Dog friendly pub. Great staff, a lovely fire, and a real local pub that's quiet early on and has great music from 9ish onwards. Nice garden at the back that gets sun in the early evening and a couple of outside tables at the front.

Friendly in a really genuine and not just in a generic customer service way. Nights with music are fun and not too overpowering if you are there for a pint and a catchup. Nice outside space but best to wrap up warm in colder months. Food is is delicious but small and simple. Also food is best ordered an hour before you're going to be hungry. Good board game selection although you will need to improvise to get all the pieces needed to play. Honest and charming pub.

great spot for food, however the beer selection is mediocre at best, i highly recomend getting some hoppy, fruity, high quality IPA's like something from Left Handed Giant or North Brewing....6.5-7% ABV the citra IPA i tried last night is a sad excuse for an IPA not one sour beer on the menu if i recall correctly aswell.

Spent last evening here before the lockdown 2.0 with lovely live music. The pub was very cosy. The only downside was the fish burger which was way too salty, I probably took enough salt for a week in one go... Will be back again for some good music and nice vibe once the lockdown is lifted

Enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast at this pub today.. laid back ambience with friendly efficient service, great slow roast belly pork with crackly crackling and all the trimmings, good beer, relaxed... excellent.

Very surprised to see a lack of reviews about Sunday roasts. We've recently moved from Bedminster to Cotham and tried their roast today on a whim. Having eaten the 'top rated' Sunday roasts on North Street, these guys knock them clean out of the park. Pork belly - delicious. Beef incredibly tender. A true hidden gem! We'll definitely be back.

UP and coming. New owners brightened up the inside and moved the bar to its roginal location. Free live music which has been great when I'be been there and some nice beers on. Roaring fire on everyday at the moment. Wish I could go in every night.

Proper little old boozer, known to have decent live music. But as with most places in Bristol, the glassware could be cleaner, the bathroom is a sad state and the whole place is just a bit tired.
