Top quality food - especially the cheesecake! Pleasant venue with outdoor seating too. Small car park on site. Wasn’t sure about the veggie roast option which was a vague lump of vegetable stuffing? Tasted nice but would prefer a lentil or nut roast perhaps. I think it was same price as meat options which felt a bit expensive. Staff weren’t quite sure what was in it either. We enjoyed our meals though.

Lovely pub, and always a great atmosphere. Maybe a little more for a pint than some other local pubs but worth it. It does quite get busy on a Sunday, as does the car park!! We’ve also eaten here before and that was really good too!! Would definitely recommend

We are regulars at the Hollybush but tonight’s meal was above and beyond! The festive menu was amazing-the turkey burger,bubble n squeak croquettes and pork belly was absolutely amazing. Plus a great selection of gins which we love. We’re always greeted with open arms and they are great with our 4 year old son. The food,staff and atmosphere are 5 star plus! Highly recommend!

Great cask ales and ciders on tap. Had katsu chicken burger for Saturday lunch and it was great! Fresh, tasty, fries were amazing. Would definitely eat here again. Outside area is nice but being close to the road a little noisy. Don't mind as it's just of the cycle track so easy to pop in for a quick drink on the way to bath.

Impeccable service, was recommended this pub by the Rose and Crown as they were fully booked. Was lucky to be able to get a table last min without booking as I had issues. We had Ham egg and chips which were lovely, more than I expected and I had ordered the side of mac & cheese which is the best I've ever tasted!! Onion rings hubby ordered were however dripping with oil and he couldn't eat. Fab atmosphere and lovely decorated in a rustic style. Excellent value for money if not more! I recommend this pub to anyone but would advise on booking.

Have visited a few times - mostly for Sunday lunch. They are certainly getting it right at the pub - great food, great service (loads of staff) and really nice rooms / tables. You won't be disappointed if you go there for lunch - a lovely family friendly pub.

We were out for a cycle ride and we dropped in to the Hollybush for a quick lunch and a beer. The staff were helpful and polite and found us a table, even though It was quite a busy Friday. We were served quickly, a good selection of beers and the food was delicious. I had Steak and Ale pie and my wife had the Onion Bhaji burger and said it was excellent. We will definitely go back for a longer session next time.

I was stranded for about 3 hours when I had my car serviced, and was desperate for somewhere to pass the time. I was so lucky to chance across the Hollybush. It's a warm and welcoming pub, recently refurbished too. It's also got a very decent restaurant and I actually spent a very pleasant time here and had a great steak, and a super dessert and good quality coffee. I was a very happy boy to have found it! ☺️

Went here this evening for a little family catch up tea and the food and service was lovely. Staff were very friendly as we walked in and asked for a table. The bar staff were great helping is pick our drinks - we wanted Gin. And the food was rather enjoyable. Only issue was the items served slighty differed from what we read on the menu. As i ordered the buttermilk fried chicken burger but was just grilled chicken in a seasoning in the burger And no mash was served with the pie. We didn't question it as we were chatting away and enjoying the food and was more of than after thought once we got out the pub. But had a lovely time overall.

Fantastic selection of beers, also 6 of us stocked up, no booking. Found us a table and the service was impeccable. The food was fantastic. Had the Chicken tikka burger with onion bhajee, WOW. Was an absolute pleasure to eat and drink here. Well done Hollybush, keep up the good work.

Cracking lunch. Had the "small plate" but was full afterwards. The fish and chips were really lovely, the batter was light and crispy and there were no soggy bits. The ham, egg and chips were lush. The chips are next level. Super crispy outside soft and fluffy inside. Good runny yolk on the egg. And a bargain to boot.

The best roast I’ve ever had 😍😍 Hats off to the chefs, the meat was perfect. No fat at all. The vegetables and potatoes were cooked to perfection and a generous helping of gravy! It was also presented beautifully, very gourmet. The garlic bread was also amazing, on a lovely ciabatta. Everything was well priced for the quality of food and the portion size, even kids was huge! The service was good, our waitresses were very nice and attentive. The food also came very quickly. The brownie and ice cream was delicious aswell, big portion we had to share!

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time and a very good portion. Staff were excellent and on the ball working in a very hot environment during this heatwave. I shall be returning soon to try more dishes and will try and leave room for one of their delicious desserts.

Had a great pint, very high quality social distancing. It's all online ordering but if you are unable to do so you can order via one of the lovely staff. High grade food, great drinks and bar snacks. A little busy at peak times and make sure to check on their website when they are open. The Sunday roast is to die for.

Food was really nice and service really quick and friendly as always. The Covid measures weren't as obvious as other places we've recently been to. No staff were wearing masks (I appreciate it was reaaally hot) and when we arrived it was very busy (although it seemed that table bookings had been staggered and this calmed down after about 30 minutes). There were signs saying that ordering food was all through the website but our order was taken at the table and there wasn't a lot of social distancing. It was so nice to feel a bit normal but I personally would have felt more at ease if they explained what measures they were taking. Bloody massive bit of cheesecake mind.

Sunday roast here was lovely. It’s really nice inside, with a resident bearded dragon, which kids love! Really nice home cooked food, with the biggest Yorkshire puddings ever! Really generous portion sizes too, you don’t go hungry!

A friend and I went to the Holybush for Sunday lunch last weekend and I have to say that the food was beautiful. I was a chef myself and am a bit critical of most places but the whole experience was lovely. I strongly disagree with the comment of the reviewer Mr Dunn! just because you personally don't like the decor that doesn't the term 'The urinal look'!! It is clean fresh and inviting. I can only assume i had better company than you as i barely noticed it!

We've had splendid meals here, but yesterday was a disappointment. Despite being half empty it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. (We heard the chef from the open kitchen say after a while, "Nothing's been done on this ticket!" then mention our order.) No one spoke to us during this long wait. When the food arrived, elements were missing, but no one came back to ask if our food was OK. We saw staff chatting to each other, but couldn't get their attention. The ribs were very poor, more tendon than bone, a gelatinous horror left after struggling to pick off the meat, making for a very unpleasant eat. All the staff, when they did speak to us, were very friendly and polite. We mentioned the issues and were offered free desserts, but it was already so late after the wait we had to get our 2yo home to bed. It was a shame, as we've always enjoyed the Hollybush before.

Our family visit to The Hollybush was outstanding from start to finish! The service is like a well-oiled machine... The kitchen, waitresses & bar staff worked together efficiently to ensure our meal was a pleasant experience. The decor was as welcoming as the staff & washroom facilities were pristine. The menu incorporates the comforts of 'pub grub' yet offers diversity with more adventurous dishes, something for everyone! Portion sizes are generous, which was especially good when it came to my sticky toffee pudding. I would highly recommend this pub for those in search of Bristol's best roast!

The Sunday roasts are DELICIOUS, always fresh and tasty with all the trimmings. I would recommend getting the cauliflour cheese and mashed swede on the side! I have never had a bad meal here and the staff are always so friendly & helpful. Good atmosphere, great staff, food pricing perhaps a little on the expensive side. I choose the chef's healthy option, jambalaya which was a little underwhelming and served in a preserve jar which was difficult to eat from. As a personal preference one of the party would always prefere a burger served on a plate as opposed to a cutting board. All in all a good night and would visit again.
