The out door seated arrangement is excellent and Nichola & Peter Padmore manage the facility very well indeed. I've eaten there only once but it was magnificent in its service and surroundings!!!

They have a great back garden area with plenty of seating. We had a few pints and some nice food. The burger I had was excellent. The place is not upmarket but the food and beer was good and we enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful.

After lockdown difficulties the landlord and landlady Paddy and Nikki have worked hard to re-establish The Butcher's Arms as the go to place in Llandaff. The choice of drink is varied and the food is delicious. I would recommend. 👍

Lovely in of Guinness, food was lovely Fish and chips £6 bargain , my mate had a chicken Burger, he said it was the best ever. Wales won against Fiji happy days. 12/10 fantastic

My family booked here for an occasion. The food and drink was fantastic, the staff are genuinely friendly and very professional the smoking area is covered, toilets are checked regularly and clean. This place has all the 'little details' covered so the overall result is a resounding success. Definitely worth a visit you will not be disappointed.

Rugby Saturday, England v Wales. Pub was packed, standing room only. Great idea to put a marquee in the beer garden with tv, heaters and a small bar. Atmosphere was great, everyone in good spirits, even before the result. Staff are always friendly and quick to serve, having 4 or 5 people behind the bar is a good idea. The Guinness was great! Everytime I go here, I have the Guinness. It's smooth, cold, creamy and absolutely spot on! Best pint of Guinness in Cardiff? Who knows, certainly the best I've had!!!

Very good food despite being very busy due to an event in the Cathedral. Excellent lady at the bar; she could have done with another two pairs of hands. Despite that she continued to smile and made sure you were ok.

Ok range of beers and nice ambience. But PLEASE stop spraying the tables and stacking the chairs on them with half an hour before stop tap. It is rude and spoils the whole evening. Do you want my custom or not?

Nice pub, nice staff, fair and varied beer selection. It's also been decorated since I was last there (early 2017), and that's made an incredible difference to how much brighter it is in there.

Popular pub in Llandaff but I never understood why? It's ok, but nothing more, unfortunately... Visited again last week for the Scarlets v La Rochelle Champions Cup quarter final and had a great time. The service really was very good.

Great proper little pub, with beer garden. Always a good pint of beer, usually a local ale plus HPA and Bass. Not a children's pub but there's others in the area which cater more for families.

A small pub set in the picturesque area of Landaff cathedral and castle, while not primarily a food pub they do a very nice range of bar meals served in a cosy lounge or in the large beer garden at the rear.they have a good selection of beers and ale's all reasonable priced..

One of Cardiff's olde brains pubs, situated at the top end of Llandaff Village High Street, The Butchers Arms has a regular flow of locals & serves good beer. A nice addition to this pub, is the sporting memorabilia decorating the walls. You can enjoy your pint while looking at the famous past rugby players, with the likes of Gareth Edwards. Getting there is easy, buses run regularly from the city center to Llandaff, & this pub is just accross the road from Bishops Palace, & around the corner to Llandaff Cathedral.
