We popped in for a meal on Saturday, we were greeted by the girl on the bar, Cliona. She very friendly and chatty. She was great with the kids and even gave them a bit of change for the toy machines which we really appreciated, it was lovely to have a member of your staff going the extra mile for us, she really made us feel valued and the experience was overall really good. The only slight niggle was the lack of loo roll in the ladies toilets but that was sorted really quickly for me. We would definitely return here again as a family. Thank you.

Popped in for a quick drink after shopping and the place was fairly quiet yet it took over 5 minutes to even be acknowledged by any of the 3 staff working. Having worked in pubs myself, acknowledgment of an arriving customer is an important detail. Not overly impressed.

Had a children’s party here. Great service for the party and little party bags given out. Softplay is good for kids. not sure of the adults food menu. Only gets 4 stars because the sharer platter had scampi which I am allergic too with no warning as we were at a party we didn’t see what was in it from a menu. Luckily I look out for this stuff.

Wonderful experience at the Millhouse recently, we had our sons 4th birthday party here, all the staff were wonderful, Helen who hosted my sons party was great with the kids, and the staff on the bar were also lovely. The food was tasty, served hot and great value for money. Highly reccomend this local family pub and soft play for a nice family day out.

I am a great fan of Green King (hungry horse) and have always considered there food and drink value for money. However, I am not sure if the kitchen staff have changed but our last visit really disappointed me. My steak & ale pie was dry and tastless and my wife's scampi tasted like rubber. I am happy to say that the staff were there usual happy selfs.

A lovely local pub, friendly staff and good selection of food and drinks. It is good for all the family and has a Wacky Warehouse for the kids to enjoy - great fun! The selection of alcoholic beverages are good and a decent selection of gins that some other local pubs don’t stock. It has a 18s only area and the food is of a high quality and tasty. I would recommend going to The Mill House for a quiet drink during the week or a nice meal with family and friends. On an evening it can get more lively but it just adds to the great atmosphere. The Mill House is always clean and the toilets are in a good condition.

The Mill House is great. Spacious and airy. The menu is not as broad as it used to be but what they do, they do very well. The staff are really good, kind and attentive. I tried a new pale ale that they now have and it is very nice. It is our go to place for a lovely meal and for relaxation. See you all soon.

Food was lovely, service a little slow at the bar because there was only 1 person working. The person behind the bar didn't seem to recognise that my party has walking issues (sunflower lanyard was worn) and didn't even offer to take our drinks to the table but instead moved to the next customer but luckily one from my party was able enough to do that. Did accommodate to my allergies by providing the allergy book but they weren't stated on the menu and the iPad was out of battery. Overall staff were good at there jobs, good that they have an adults only bit and have a gluten free menu.

Popped in for some lunch time food. Ordered everything was fine food came and one of the meals was the signature fish and chip. It states on the menu that it comes with curry sauce which it didn't and the bread was so stale that it was already broken when it arrived and was so crisp you couldn't spread it. It was not busy so you have to question why you would send out stale bread... I am unsure if we would go back again as it was such a basic thing. Complete lack of care and attention.

I have been to the Mill House a couple of times whilst visiting friends in the area. The food is traditional pub grub and the service is good. One barmaid in particular stands out and that is Cliona who is particularly friendly. If there is one minor issue, it is that the toilets are in need of updating as they look quite tired and dated. However, all in all a nice community pub and restaurant in a nice urban village setting.

Came to the Mill House for my Parents joint Birthday. We pre-booked and pre-ordered as there was 16 of us. We had a nice area to ourselves. The meals came out very quickly and were nice and hot and very filling. We were all completely full after, so didn't get chance to taste the desserts on offer. Good value for the money. Went in at 12.30 to watch the football was a very good atmosphere. There are about 10 tv, u can sit down any were & still watch the game's. We had food & drinks. Good value for money & the staff are very welcoming. They don't let the plates stay on the tables for 15 minutes after u finished your meals The plates get taken as soon as the last person has finished your meals. Very good service.

Not been in this pub for a few years now and pleased to say that it has improved massively. The lady behind the bar was very nice and polite ( not put politeness) and the waitress was friendly and helpful too. Nice for a quick Saturday afternoon pint and nibble.

We celebrated my father in law's birthday here with a meal in the restaurant and then our children went into the Wacky Warehouse soft play area. The food was lovely and the staff were all amazingly friendly, attentive and polite. By far my best experience of any chain restaurant.

Food was good. Ordered and paid using the app. Lost stars due to poor hygiene standards that we saw after we'd eaten. Customers next to us finished and left. Staff member cleaned the table with a ragged looking cloth and something from a spray bottle. Standard cleaning in 'normal circumstance' but no attempt to wipe down the sides or underside of the table, no attempt at wiping the chairs but content to put an 'I am clean' poster on the table.

Just returned home after an excellent lunch with friends. I can't remember when we've enjoyed such a lovely meal in a pub! It might not be ultra modern & some fixture & fittings have seen better days but it's salt of the earth & traditionally honest excellently cooked food! All five of us fully contented & not a single moan!! Sure to return.

This was my first visit to the Mill House and was entertained by a great band. The food and drinks was lovely at a fare price, and the atmosphere was friendly. There is parking at the rear with two disabled bays, suitable for wheel chair users. I will definitely visit again. S-)

I eat here regularly with my father (84). The food is good, inexpensive and with a good choice. Just paid £15 for two main courses and drinks. The staff are always polite and cheerful with meals served promptly. Sunday evening the place was rammed, United v Liverpool on the television but standards still maintain.

Pretty regular underwhelming chain pub. Very limited beer and spirit selection (with a number of the more interesting unavailable) beyond Carling, Stella, San Miguel, Peroni or Amstel. Food is a reasonable price with deals on pub classics. Building is pleasant with some nice features. Music isn't too loud or tv screens overpowering.

It is a Greene King pub so set your expectations accordingly; however with that in mind it's still miles higher in every regard than any Wetherspoons or Harvester. Quite spacious and good facilities despite being tacked onto a retail park, which is no mean feat.

Staff were friendly and the place is pleasant enough, but there's something missing to make it cosy and unique - feels too much like a chain pub with a standardised menu. The pricing of dishes changes on whether you're an odd or even number of people, which is a little odd and confusing to be honest, but lends itself towards larger groups to take advantage of the deal.

We recently used the Millhouse for our 4 childrens christening reception. They sectioned off an area for us and the table layout and decoration was outstanding. The cake table was well placed with drinks on arrival. The staff assisted us with organising drinks for guests and the food was fabulous and brought in good time. The children used the Wacky warehouse and everyone at the event had a great time. The staff were warm and welcoming and the manageress went above and beyond to help us make a special day even more special. It was excellent value for money and i would no hesitation in recommending this venue for an event such as ours. I have returned since for childrens parties and had just as much fun :)
