Staff was great, great working spirit Cocktails was alryte not bad for value. Spirits good value for money too. I always think spoons should have music but thats my opinion I'd give 5 stars if I could hear music even it was at a low level.

Very impressive! Had a quadruple burger meal and it was quite honestly the best food I've ever eaten, the first bite captured in this photo was pure Euphoria! Although as you can see from the second photo I'm paying for the sheer amount of food!

Went in for a drink the other night after popping in to the blue bowl first to find that they had no one in at half 9 in The evening and was told they were closing up. Were still about half a dozen people in there until close which for a Monday isn't bad. Drinks are always well kept and it has the normal spoons selections, I have noticed that they do have different draft though depending on where In the country you are. Had a apple and pear cider which was lush. Clean, with easy access, friendly staff. And cheaper beer then else where. Would love to know how spoons can do beer at half the price of others and still be making profits. Love it will be back not first visit and it won't be my last.

It's a Wetherspoons so you know what you are getting. However, some are better run than others and unfortunately The Jolly Sailor does not fall on the good side of the fence. The staff are perfectly pleasant but it only just functions as a pub. There are always delays and problems with ordering food and, if upstairs, then drinks can take 5 minutes to arrive. Compared to The Kingswood Colliers nearby, you would never guess they were part of the same chain.

I do love this place, as Wetherspoons go this is great! I could look at the wall art for weeks, the staff are helpful, they have a veggie and vegan menu (an entire menu!!!) They keep the ale really well and of course it's cheap as chips. Zero complaints!!

Nice open venue with a historical theme. We ordered on the app which was convenient and easy to use. Good selection of drinks - try the Raspberry Lemonade! It's delicious! Wether spoons is a budget restaurant but I found the food here disappointing. Badly presented and undercooked. Our local Bodmin Spoons is consistently good and much better than the Jolly Sailor so I was expecting better things.

If you read my other reviews, you will notice I'm a fan of Wetherspoons establishments and have always given good reviews. However on my visits to this particular one, it has left me disappointed. On the first occasion I had forgotten my phone so couldn't use the app and was told to use the green/red card system, this seemed a good idea but was flawed by the fact the staff walked past and didn't take our order for a good 30min. I know, we are in funny times, but the staff kept allowing people in and couldn't cope with the app orders and the card system. On the second occasion I remembered my phone, check in was easy and was told to make our way upstairs, upon picking table 99, I found a wallet that contained cards and cash and promptly found a member of staff to hand it too. There was no thanks for doing so, I know it wasn't her wallet, but there was nothing in response. When we received our food, we were informed there was no forks available, but two would be brought over.........they weren't, so sticky fingers whilst we ate! Have had miles better and expected better, not much to ask tbf.

That was my pub when living in the area. As a Wetherspoon you will fine what in other pubs on the franchise. The atmosphere is nice, staff is good enough (you will find ofen new faces) and decoration is classic but nice (pictures about important bristolian people or symbols holding all around). Good and affordable WS food. Lovely and very affordable assortment of ales.

This is a nice Wetherspoons. I generally like Wetherspoons pubs but some are nicer than others. In Bristol I like this one and the one in Fishponds, the Van Dyke Forum. I like the Fishponds one best but come here regularly as well. Staff are nice and efficient. Food is very good. Excellent fish of a good size in their fish and chips. The decor is traditional and subdued and a bit comforting, which I'm sure is the intention. Upstairs is pleasant too and having a second floor means there is usually a quieter option if it's busy. Highly recommended. Coldwater Creek wine which is on tap is vegan (white, rose or red), in case that's important to you. The steaks are excellent too.

As we all know, from my past reviews at other Wetherspoons. I visit most of these establishments with my old mucker, the man that has blackthorne running through his veins, and dye running through his hair, Shaunie bumford!!! I must say, it is a very nice pub!!!
