Very good service, staff were very helpful cleaning / sanitising table when asked as was a busy Saturday evening. Mixed grills were cooked hot and lovely except one. This was quickly addressed by the manager and rectified with a fresh hot replacement. Overall would highly recommend and great value for money.

Came here (on a Sunday)without booking The staff here was accommodating polite and said the kitchen was over run with orders for 30 mins which was fine as we got ourselves a drink 1st. The bar staff were pleasant and quite chatty. The food was nice king scampy and chips x2 in which the wording should change to just scampy cause it was a bit deceiving as I thought they would be bigger, but plentyfull it was a nice dish. Would of liked more peas! We would come back again as the menu looked great I like to try there big curry next. Everything was reasonably priced.

Went here with family for a meal and can't fault the place, the staff were all friendly and professional. The food was outstanding and enjoyed by all. Service was quick and great value for money. Kelly made us feel welcome and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. They were even able to keep my fussy 7yr old happy. Would definitely recommend the lodekka whether it be a family meal, a meal for 2 or even just a drink.

My usual for early breakfasts. The only negative comment is that I've found the quality of their main meal options, such as the burgers to not be as good, also their deserts. We once had stale cookies in a sundae! But others like their fish n chips and steaks are great! But don't let this one comment subtract from going! Their breakfasts are fantastic, the staff are always friendly and upbeat. They work incredibly hard to deliver outstanding customer service. Going out for a drink here can be really relaxing, or a banging night if you catch a band! Place is always clean and kept to a high standard, and the staff are always well presented. Some change to the dinner menu and extra care taken would go a long way, but I still give it 5 stars despite this all due to the staff.

Decent value for money especially with the food deals. Always seems quite busy so must be doing something right. Don’t expect a la crate but food is usually spot on. They also have some really friendly staff especially the ladies waitressing.

I've been coming to this place for months now and never got around to reviewing it. The food is where I'd like to start, delicious every single time! The chicken breasts are succulent and tasty, the veg is lush, roast potatoes are crispy and fluffy, mashed potato is creamy and soft, if you pay an extra £2 you get extra yourshire puddings which are light and delicious, this makes the roast dinners one of the best in bristol I reckon! I had to ask for extra gravy this time but they were only too happy to give me 2 pots free of charge. Next is the staff, always very friendly and welcoming even when they're clearly very busy, always polite and very happy to make sure you have a nice time. Prices, very reasonable considering how expensive everything is right now. They have specials every day of the week and on Thursdays you get a free starter or pudding with selected meals. Sport is shown in the bar area whenever there's a game on, with sound and a projector. Parking is plenty, and they have a bike rack out the back too. This place is massive, they have lots of tables and only once have I not been able to get a table. They have many more tables in the rear garden which also have a play area for kids including a slide and fort. My son loves it here! Big shout out to Jack who tends the bar, really nice kid who always remembers my drink and makes a real effort to make you feel at home! You have to try this place, if you're a big group, book a table and they'll be prepared to give you a great time!

Visited today having not been for a few years. Well worthwhile booking in advance as they are quite busy. Food was delivered promptly and staff were super friendly. Had a few issues with the food but they were dealt with immediately and without making us feel uncomfortable asking for a resolution. Absolutely brilliant time and will be back.

Visited the lodekka for an early evening catch up with friends. The food was hot, good sized portions and value for money, would definitely recommend. Staff were very polite and helpful , especially the young lady Amy who served us, she was very polite and friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. Definitely an asset on a busy weekend.

Lodekka is nice considering it's a hungry horse. Barman was very professional and very on it getting rid of nuance customers. Food was absolutely lovely although I think the chef could have done better without the restrictions of the hungry horse menu.

I've not stopped here before although always see that its busy when i ride past, so was only to happy to try it out for a change recently on a Wednesday. I had a curry & a pint for £6.50, I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. The portion size was very large and the Chicken Jalfrezi or Jalcrazy, was excellent. The spice was just right and was served along with a generous portion of rice, chips, naan bread & poppadum's with mango chutneys. Service was spot on as well, by both Deb & Jamie - thanks guys, it was worth it👍 Highly recommend you all try this place out, it exceeded my expectations.

My Husband and I come here often for food, along with friends and we always have a good experience here. We have visited many different times and days of the week. Some days it can be quite busy other times is can be heaving and there is a wait at the bar and for your food to arrive. Food is always hot when it arrives and on the rare occasion there is a problem with the food, they are quick to rectify it. They do a different deal for each day of the week, so take a look at the menu before ordering to get the best deal available for the day. Its clean and tidy, and there is a large outdoor area with play area. Good place for families

To start with I have been wanting to visit since the pub was first opened but never had the chance until now. I was really looking forward to trying this place as always enjoyed other hungry horse pubs. A I was entering I had to walk past a group of people smoking at the entrance wich some places actually have designated areas for that wich would have made it better as it's a small area by the door and had to walk through the group. As we entered we was met at the door by a member of staff who checked are booking and took us to the table she seemed nice but could improve on the greeting. As we was lead threw the pub I liked the lay out of the place it was warm and inviting. We was taken to table 1 and having the time to notice things the end of the seat was falling apart and the menus had seen better days and was sticky. We ordered are food which arived quickly and was really nice I really enjoyed the food and would recommend it. Whilst we was there the pub was not to buisy all the time we was there. There is a 2 hours limit on the tables but being not to buisy I don't feel they would push that altho we had staters mains and desserts and went as a normal pace not rushing or taking are time and ran over the 2 hours by 15 minutes so if they do push the 2 hours limit you might want to keep eye on time and go at a pace to stay within the limit. I did enjoy my visit the food was great and will be returning. I hope to se some repairs done to keep the place looking nice and welcoming

Great pub. They do really good deals every day. We came in for the curry deal this Wednesday, I had the tikka my husband had the rogan Josh. Both were delicious. I like that you can now come in and play board games too- great touch and a lot of fun, if you’re a good loser 😂

Food has definitely improved since I last been, was huge portions and cooked lovely. Polite staff although it is a bit off putting having staff ask 4 or 5 times during a meal if everything is OK, I'm sure we would have mentioned the first or 2nd time asked if there was an issue! My family, friends and I took a last minute trip to the Lodekka as our first restaurant had to cancel our booking. On arrival we explained the issue at hand and the staff were more than welcome to help and accommodate for a walk-in. Not only were the staff on hand to help us at all time but they were professional and extremely helpful. On every occasion we came across any staff member they were friendly and helpful. Most importantly there was a young man, Jamie F, who was very on hand to help, he was very kind and helpful with a great attitude. The food we had ordered was a very reasonable price against proposition and would definitely recommend others to go here. The service was fairly quick which was really amazing.

Easy to book on the app. Very helpful and polite staff at the bar and around the restaurant. The only let down was the 'roast' chicken. It most definitely was not roasted, it had not seen the inside of an oven. More than likely it had been cooked in a microwave and it showed in the texture which was very soft to put it politely. It's a Hungry House pub, so you pretty much know what to expect. It's not going to be top of the line, and the menu is going to be good value with lots of meal deals. As it happens, I would rate this place higher than most. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food and drinks were served quickly. There wasn't a lot of mess waiting to be cleaned up, and the place was pretty smart inside. The kids play area was nicely equipped and in good condition, and the outdoor tables were in good shape too. Overall this is not exactly on my normal route, but I'd be happy to stop in there again with the kids anytime.

First time back here since lock down. What to say....food was okay, pretty quick turn around. The not so good was it just felt grubby glass not cleaned, knife and forks dirty, TV wooden surround falling down, table & TV just kind of greasy & dirty. Felt like it's over due a proper clean down and this would put us off returning. Bearing mind this is a 'family friendly' pub the language of both the patrons and some of the staff was really awful, luckily our children are older now if I had young toddlers I would not have been impressed.

Ok let's get serious. . . My last review for loddeka wasn't good. . But since pandemic the team there have upped their game. My partner and I visited them on Saturday 26th July at 6.45. Table 6. It was like a well oiled machine, every staff member that day went above and beyond. So friendly and help full. And God dam they were the quick with the drinks. . Sooo good I choose to time them . . So I ordered through their app and from when I tapped confirm. . . This is how long it took from confirmation tap to drink on table. . . .2 minutes and 21 seconds. . . They put Barry Allen to shame. I booked online and I have never been here before . I received mixed reviews so decided to visit for my mums birthday . Staff were exceptional very helpful all friendly and welcoming . There were 9 of us including kids . The kids loved the outdoor play area. The food was lovely fresh and hot . We had 1 meal with a issue which was dealt with straight away without any fuss and they were apologetic . Food was so tasty kids enjoyed their food portion sizes were good too. The staff came over to check everything was fine which I like that as if there are any probs it gives the chance to rectify there and then . Desserts were really good too. Nice pub with a fairly decent menu and fairly priced, only downside is the fact that amber of staff now has to carry your drink as you're not allowed to carry your own drink due to covid... I have no idea how that makes any sense at all? I'm allowed to sit out in the play area with the children but you're not allowed to carry your own drink to the play area, then when you want to come in... you then have to get a member of staff again to carry your drink back inside? What if you don't want multiple staff members carrying your drink?... would it not make sense to carry your own? Is that not then transferring between multiple hands? Small issue but it was one that irritated me non the less. Might just mean NOT going back until covid restrictions are lifted or rules that actually make sense. I was told it was "government guide lines" but she couldn't actually explain why. Baffles me... Anyway...food was nice, service was to be desired.

Lovely food and staff. When I went we had to use an app to order our food from, which was kind of pain as we couldn't get on to WiFi. The food was also very quick to arrive, under 20 minutes which for a busy pud on a Sunday at lunch time was pretty impressive. I had the 5oz gammon steak which was absolutely amazing! Also the puddings were top of the class, the candy mania is definitely one to try for any chocolate lovers out there. For my first time at the lodekka, a very positive experience.

Nice place and nice service. However, floor and tables was sticky and my steak I ordered was really chewy with lots of fat and gristle within the steak. I did have my whole plate exchanged, which I was very happy about. However, the next steak I had in replacement was still quite chewy but seeing as they refreshed my whole plate I didn't say anything out of respect. The food my kids had was excellent and I will be ordering those if I was to go again. Would like to see more men serving and not just women with tight clothing on though where there's nothing left to the imagination, as all places has got nowadays. Not many steak meals on offer apart from the normal steak and chips and not a mix grill with steak, which was a shame. More of a pub than a pub restaurant I would say, which I thought was going to be like hungry horse restaurant's used to be. Sounds bad but worth a try and see, as I would go again for the Tuesday's big meal deal, which is chicken new yorker. Mmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Great place for a family meal. Just some crazy policy's that can restrict your enjoyment for a family pub experience. Such as they don't give out plastics straws for your childrens drinks. (There are bio-degradable alternatives that they should provide) And they don't give out children size glasses (any excuse to make money out of us) As a whole there food is good value for money and reasonably substantial.

This place has been open for a couple of years now and at the start I only ever heard of good things about the staff and food. But as before I would have given 5 out of 5 now I am struggling to give a 3 the food is hugely lacking. It was nice and you can't complain about the prices but this review is in comparison to a year or two ago. As the food use to look allot better. For large families like mine it maybe best to book at peak times. The staff seem ok one didn't stop telling us how she had been pulled in on here day off to work and that was her excuse for every mistake she made. And there were many she really wasn't happy about coming in on her day off. Makes me wonder do they hold a gun to your head to make there staff work there? (A plastic one of course)

Cheap prices. Friendly staff. However on one particular visit on a Friday night, they had no lemonade (Ruling out quite a few different drinks) and no Coca Cola as well as a lack of wine. On a Friday night I would have thought they would have been well stocked. Food is ok.

Everytime we have attended the lodekka in Brislington it has been outstanding service, every member of the team has been polite and gave outstanding table service, the food has never disappointed and we thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere. We again attended tonight for my son's 16th birthday and Nathan who was working behind the bar at the time was so happy and cheerful and was actually quite funny which sat well with my daughter. All round amazing place to eat

Wasn't sure what to expect but it's great! Such reasonably priced grub. We had a huge portion of food, all of it was delicious. Nice and big inside, so you don't feel cramped; room to sit away from other noisier people! Staff are very friendly and approachable. Looking forward to my next visit already!

Went here in way home after trip to Bristol and was very impressed with this place with a baby and a toddler. We found a free table easily, high chairs, the food came quickly and was actually really tasty. Really enjoyed the food. Would def stop again. The only thing that puts us off is the initial impression you get from the road/car park that it will be full of drunks watching footy. It's out us off in the past, but we tempted it this time, it was only about 5pm afterall and it did feel like that part of it was a bit more separate to the family restaurant side. Still wouldn't go in later with children though.

Used to be a nice place for families and dinners for two. But in the last couple of years food quality became hit and miss, and staff is always running around and looking overworked. It is still quite popular and could be very busy, as there is nothing else around. The food choice is quite conventional for a Hungry Horse place, with few special days in the week, but nothing beyond typical "Wetherspoons" experience.

Ordered a vegetarian meal, got meat gravy. :( If something has a V next to it on a menu, you shouldn't have to specify you don't want meat gravy. It's kind of obvious. Garden is nice though. A family friendly pub. Yummy cheese pie (second visit but with vegetable gravy) and ample seating room. Friendly staff.

It's a Hungry Horse - you'll know what you're getting as it's a chain, so expect good kit form pub food comparable with Whetherspoons. The food is freshly cooked and cooked quickly, so a family will not have to wait long for their grub, which is also very generous in portion. The drinks menu is comprehensive, but this is not a real ale pub, so don't expect good ales on draught, though a limited bottled selection is available. My family and I (2 adults, two kids aged 9 & 12) greatly enjoy the changing food deals, generous portions and great quality, which make this our favourite eating out spot.

My gran always used to say, "Have you seen my glasses?" She also used to say, "You get what you pay for." The food is cheap but the experience, though cheery enough, has a hint of motorway services cafeteria about it. Service is quick, which makes it a good place to go on your lunch hour, but you'll need transport because it's a bit out on its own. The internal layout reminds me of the map from The Crystal Maze, only there's no dome in the middle-not that I've found anyway. Menu selection is pub grubby and the food is not bad. Yes, you can do better for a few quid extra elsewhere, but then they'd probably screw you over on the drinks. My advice? REMEMBER YOUR TABLE NUMBER, they ask for it at the bar when you order.

Very very nice no waiting for your food.you order the food 2mins later ya got it. And I ordered steak & pie it filled half the plate and I got a thing about no filling but to my amazement it was full of steak more steak and gravy fantastic grub if you don't believe then try yourself

Very friendly staff and polite. Food is hot and tastey, just a shame we had to move with our small kids to a table where the chavs next to us didn't swear every other word. The place is big enough so no problem getting away from potty mouths
