N. O.Lovely cup of tea. Visited here on my lunch break as I was feeling thirsty and needed to use the toilet. I didn't feel comfortable using my customers toilet after seeing how disgusting there kitchen was so i popped in the Albany. Great crowd the locals are.
They love the English vs Welsh banter. Great fun

T. B.My local. Seldom any unpleasant aggressive incidents and it serves as a safe haven to a whole cross-section of society. Well kept beer including regular guest ales, polite and friendly staff and a sense of being at the heart of the community within which it sits.
I. C.It's best feature is the beer garden ticked away at the back. It is this little thing that makes it into a wonderful pub to come, when it is quiet. Beer selection is decent, for a Brains pub, and the crowd gives it an ambience fitting for a former 1800s travellers hotel.

G. M.What a. Pleasure. A pub where you can go for a drink without having to fight with crowds that are moving on. They have a hand drawn pump for dark which scores points for me. All the staff are friendly. I will look forward to going there again for a drink.
B. 8.A great pub filled with friendly customers and staff alike. Here you will find a lovely selection of ales and food. There's also a spacious beer garden and skittles alley. The person who has given this pub 1 star has been grossly unfair and unjustified with his claims; I've been going here for 4 years without any trouble whatsoever.

E. S.I like it here, the skittles alley is great. But they only serve lunch, so you can't have a proper night here unless you eat somewhere else first. And there aren't any other restaurants or food pubs nearby. It's quite a long walk to Albany road or Wellfield road.

V. G.Typical British pub with a variety of beers and food too. There's live music some days and every month a reunion of people who play folk music from a region in Spain called Galicia. I trully recommend going to one of this session of live music, free entry.

S. C.Been going to this pub for 15 years when we visit cardiff from the cotswolds. Its a real traditional cardiff pub, friendly with good staff and beer. The decor is amazing; homely, rustic with still an Edwardian style. Its filled with cardiff locals and the atmosphere is lively and buzzy. A real winner if you're in cardiff or visting Roath park and the Lakes. It's the best pub in Cardiff if you want authenticity.
