We booked the Sandringham for my father's wake and the service and experience was great from start to finish. All the guests said the buffet was really tasty with lots of variety and there was plenty even though we were slightly over on the expected numbers. There was no rush for us to leave and the area we were in was set away from the main bar area with plenty of space to move around talking to family. Thank you for making our day much more pleasant

The food was excellent, we all really enjoyed our meals and thought it was great value for money. My children are vegetarian and there was a lot of choice for them. We did order deserts, but had to cancel them as we waited a while for them and had to leave as my wife need to go to work. The service from the staff was excellent, they were friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, great prices for drinks and a nice atmosphere here. We had a pre-booked 3 course Christmas dinner and my only advice would be slow down! Within minutes of finishing a course the next one was being served - but the food was tasty and asking for extra gravy etc wasn’t an issue.

First time visiting. It was clean and fresh after just having a refurb. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food I had was chargrilled chicken with chips and a billionaire gold bar which was all very nice and delivered in an acceptable amount of time as the staff were very busy. I would recommend this place.

Everything was excellent. Food was amazing and even though it was really busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff were doing a great job under pressure. The makeover that the pub has undergone recently looks great too. Will definitely visit again soon.

Quick service and good food for the price. The Sandringham was built, along with the housing estate in the 1950's. It has since been modernised on both the outside and inside. It is spacious with space between the tables. The clientele were mature and there was not too much noise or loud music. The food is inexpensive and cooked nicely.

Staff are not overly friendly but they did get our table moved from by a door to another table less draughty but food not fantastic my chicken and bacon pie was not made well had no chicken until three quarters of the way through it and then there was a big lump of it at the end☹ shame because the rest of the pie wasn't to bad

Review Russ from appleradio.co.uk says worth a visit, good parking and easy access. Sunday lunch is reasonable price and good selection on the menu. If you easily get uncomfortable in solid dining chairs then you may have to swap with another table but not an issue. Food was very good.

It was my first visit to this venue The place was warm and welcoming. It was attractively decorated for the season . The folk behind the bar although pretty busy were cheerful and helpful. Always clean and tidy with good service. We have been for several meals most recent one being a set menu for Christmas. It felt we were rushed through all three courses so that makes me think it was all sat warm and not as fresh as possible. I realise it's difficult to cook fresh but at least make it feel like it is! But giving us at least 5 minutes between courses. All three were served in 45 mins!

My husband, myself and a friend of ours regularly do the Sunday quiz, always a really good night, staff are excellent! Nathan and Spencer are epic, they always remember us, what we drink and have a chat if they can. We have eaten here a few times too, food has always been great, good portion sizes and very reasonable (must try the burger and the apple pie!) especially the evening meal deal menu.

Found on Google maps whilst stuck in a jam on the M4. Just a 5 min detour off the motorway and we were here. Great family friendly pub, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Beats the hell out of the motorway services.

Very good value. Highly recommended for lunch. 25 Jan. Is chef having a bad day or off sick? Chicken wings seriously overcooked- been hanging around a while I suppose. Chips with fish seriously stale, cooked hours before. Soup "like dishwater". Lettuce "definitely limp". This is not the usual standard and I hope it is only a temporary blip.

It's the Sandy, and it's local. A long, long time ago it was an amazing local pub with sports, skittles, darts and pool, unfortunately times change and too stay in business you have to sell food. Anyway, nostalgia aside there is a good choice of beers and lagers and the food is ok. It's a typical gastropub but it's 5 minutes down the road so it is in my interest to keep it in business.

We visited the Sandringham twice over the weekend of Beast from the East. Snow was not going to stop us visiting. We had a few drinks and played board and card games. Staff were friendly.

Used to come here regularly as a family of 5 but was left disappointed on the last couple of occasions. Food was OK. Not as good as it used to be and poor service. 45 minutes between courses is not acceptable in my opinion, especially when you have a young child with you.

I have been using Ember Inns for many years and this one is neither better nor worse than most others. As far as the pub in concerned, it is spacious and comfortable, although the decor is a bit boring. Plus point is that it has only one TV, rare for this part of the world (I avoid pubs with TVs!). The food is not spectacular, but reasonably priced, so you are getting what you paid for. Unfortunately my steak and ale pie was all pie and hardly any meat, I have eaten much better in central Bristol. Would I go there again? Yes.

Pretty good food at good prices. If you choose from their three courses for less than £12 you get a choice of 4 or 5 starters, mains and puddings. All good! Staff are great too so a good place to visit for a catch up with friends. Highly recommended.

Working away from Dorset the local pubs to the travelodge don't do food so after a bit of walking I was greated by super friendly staff and had a very tasty meal would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the local area good food great atmosphere would come visit again most definitely when in the area again many thanks 😊
