Reviews of The Prince Of Wales
Great menu and fantastic service and guess what Dog Friendly too!
Our server Ali was very helpful, the burger tasted homemade, the chips were crispy just how l like them.
It’s a lovely area to visit with the Ring of stones and the views. Great selection of Ciders and Beers although sadly one of us has to drive. Second visit just as good and Ali remembered us and pulled out all the stops, this time chicken and Leek Pie and l had Rogan Chicken Curry both very tasty. I need to return for the Fish and chips they looked awesome 🌟
Our most favourite restaurant in Somerset even if we have to drive over 40 minutes to get there!
The staff are fantastic and definitely know how to look after you x The food is always amazing.... and if you are lucky with the weather then you've hit a bullseye :)
We came to the area for a family walk and we had great time. After couple of hours in a glorious weather it was so nice to sit down and have some food. However "some " is massive understatement. Menu was really attractive and I found it quite difficult to pick just one meal, but finally I went for fish and chips.... WOW!!! That was amazing! I absolutely loved it! There is a natural playpark nearby and the pub is very dog friendly. I can only say, great place and thank you for your hard work ⭐
Really nice pub with a view. Ate inside as there were more flying creatures around than we'd like whilst eating then sat outside for a drink. Food was delicious, service a little slow but it was busy and we were in no rush.
Had a late breakfast here. Food was very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Fantastic view even though it was very cloudy.
Great venue. They could clean tables and clear plates a bit quicker, we sat at a table with tomato sauce in it and it stayed there. But I can't fault anything else.
Had a lovely pint of thatchers haze after an evening walk through the woods for about 2 miles, nice place to relax and chill.
Just added some more pictures, from recent and early morning walks, scenery in the early morning can be really stunning. 😊
Wow! What a gorgeous place! Fantastic setting, great prices food and drink and welcome and friendly members of staff! We had the water buffalo burger and I can honestly say I have never had such a tasty burger. Cooked perfectly and washed down with a pint of cider! Perfect after a walk around Ham Hill Country Park. Highly recommend!!
Lovely pub. Good old fashioned and cozy drinking a pint in front of the fire.
Friendly staff
Firstly the positives......
The views are spectacular, grab a drink and sit on one of the benches outside and enjoy.
The fish pie that 3 out of 4 of us had was excellent and great value.
We were able to swap salad for veg on two of the meals without any issues.
The food was served up very quickly, and hot.
The staff were very attentive and polite.
Now the not so positives.....
We were sat in area which was almost like a conservatory, but without the views and no atmosphere, shame.
The pork belly that was had by our friend was not so good and she regretted not ordering the fish pie.
The desserts that were ordered were listed as coming with , if I remember correctly, honeycomb icecream, but when it was served to us we were informed that they had run out, so had given us vanilla instead. It would have been nice to have had a choice of alternatives?
Overall we were happy with the meal and would recommend.
