Never have to wait too long for food , even when busy. Pleasant staff & good size portions. Great that you can have more coffees at no extra charge & such a low price. Shame other pubs/ restaurants can't do the same.

You know what to expect from 'Spoons but I was a little anxious about a post Xmas visit for breakfast on 27th Dec. Needn't have been. Coffee cups arrived within 3 minutes of ordering via the app, six breakfasts, including my own excellent Eggs Benedict, all arrived just 5 minutes later. Toilets and dining area all very clean. Staff busy, diligent and still with time for a smile.

Usual spoons food and drink, loud bustling atmosphere as is to be expected. Only due to being in Yate....you have the weird webbed feet locals there. Probably the best cooked steak I've had in a Wetherspoon to be honest; really tender, good griddle marks and exactly the level of rare that I enjoy at home. Usually it's one end of the scale or the other in chain pubs ....either too rare or too over. Keep it up chef

Standard Wetherspoons pub. Good selection of beers and ciders and the microwaves are always working overtime of pumping out the standard foods, ordering through the app is quick and easy, the toilets are always very clean although they are a good hike from the bar so best pack some walking shoes. the clientele are shall we say "interesting!" Staff are always friendly

This Wetherspoons is great, the staff always seem very helpful if you need anything. The ease of being able to order on the app is a bonus and the food is always spot on and of good standard, well cooked and what you would expect from a wetherspoons. Food is really good value for the good quality they provide. The inside is kept clean and well maintained and having the outside eating/drinking area is handy.

The local Wetherspoons in Yate - good food, cheap drinks and a nicely decorated place. The toilets feel like they are miles away from the main restaurant (especially when you’ve had a drink). The food is of decent quality for pub food and they also do a good breakfast. Some good deals on food throughout the week. It can sometimes get very busy at Thorns Farm. It is normally clean in there. I recently had the Smashed Avocado English Muffin (Avocado, Guacamole, Pico De Gallo) for breakfast and I added maple bacon for 85p and my other half had the Traditional Breakfast our meals came out quickly but were below average. It was strange having onion for raw red onion for breakfast and the bacon I added came out stone cold and the avocado was chopped rather than smashed and looked nothing like the advertisement picture. My partner was also missing the tomato from his Traditional Breakfast which is annoying as it’s not good enough to miss items and this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at Thorns Farm where things have been forgotten.

Great prices on the drinks. Food service could be much better. The food flys out too quick in my opinion. We were a table of 5 and three of us had issues with out meals. Wrong items / Lacking something etc. Slow it down a tab and make sure each dish is correct. Other than that . It's a Wetherspoons. You get what you pay for don't ya 😜

The food is good, but the beer is not brilliant,it is rather mainstream. I have been a member of camra for 10 years and there are better pubs. I have spoken to a bar manager and have given a few pointers in how to improve the ales. They seem to have taken my advice, they have had some interesting beers recently.

Just went in for a coffee and cup of tea, cost £2.40 and that was for refills as many as you like. Sat outside in the sunshine, good atmosphere. Very polite and helpful staff.

The post lockdown appearance is a definite improvement on its former cafeteria look. The staff continue to provide an efficient, friendly service. It's no place for a romantic rendezvous, or even a great night out, but for economically priced drinks and quick food service, It's a winner.

Went for breakfast this morning. The food was delivered pretty quickly but was only warm, not hot. Seemed to be quality ingredients, the sausages and bacon were very tasty and the coffee machine makes an awesome latte. The only downside was all the chairs looked like they needed a good wash or replacing.

The food can be a bit hit and miss depending on who is cooking I think. Quite a few of the chairs are disgusting so much so I've gone around swapping chairs so I don't sit on anything undesirable or stain my clothes. The staff are always pleasant which is great

Mixed feelings about this one. The good points are: cheap food, cheap beer. The bad points: large crowds of loud smoking groups outside, some of the staff are so rude it's unbelievable. A waitress swearing to herself ( far too loudly) about a customer who was not happy about their meal is unacceptable.

Its nice to see the wooden floors have now been stripped and looks great,the floors used to look grubby and dirty,the whole place looked like it needed a deep clean especially around the coffee machine area and also the gents wc. There seems to be an issue with not enough salt and pepper pots,food being brought to table and then customer hunting other tables for the condiments, that isn't good at all,or supply sachets instead.Also they run on a skeleton crew,not enough bar or waiting staff,tables left dirty and piled high with dirty plates.Its my local,I've always loved wetherspoons pubs,but please employ more staff and decent contract cleaners.

It's alright. Marginal improvement from when I was there a few years ago and they had us waiting for an hour to serve us breakfast. This time I ordered a new item in their menu which was the Quinua salad. It's a very healthy option and comes with fresh avocado. Today Sunday I wanted to mention a particular member of the team Taylor what a lovely bright friendly polite and helpful young lady couldn't of been more helpful to myself and my partner she was informative about the wine choices and knowledgeable with the food menu...definatley one to hang on to I shall look forward to seeing her next time I'm in the thorns farm. ☺

I have only been to yate twice cause we live at Horfield I cannot catch a bus cause I have breathing problems so I cant walk to a bus stop ,so on Sunday our son and his partner took us out for a meal and we seen Thorns Farm and thought we would try it ,well it was absolutely brilliant ,the food was hot and we dint have to wait long the staff were friendly and helpful and the size of the roast dinner was big and really nicely presented on the plate and hot ,we were asked if everything was fine which it was you could not fought it ,lol but don't put it up encase I come again congratulations to all the staff , yours faithfully Liz Hale also forgot what a good choice of food you have on the menu
