by Kanitta and the staff.
E. S.
Visited earlier in the week and unfortunately this place has gone downhill. Furniture was creaky, food was overcooked and lacking much flavour (I had a burger), also could have done with a small salad as part of the meal (as is normal in most places), rather than as an extra side. Staff were friendly but the rugs and furniture were old and somebody had left a little 'present' in the ladies, suggesting that the toilets hadn't been checked in a while. Such a shame because we used to love the Eastfield and it was our hangout when we started dating 14 years ago. We're currently planning our 10th wedding anniversary party fo next year and the Eastfield was at the top of our list. Sadly after our recent visit, neither of us said we'd return.
T. H.
What a great evening , love the new decor and vibe . Lovely welcome as you arrive and they show a choice of seating options in or out - Ate in the massive beer garden that goes way back behind the pub with plenty of seating and lush vegetation.Service was attentive , plenty of smiles and menu had plenty to tempt us , olives , nachos , haddock and chips , great burger , steak and gammon all top notch - will be back
N. B.
Not as cosy as other pubs in the chain. More emphasis on food which I am sure is great but could be nicer for when just popping in.
A. H.
Relaxed atmosphere with loads of room inside and out, some supply issues with beers last couple of weeks but I'm sure it will get sorted out. Independence on tap was great, also American IPA.
I. J.
Popped in for a pint with a friend. Didn't realise they are part of a small local group and I have reported on "The Westbury Park" previously. They have a lot here modernising and it looks fresh, modern, clean and inviting. Lots of space and a good local ale in Butcombe original, now to come back to try the food which I was assured was different to The Westbury's menu.
A. n.
We had a birthday party for our 3 year old last Saturday, Kanitta was extremely helpful and organised a lovely pizza dinner for our guests. Everything was well managed, the staff were friendly and we had a memorable experience.
R.
Great fish and chips and a lovely pub garden
P. T.
Good food. Large garden. Definitely family friendly! Could probably find a quiet spot if that's what you wanted! Friendly staff.
A. A.
Friendly and well run pub with lots of space for big events of 30-40 people or smaller lunches and socialising. The garden at the back is great when the sun shines.
S. C.
First time we have visited this pub and we ordered sunday lunch we were not disappointed it was lovely .we both had belly of pork. Great food Great service we will definitely go back. Only down fall I booked the table a week before and when arriving they didnt have our names down. Luckily we got in and got a table.
A. J.
My husband and his best mate's favourite pub. Staff always friendly. Ale selection must be good if they both return regularly.
S. L.
Lovely lunch here with family, very family and dog friendly. Great food also and wide choice of beverage.
G. E.
As soon as we walked in the door the customer service was excellent from start to finish. The bar area was lovely and looked very clean and cosy. My family and I were seated in the conservatory looking area, which had scuffs, holes in the walls and areas of damp too. It could definitely do with a freshen up as the room has potential. Also, our food was lovely, there was clean plates all round but there wasn't enough for us especially for the price paid. My 2 year old son had fun playing indoors, unfortunately due to bad weather the play area outside was flooded so cannot fully review this.
G. B.
Love the new decor and ambience at The Eastfield and it was so good to enjoy a few drinks with friends on the patio. We tried a few snacks - the nachos were especially delicious. I look forward to trying other dishes soon!
K. R.
The only drawback is coming in from the garden at 10:00pm. Which is fair, given they need to keep on good terms with their neighbours.
The beer is pleasant, I particularly liked the Arbor Shangri-la, although that wouldn't be to everyone's taste. Can't say for the food as I didn't try it. Would I go back - yup!
A. M.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff at The Eastfield Pub. Amazing atmosphere and just lovely staff. They went above and beyond uto give us everything we required. Thier function room is such an intimate setting and the beautiful money tree of the beautiful Kattina's is remarkable. Kattina especially was so helpful and looked after me before the guests arrived. Huge thank you to you all for an amazing night. If you want a friendly lively and fantastic venue i suggest you look no further. Thank you Katinna for an amazing night xx
J. C.
Nice friendly pub, excellent burger.. Veggie. Really good service.
One star off due to the noise levels... Nothing to dampen sound and it was v loud!
J. A.
Had a birthday party in the Conservatory at The Eastfield last night.
Kanitta and all the staff were very kind, the room was perfect and the food was great.
I can’t recommend it more.
s. m.
Nice place but the play park wasn't great
R. H.
I visited the Eastfield on Sunday and I had the vegetarian roast and my boyfriend the roast pork, it was absolutely delicious! We were served by a really lovely man who I think his name is Ricardo, he couldn’t have been more attentive and polite.I’d highly recommend a visit
C. W.
Really friendly, good food & lovely decor.
S.
Decent pub, has always had a great garden for the little ones etc I read a previous review that said they once had Arbor Shangri-La and I wish this was still the case!
Best they have of anything modern on the IPA front is BeaverTown Neck oil and Gamma ray which is better than nothing but still pretty meh.
Arbor, New Bristol Brewery, Left Handed Giant, Fierce & Noble, the list goes on and on for the decent Bristol breweries that offer the modern ipa’s, the game has changed since old man style dark pump ale. Please please get some decent craft back on tap or some cans in the fridge would be gert lush! X
S. W.
Newly decorated and friendly and efficient staff. But please don't serve me cloudy beer and try to convince me it's OK! A rare occurrence and I was offered an alternative eventually. Yes, I will be back.
R. S.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Eastfield. The menu is inventive, the food is fantastic & the service is superb. The only issue is the exorbitant cost of drinks.
S. T.
Beautiful, large garden. Enjoyed sitting in the sunshine. Be a great place to go with children. Very friendly welcome and service. Inside spacious and airy and tasteful.
I. J.
We were told there was a new chef so came for another go after a slightly disappointing previous visit. Not this time! Food was so delicious. Small but interesting menu, fab service and tasty dessert too.
M. F.
Good place to enjoy a pint. It's particularly a family friendly pub with a large beer garden at the back which includes a children's play area.
Just had a burger here from their lunch time menu which was very good quality, it cost £13.50. There was also a decent selection of ales.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
D. J.
Excellent food, the onglet steak was delicious. Staff knowledgeable and attentive. Competitively priced for the quality of the food, would definitely recommend this restaurant.
d. M.
Good food friendly staff clean and pleasant

Very good traditional pub. Always has a good range of ales, lagers and ciders on tap. Guest ales seem to rotate regularly so there is a good range. Food is good pub stuff, the small sharing plates are especially tasty. The large beer garden is lovely in summer, with rabbits and quails and a playground to amuse youngsters.
K. K.
Lovely meal at our favourite pub. Been a while since we last ate here. Received an email about new chef and £8 mains. Booked online via Quandoo. Arrived 15mins early and they were happy to accomodate. We scanned the NHS covid 19 app. 70% alcohol hand sanitizer. Masked up. We ordered using the app but advised afterwards to ask the staff at the table. Free Wifi. It was quite busy and drinks and food took a while to arrive but staff were v.polite and apologetic. My wife and I shared the mussels and chicken wings and chips, v.good. Served with choice of sauces, cutlery and paper serviettes provided by staff to the table. Haven't had mussels for a while, nice sauce and bread slice. Warm food. Kids shared fish goujons, peas, and chips. They ate the whole plate. Heineken 0.0% on draught for us and a bottle of alcohol free cider. (I was driving and my wife is pregnant) Babycinos and milks for the little ones. Decided to have desserts. Scoops of strawberry ice cream for them. Almond and Lemon cheesecake for us. All delicious. We asked for the final bill. Was presented with a clear bill and four gold foiled wrapped chocolates. Very welcoming. Facilities were clean and everything is laid out for social distancing. Asked about pub garden for spring next year will be improved considerably. Will look forward to visiting again. Thanks.
R. R.
Lovely food and superb service, the garden has been redone and we can't wait to bring the children as there is a super wooden castle to explore.
B. P.
Used to go to this pub 30 yrs ago. Very much improved like a lot of Bristol pubs. Nicely decorated and bright and airy. Had two visits this time. Food was good as was the beer. Very impressed with the garden and kids entertainment. Also a padded play area indoors. Our 18 month loved it.
C. B.
Really family friendly and allows dogs on a lead in the extensive outdoor and garden area. Good range of drinks including real ale and gin 😁😁😁. Food is very good and the staff are brilliant. Finished off a lovely visit to see family in Bristol.
S. C. F.
Recent experiences have been really top-class at this family-run and well-staffed pub. It's a great place to take the family for a roast, or just for a quiet drink with mates during the week. Food is exceptionally good for the price. Let's hope they can hang on to their current chef!
C. B.
Food was plentiful, delicious. Service was quick and polite, even on a busy Easter Sunday. We had a table in the family room, with a decent sized soft play pit to keep the children entertained. Would definitely go again.
J. B.
Lovely pub. Very accommodating. Nice garden fracturing a pond, rabbits and quails. There was also a swing and play park that had a slide, fireman's pole and various parts to climb on. Food was really nice, fairly standard pub fair with some more interesting specials.
C. G. E.
This is one of the best pubs I have been in for ages. Very big but so warm and friendly, the didn't seem to mind how long we were in the place.
Had some great tea, good selection, and coffee before a very nice meal. The staff are all excellent, I jyst wish this place was my local so I could make the most of it!
G. T.
This is the first time we visited but met some friends who are local.
Very nice place which caters for children with the pond and rabbits in the beer garden. There is a great climbing frame and a large garden so plenty of room for kids to wear themselves out.
Drinks are cheap (compared with London) and limited off road parking out the front. All in all a nice evening had in a cosy environment.
C. D.
Great place to go with small children. We were a quite big group and enjoyed a good roast in the Family room. The selection of toys kept the children entertained so the parents could have a chat. The table service was great.
T. C.
Staff were great, atmosphere was lovely and the food was really fantastic...Can't wait to go again!
P. J.
Excellent pub. We haven't eaten there so can't comment on food but it ticks all the boxes for me.
r. S.
back again for Sunday lunch, exemplary service, lucky to have this pub as our local.
A. W.
Very friendly pub great atmosphere service was great
M. S.
If you're a parent of a little one - there is a soft play area here that's superb. Food was nice. One issue, on the menu there is an offer '2 eat for £30' that comes with a bottle of house wine. We were told by staff it was only available on a different night, no mention of that on the menu, bit disappointing.
A. H.
We had a table of 6, drinks were great and food was fantastic, great to see the sun come out in the massive beer garden, will come again
D. P.
We've been here a fair few times. Both as a large group and for a quick meal between the school run madness. Relaxed, good range of beautiful food and the garden area is lovely in the sun. Child friendly and also feels 'grown up'!!
M. c.
Really large garden, big climbing frame, rabbits, quail and fish. Dogs welcome on a lead. Lots for children to do and see. Lunch and evening menu. We ordered a few sharing plates which were good value and tasty.
O. D.
Nice welcome, good beer selection and plenty of seating options - great to see how busy it was.
Need to improve their table service priorities a tad.
R. R.
Delicious food and great friendly staff!
C. S.
Great atmosphere, staff friendly.
H. W.
A group of us had lunch there today and everyone agreed that the food was excellent.
B. R.
Delicious food and a lovely garden
C. P.
This place was a great place to go with our kids. They were really accomadating and they had outside space with some climbing equipment and an inside space with some soft play. It wasn't packed but it is summer. Food was good. Vegan roast was really tasty and had protien!
E.
Nice big open bar area and huge garden with a small play area for kids. Food was nice.
G. B.
Food is superb and not practical joke priced
A. L.
This is a nice pub with lots of space and a good selection of drinks including many interesting real ales. There's a loyalty scheme for real ale pints too! Haven't tried to food, I'm afraid! Good location for bus travel and plenty of other retail nearby.
C. I.
We had a meeting here with buffet afterwards, and the food was very good, both in quality and quantity. They provide water and glasses at the bar which is very useful. The coffee was good, too.
C. J.
The pub is really nicely redecorated, had a lovely beer garden and the menu looked amazing!
R. M.
Wow to think this place existed and I only just discovered it!! If you read or follow me as a local guide you will know I like good food, good cider (good commercial cider is acceptable), cleanliness and most of all a happy environment for my children. I've never really found it until now....
On one hand I don't want to leave this review as I worry the establishment will become over run with families looking for good food and a good price and good children's entertainment. On the other hand the staff at the Eastfield need the recognition they deserve for providing such an amazing service within the boundaries of Bristol.
As always my partner and I were looking for somewhere to go for good food and something for the children to do this searches recently became futile and there's been nothing to meet our needs without travelling a great distance. Another online review suggested the Eastfield as a destination and we thought we would give it a go. Upon arrival first impressions were a very small carpark although the Eastfield is based on the main road and we find a car parking space yards from the front door.
Inside the Eastfield is very clean and very well presented on the way to the pub we looked at the menu in order to pre-empt what we planned on ordering as we didn't have a great time scale as it is close to the children's bathtime. We quickly followed well-placed signs to the garden.
Stepping out of the pub into the garden we were shocked at how a small fronted pub could have such a vast garden situated to the rear. As we walked through the garden it was clear to see why the small carpark was full. Children were running around laughing and enjoying themselves in this enclosed garden at the rear, as we headed towards an empty picnic bench we saw rabbits a fantastic pond and chickens. around the bend there was a fantastic children's play area very simple but very well built. The entire garden was very child friendly and was given the Care & attention a proud Gardner would give to their garden at home
I heading to the bar to not only place the food order and drinks order but congratulate the staff on such a fantastic first impression. My partner ordered the chicken salad I ordered the fish and chips and we ordered the chicken skewers with chips and beans for my son. We also ordered A starter to come with the mains of the halloumi chilli chips.
Whilst we were waiting for the food our son began exploring the garden and quickly made friends with a few other children his age. Our food arrived quite quickly and the presentation was fantastic as you'll see in the multiple attached photos. Again if you regularly read my reviews or follow me you know I normally only put one photo but the food was so well presented and tasted fantastic I could not do any justice to it by just putting A single photo.
It may sound like an exaggeration but on record I can't remember having such a lovely meal and such a lovely time. My battered cod and chips with what appeared to be home-made mushy peas and home-made tartar sauce was divine, the chips were tasty and crisp with soft fluffy inside most definitely home made. My partners salad had an ample portion of a delicious marinated chicken breast served in pieces, and my sons chicken was lightly grilled and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it was quite difficult to get him to the table as he was having so much fun in the garden.
The staff at the Eastfield could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. Several members of my partners family suffer with a wheat Intolerance so when the staff were asked if anything on the menu would be suitable for someone with such an intolerance we were happily informed most of dishes on the menu are cooked to order and allergies can be taken into account. And to top it all off my partner's father is a real ale Lover and the Eastfield offers a real ale reward card combine this with the wheat free options I know the Eastfield is going to become a regular stop for me and my family and my partner's family.
M. P.
A good family friendly pub. A nice selection of beers, although mostly on the light/hoppy end. Food was nice and reasonably priced. There is a large garden with a good play area for children.
J. H.
Great pub. Always enjoy going there either with or without children. Food and ales are good, staff are always accommodating particularly with children.
There's also a very pleasant garden for sunny days.
L. C.
Lovely food, lovely staff, they were really friendly and helpful!!! Recommend very highly. We had a fabulous birthday party with seven guests and all went really well.
J. M.
Nice suburban pub with a number of different spaces including conservatory, skittle alley and garden. Wide range of well-kept popular cask ales, though at over £4 a pint you know you're in a posh part of Bristol. Good basic upmarket food menu. Pleasant staff.
p. i.
Staff where truly lovely and attentive. Food was very tasty. The side elements fries where minimal and our food was served without salad dressing that other diners food was. Possibly a mistake but no explanation given.
N. S.
We recently held our small private wedding reception in the Conservatory at the Eastfield Inn. Right from the outset they accommodated everything I asked and even went as far as to use the decorations I had made and decorated beautifully. The team were attentive and despite this being booked on a Friday night on the bank holiday weekend the service was very good. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you! x
M. D.
Love it. Great place for gatherings or a beveridge. Haven't tried food looks and smells lush. ********* lots going on coffee morning or parties. Or just a quiet drink. Very comfy and friendly staff ******
N. E.
The Eastfield has improved tremendously over the last few years and it keeps getting better, carving itself place as something of a centre for the community. It's a great friendly pub where the beer, food and service are good and its family friendly during the day and early evening.
J. B.
Great pub great food
S. w. C.
Lovely pub, great for kids. Food is pricey but good but worth it for the playground in the garden and kids' room where they can have fun without annoying anyone! Great pub, great beer garden 😊
T. A.
Lovely place, very clean. My daughter had my grandsons birthday party there. Birthday food boxes for children are good but maybe the raisins could be swapped for for something else but overall very good
C. T.
Great beer and friendly staff. Plenty of space, huge garden, skittle alley. Didn't try the food so can't comment on that.
R. J.
Veggie burger was amazing. Really nice garden and good playground for older kids

Great refurbishment and garden. The food is variable, sometimes very good (especially when it first opened), sometimes average. The service when busy (for waitress/waiter food service) can be poor e.g. sweet menu was mentioned, but no one came back.
K. B.
We used to visit when we lived out in Henleaze. LOTS of space, great garden and play area for kids. Only real downside is the food. When we visited in late 2017 it was pretty basic - not great, and not particularly healthy either. But we'd still visit as the amenities are great.
J. T.
The East field Inn is a great place to go good food, staff are always welcoming with a smile on their faces, they have a great garden to enjoy your drink and food in with a child's play area, a pond and some other exciting features to keep you children entertained while you have 5 mins to relax.
K. s.
lovely specials great pub
J. S.
Great family pub. Very nice garden with animals and playground for the kids. Food is great quality and the drink selection is wide with some decent guest ales.
E. H.
A light and airy conservatory to the side that can be booked for private functions. As well, there is a room in the back that has a small soft play area for the little ones. The children’s toys are poorly maintained however.
S. C.
Diabolical food. Packet noodles hard and one strip of beef in a big plate of beef noodles, sauce so sweet it was too sickly! My partner had a tiny piece of the fattiest gammon ham they could muster, overcooked dried up frozen chips and one egg, no peas or pineapple. I assume a microwave technician cooked this, not a chef. Nice pub for drinking though so it's a shame. Not surprised only two tables were dining on a friday night!
M. H.
Big old pub with a massive garden, animals, kiddies slides, skittle alley/family room. Good food and drinks range. If you have kids( or parents) it's worth the trip.
S. M.
4.5 really, it's not amazing, but pretty decent. As a late middle age white guy I fitted in nicely
C. M.
A great family pub. Like the Old Spot on Kellaway, this pub has been revitalised to cater for the NCT mums groups. A lovely welcoming feel, excellent food, good beer and loads of toys for the wee ones...
L. A.
Food was excellent however the service and wait times were abysmal. I do appreciate that the staff were extremely busy at the time but even afterwards, when my family and I were the only guests, we had to wait for almost half an hour for a coffee and a cup of hot chocolate. 5 star food but 1 star service.
L. C.
Lovely family pub with a beautiful garden and friendly staff.
T. D.
A very pleasant and a child friendly pub, with an inside play area and an outside playground. Really great for families with kids getting together, highly recommended.
K. B.

Lovely pub, great for families, children, dogs. Great atmosphere, good food, it is on the slightly more expensive side for taking a whole family out regularly.
K. R.
Not 5 stars as I can't say "I love it", but it's got loads of pros! Play space for the kids, lovely food. Very family friendly.
S. G.
Great little pub, food was good fair prices and not too crowded at lunch time.
The garden is spectacular and huge!
U. 7.
Best pub I know to take the kids too, have a pint and not worry about them getting bored. Huge outdoor play area unwittingly staffed by Helicopter-parents
K. D.
Excellent service and the food was great
A. L.
I visited here with a friend (for a meal in the evening) and there is plenty of parking in the front and plenty of seating all over inside with a separate function room for private events, meetings or functions that the pub have during the day
The gardens are larger than I thought and being in a very heavy residential area do ask people not to sit outside after a certain time in the garden
The food was hot and served promptly and a change done without any fuss
I will be back and I do go past this place on a regular basis but it was good to actually call in and see it on the inside
E. F.

Was OK the burger was not the best I had and had the apple berry and crumble well that's a joke as the crumble was oates on top sprinkled over no crumble substance to it at all the custard came in a small pot that u get ur milk in for one coffee no where near with the £5.50that it was there was 11 of us we spent £200plus meal wise... We asked for more custard but never got it eaither...
