O. N.Really quaint comfortable pub. Real ales and a good selection of ciders. Very accommodating and friendly owner. Proper old school service, offered a jug or straight glass for a good ale, as it should be. My choices were JD Weatherspoon, opposite or here, i made the right choice by far. Excellent independent, we should support more. Would highly recommend, easy 5 star.

D. C.The cosiest pub in Cardiff. Reasonably priced drinks with an eclectic selection of ales, craft beer and unusual spirits. There are often good events on upstairs like Jazz and comedy Nights. The owner is friendly and knows his stinks so if you aren't sure what to order just ask for a recommendation!
P. C.One of the few proper pubs left in Cardiff city centre, a regular stop for us, great cosy atmosphere, perfect setting for a few real ales. The venue also plays host to comedy and jazz on occasions so can be busy at times

S. M.Easily the best Guinness in Cardiff. Hard to get a decent pint of plain this side of the water, but it’s kept well and poured with care here. Goes to show that a little effort goes a long way.
A. P.A good Jazz venue, very handy disabled parking really close by. Regular change of guest beers. NOT a replacement for Dempsey's as it is a smaller room. Alastair and Brenda are doing a fabulous job as hosts again. Pity the toilets are a mountaineering course, up, or down!!! I think the jazz compensates.
