Great beer selection. It may seam a little pricy but it's worth it. And you get entertainment in the form of ping-pong or arcade games what ever takes your fancy :)

Arcade machines looked great but really dropped in for the craft beer as there was a really good selection. Sadly this was well hidden behind the bar, scrawled on some tiny light up blocks in marker pen. As this looks as rough as it sounds, no-one appears to order them instead of the mainstream big pump stuff on the front of the bar. A shame as there was some really good stuff on. I say no-one orders them because despite some friendly service at the bar, both beers we had were bad. The better one of the two smelling unpleasant as well as both tasting iffy. Would guess unclean lines? Didn't have time to take the beers back as we had a restaurant reservation to make but sadly, a real disappointment.

Nice arcade bar, it has a wide range of arcade games which is very nice. However we found the music a little bit boring, after a while we wanted to go home. Anyway, the place is good, the beer was frozen and delicious, there is many sofas and great atmosphere.

Kongs is a really great hidden place in Cardiff. The range of vintage arcade games and table tennis are really good fun if you’re visiting with a couple of people, and the atmosphere of the place is superb with tiles and neon lighting. There’s a great range of beers on draught for (mostly!) a reasonable price. Genuinely think they have a better range than places like Brewdog/Tiny Rebel. Top of the range spirits on offer too for really good prices. Really good place to visit and I’d highly recommend it!

Staff were friendly and helpful and I had a good night out here, in my opinion its very student-oriented which suited me but it may not be to everyone's liking (informal setting, arcade games, quite minimalist seating/decor). I thought the prices weren't too bad - have definitely been to more expensive places in Cardiff. Very good overall.

Always a relaxed atmosphere with a wide variety of arcade machines and games such as table tennis,etc(these were not available due to covid). Sometimes you will also get pop up restaurants in here serving up great food. Recommended.

App wouldn't work, slow service, flat coke which I couldnt drink and wasn't offerd a replacement so ordered a bottled ginger beer, waited an hour for two burgers told they went to someone else on accident. Had to ask for an additional portion of fries due to the long wait when really they should have been offered. Burgers were pretty small for a tenner a burger and super greasy could tell it had gone straight from the fryer onto the bun. No napkins offered so had to go wash our hands in the toilets. I know it's the first opening week but we won't be eating there again.

Great fun! Awesome place to come for a few alternative beers and old, classic arcade games. They also provide table tennis and fussball. If i had to picky i'd say that the £5 for half an hour for the table tennis rental was a bit steep, considering it was midday with no one in there except for our group, however I can understand this being needed if it was later in the evening and/or busy but i think they could do with giving you unlimited time for your £5. Enjoyed my time here though.

Bouncers were friendly as were some of the staff. Other staff however were very unfriendly. I complained that the double vodka coke is just bought tasted awful and wasn’t vodka but the one lady couldn’t remember serving it (30s ago) and the other couldn’t do anything about it. Another member of staff tasted it through a straw and confirmed it was whisky and poured me another one. The venue is very cool - you have to book table tennis fairly in advance on weekends. Drinks can be very expensive as well as entry some nights.

This is mine and my friend's favourite place to go out in Cardiff! It's good for a quick drink and a few arcade games and also for a full night out until 2am on a Friday and Saturday! There's a range of ages inside (mostly 20's) so I feel like everyone is welcome. The table tennis is free to play on weekdays which is fab for an after-work hangout. The staff have always been good and there is never a really long wait to get to the bar. The pop-up restaurant inside is Burger Theory - personally think these are the BEST burgers I have tasted and not a bad price too. You can get discount deals everyday on the food using the app Wriggle. Overall lovely crowd inside!

One of my favourite places to go in Cardiff! Excellent selection of beers - always have Gamma Ray on tap (A personal favourite). Go during the week and you’ll find a chilled out vibe and people play ping pong. Football table normally the favourite as one of the cheaper things to do at 50p a go. Arcade games are a good laugh but £1 a person to go so if you’re rubbish you’ll find yourself spending a small fortune! Interior is quirky and you’ll most likely be sitting on furniture made out of pallets and old cable reels. Food is mostly Burgers but these are excellent. The only thing that lets it down is there never seems to be enough staff on and they can sometimes be preoccupied by their own phones leaving you waiting at an empty bar. Doesn’t stop me going every time I’m in town! Worth a visit!

Could do with more frequent rotation/addition of arcade cabinets. But this is a small quibble - this is my favorite bar in the center of Cardiff

Was recommended to go here by 2 shop workers on the high street. We went along to check it out and was glad we did. It was nice to both have a drink and then play some arcade games too. It’s quite dark in there but that adds to the theme. Spend a couple of hours here and drinks weren’t overly expensive compared to other bars.

A good venue and has old school arcade games in which is great but they are neglected so are falling into disrepair and at a pound a go a little expensive. Good range of alcohol for sale but again, a little expensive. Fine for a drink but you wouldn't want to spend all night in there.

Absolutely love this place. Amazing setting for an awesome and unique date night, the staff are always helpful although some of them stand around on their phones when you're waiting to be served. But the venue itself is epic and the food and drink are lovely.

This place would be the best if the games were properly maintained. The arcade machines are quite obviously emulators but the issue is they either run at the wrong speed or someone has stolen the tops off of the sticks (Just glue them on). And at £1 per play, it's more expensive than the arcade. They do a nice burger menu in there now as well.

This place is pretty great, the only thing is whenever i have gone there is usually 1-3 game machines out of action. The food is always good here and changes often, drinks are pretty varied with LOTS of beers to choose from.

A larger selection of arcade machines would have been nice. Some of the ones there were well used and worn down. Some of the pinball machines were faulty. Need better maintenance for the machines. The burgers were tasty. Battered food items were a little greasy.

An interesting place to hang out with friends. It's essentially a basement bar so you won't get the views, but it's somewhat unique in that sense. Food is provided by Burger Theory and features some of the best vegetarian burgers I've had, which is the main thing that keeps bringing me back. Kongs has been open a little while now but still seems to lack much of an atmosphere, though it's hard to say how it could be improved. It comes off as unfinished more than anything else, but it you're looking for a good burger and a pint, surrounded by an interesting selection of arcade games and table tennis, it's worth a look at least once.

We've this place but feels like have been there way too often. Some days there is a fantastic music playing most if the time they have an ok playlist of some good old songs. The bar is alright. The coke feels flavourless there and once my boyfriend have not been served in 30 min, we are not sure what was a problem.

It's a cool idea for a bar and it's got it's charms, but in my experience the bar staff have always been very slow and a bit rude. Which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to pay quite so much for a drink or your food. When it comes to the food, I highly recommend the dirty fries, they are banging! All the burgers I have had from here though have been dripping with grease, not the most appetising.

Kong's is a rather new addition to Cardiff but unlike most new bars this one is unique. As you enter stairs lead you down stairs so you are underneath the high street buildings. It's opens up into a rather large industrial contemporary designed floor plan and bar area. The bar is rectangular and situated in the center and is accessible to be served from all sides. A lot of the beer the serve is craft and they introduce new delightful spirits t the bar scene. Along the right hand side wall you'll find a mass selection of vintage games consoles that are restored and working so you can play them. Along the left hand side are two ping pong tables which a great difference to pool. Although if you're not an avid player of ping pong you'll discover how bloody frustrating it is. All the while still fun.

Absolutely fantastic underground club venue in Cardiff which has a fun video game theme. This is an absolutely great place to go with a large group of people as there are plenty of other attractions except for drinking. However as with all places I must docket one star for being pricing this is simply a relic of a past self when I remember when drinks were a lot cheaper and really do wish that on a decent night out you could get more than just 3 drinks for your £20. However all that aside kongs is 100% worth a visit and I would almost always drag a few people here before the end of the night.

This is a great central location to meet friends and the Burger Theory food is superb. The arcade games are a little overpriced but between several people, the table tennis or air hockey is a great option. This is a great central location to meet friends and the Burger Theory food is superb. The arcade games are a little overpriced but between several people, the table tennis or air hockey is a great option. Staff were friendly and fun and I’m looking forward to checking this place out at a later time in the evening as well.
