Absolutely the best carvery around. all homemade all cooked to perfection 4 meats 8 veg you will not be disappointed

Had to leave a review as felt bad we left a fair bit of food... but that was because the portions are VERY generous and most of our group aren't the biggest eaters so it was not a reflection on the quality. I had 3 options from the tapas menu and I'm hindsight would have been more than full with just 2. The waitress was very friendly and helpful especially with the lil one, definitely got herself a new lil friend 😁 there. Very nice little restaurant section which is away from the main bar area so no noise carries through either. Everyone was more than happy with the food that they managed to eat and would be more than happy to visit again if in the area.

Food is still great (thanks Becks) but now under new management who have changed the crockery, plates are smaller and the desserts are served on a swallow dish which is useless for dessert with custard, pretentious not practical. Would be five star if the old crockery was being used. No longer doing food except for Sunday carvery. So more like a good old fashion country pub (still great thanks to Becks).

Just had two roast dinners delivered from the Swan.... Didn't disappoint... My partner ate the lot whilst I've saved half for tomorrow's dinner! Large portions, very tasty and arrived promptly... Definitely be ordering again (and again)

Was in the brunch queue at John Lewis, and thought naa I remembered the Swans Omelettes. 30 mins later I had the most delicious bacon and cheese omelette with fries and a mixed salad. Gorgeous! No picture as the food had my attention and now all I have is an empty plate. Lovely!

Well I was surprised at the quality and price, we had fish and chips on the lunchtime menu and it was delicious, another couple who were in the restaurant had steaks and they loved them, top quality they said. Thoroughly recommend it,

Went for the Sunday carvery today. I am visiting from Australia and missing my Sunday roast I couldnt wait to try one. I am a bit of a roast critic I would say and am fussy. Well, this was hands down one of the best roasts I have ever had. A great choice of meats- beef, turkey, gammon and pork. Good choice of sizes- small was even massive so is enough for most. Medium was huge! And absolute value for money- 8 pounds for small 11.50 for medium. A bargain these days and well worth every pound. I would happily pay 15 pounds for it. Veg cooked perfectly, nice stuffing beautiful yorkies. Meat was nice, good choice of veg and sauces. Nice gravey. Only crackling was burnt that was the only minor thing but atleast it was crispy haha. Will 100% be back when we come over again. The lady serving was very friendly and attentive too

Fantastic food, friendly folk, easy to get a table. American themed smokehouse with lots of options. Beautifully presented and well flavoured food, kids options too. Monterrey was The Best Burger I have ever had. Ever. A little slow to take our order as we arrived early evening and restaurant side was empty, otherwise would have given 5 stars.

31 July :Very nice atmosphere and good food! We were surprised! After our round trip we decided to try The Swan again. So we sat down on Friday 11 August. We found out that beside the fantastic burgers and home made chips the Vegetarian meals were very good. Compliments to the kitchen! (p.s. They know how to make a good Espresso!)

Like this place it is our local. The food has always been nicely cooked and tasty, good value for money, they are always happy to make room for you if they are busy and welcome families to eat there too. Love the option of outdoor eating on the summer days.

Had a very tasty ribeye that was cooked a perfect medium rare. Served with proper home cut chips and very fresh creamy coleslaw. My partner had the St Louis ribs with chilli beans that were delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Came here after being disappointed elsewhere. The carvery was excellent with plenty of choice in a cosy environment. The Frontier Western theme is different and a bit kitschy but it doesn't distract from the atmosphere.

Went to the Swan for a Sunday Lunch over the bank holiday and had so much more than a fantastic Roast . All the staff were lovely and helpful the atmosphere was comfortable and friendly so we went back the following day for a barbicue outside . What a fabulous week end !

Had our U14s Bourne parents Xmas meal here. 14 covers served to perfection and to a high standard. Even boxed up 2 meals for a couple who couldn't attend. The restaurant was packed with other parties. I don't know how they did it, but well done the team.

Had a wonderful Christmas meal with 3 friends. Two of us had perfectly cooked Rib Eye steaks with chunky chips that I would add were definitely home cooked (delicious). Our friends had big ribs (can't remember what they were called) and baby back ribs that literally fell off the bone. I have to say, every one of us were really delighted with our meals. The girl who served us was friendly. This was our first time at The Smokehouse so the decor which was a surprise added some conversation. A bit whacky but we were impressed that all the rustic fittings were made by a local man, - talented :) We will definitely be back.
