Fantastic service, food was delicious and our server Lavina? was top notch and was really helpful advising meal selection for my children who wanted to experiment. 3 courses ordered and empty plates were returned. The kids loved their Mocktails too.

Love it everytime I go, the best nachos! Stephen was our server the last time we went and we were thoroughly looked after! There was a few drink spillages but they were replaced quickly and we were given free puddings! One of my favourite places in Cardiff.

Came here for the 241 cocktails.. they were delicious.. Setting is lovely.. we were however ignored when we first arrived, a staff member just kept walking past us.. Would have been nice just to have been acknowledged and told someone would be with us shortly. The gentleman who did eventually see to us was lovely and the cocktails made up for it.

On a very busy Saturday in Cardiff, after endless restaurants turning us down, the amazing host was able to seat us in around 10 minutes. The run off their feet staff were smiley and friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was really tasty too and came out in good timing, which in a busy restaurant is certainly an achievement. We were very happy with our visit. Thank you

Absolutely amazing service (Lavinia, was our waitress and was just superb !!) We ordered the steak .... unbelievably stunning, the accompanying sweet potato fries, cooked to perfection AND the 2 different pots of ... sheer herbs/spices to spread onto steak .... were a PURE INDULGENCE !!! We hadn't booked but we were squeezed in. Waiting staff were very attentive ... tried to order mains twice! We do enjoy the plantain here .. (maybe the Southbank plantain was slightly better) .. squeaky cheese and chilli jam 😋 yum!!! Staff sorted my intolerance out and changed my dish no problem ... requested a takeaway box as couldn't eat it all! Bill sorted promptly when mains accidentally charged twice. The food was amazing here - a couple of starters and one main course is more than enough for two people! The 2 for 1 on alcohol was a nice bonus, two pitchers is around 8 drinks total... They're a little watered down due to the amount of ice that's added in, but still nice nonetheless. Food was hot and served immediately the atmosphere was lovely too! Definitely one to try if you've never been!

Myself and my wife visited Cardiff Bay at the same time Ed Sheeran and my chemical romance were in town. Las Iguanas was full to bursting! Even though it was crazy busy the servers were attentive, the food was great and came out promptly. The cocktails are 1st class also. I would highly recommend.

This is a very nice venue with a latin feel. I was pleased with the variety in both the food and drink menus. I was booked in for lunch on a Saturday and the place was packed which provided a lively ambiance. One downside is the long wait for your order. I would certainly recommend Las Iguanas and I will be returning myself. The staff are pleasant and helpful.

I went on a Thursday night with two friends. We shared the guacamole to start and then I had the salted Brazilian beef. I’d say all three of us were disappointed with our food, the guacamole tasted off and my friend’s burger was very over cooked. Service was average, we specifically asked for starters to come at the same time as our mains but this didn’t happen. Would say the cocktails were good though. 2-4-1 is good value.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with friends and despite a few bumps at the start we had an excellent experience. The food was delicious and delivered promptly. The cocktails were amazing as always. They even treated us to a bottle of prosecco to toast my special day. We spent over 2 hours here and didn't feel pressured to leave even though it was a busy Saturday night.

My Faaaavourite Place Ever!! I really love that they do an entire menu for Vegetarians/Vegans so we dont have to search through a menu filled with meat options. It caters really well for veggies and vegans. 💚 The cocktails are fabulous and so are the Staff. Always willing to help. I also love the ambience of the place.. its lighting and set out. Its got a good vibe to it. Even my 5 year old loves this place! She has good taste. 🤗🍽🍹

Location and ambiance is ok. Food is a bit ‘meh’ - the chicken and chips hot dish (can’t remember it’s name) was not very hot and also dry - which is quite hard to do for chicken on the bone. The service was quick though (which may explain it) and the waitress really friendly and attentive - so made up for it. Overall, it’s probably a really good place to go out with a crowd after work - but probably not for a special occasion. PS the Jack fruit curry was better than the chicken (according to the person I went with — who is a vegetarian. So, no idea how she could compare :-))

Stefan was amazing! He was polite, attentive, and gave us time when we're couldn't make our choices from the menu. Food was hot, tasty, and plentiful. The only complaint was the lack of soap in the ladies toilet (even after we had asked for the soap dispenser to be refilled). A great evening.

Lovely place. Booked in advance for drinks, we arrived, and the young lady who showed us to our table gave us a bottle of prosecco for free! This was because on arrival my fiance informed her that it was meant to be our wedding day but due to covid we'd had to postpone. She was so welcoming (not just because she gave us free prosecco) but because she was so empathetic and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere here and would definitely return. Thank you to Regan!! I visited this restaurant one evening during the busy run-up to Christmas. Having booked a table we were seated immediately and whilst from the entance the restaurant looked fairly small, I was assured that a staircase led to a larger seating area. The booth we had was lovely with plenty of room for the three of us and our Christmas shopping. The staff were attentive and drinks were brought pretty quickly. The menu is impressively extensive with dishes to appeal to all tastes from across South America. I can't be sure that a South American would find them genuine but there seemed to be a good variety. Although the restaurant was busy, the food came in good time, was well presented and tasted excellent. At no time did we feel under pressure to leave and it was easy enough to obtain extra drinks. Situated close to John Lewis and the St. David's Shopping Centre with their large carparks, and a short walk from Cardiff Central Station this is a great place to break up a day's shopping or for a special meal out.

Friendly staff, spacious tables, good selection of dishes and a good atmosphere. I ordered the BBQ ribs and these were very tasty. The portion looked very large but unfortunately it was more bone than meat and I was still hungry afterwards. I tend to find most of the main meals at Las Iguanas not very filling and some of these can be quite pricey at around £18 each. The churros we had for dessert were really nice, crispy with delicious dips!

My wife and I had a wonderful time. We were over an hour late for our booking and they accommodated us even though we didn't call ahead. The food was fantastic, drinks were wonderful. Service was superb, and the timing was to perfection. The only disappointment was the state of the washroom. Other than that, an excellent evening. Will definitely recommend. First-time being in Wales, had dinner in our hotel the previous night but could not compare although it was carded as winning several accolades for the past few years.

The food here is good. The staff were no where near as friendly and approachable as some other eaterys located near by. The restaurant was quiet but still the service was really slow. I have been staying in Cardiff for 6 weeks with a colleague so we have been eating out every night. On average we would spend 45-60mins in a restaurant we were in here for nearly 120mins because of the slow service.

I enjoyed the food, although in relation to the price I would say that the portions were too small. The music was too loud and the same tune was repeating the whole night which was annoying. The staff were pleasant and there was a nice atmosphere. The biggest disappointment of the night was the dessert which only comprised of six pineapple chunks (which definitely looked like it was from a tin, not fresh fruit) on small standard cocktail sticks. For a price of £6.99, I would have expected something else on the side such as ice cream, or maybe other fruits etc. After complaint of the desert they said that the price was mostly due to the cinnamon flavouring on the pineapple, which was a poor excuse of daylight robbery.

We turned up without a reservation and they had a table ready for us within 5 minutes. Also, we arrived during happy hour, which involves 2-for-1 cocktails. We had the Pescado a la Macho (fish dish) and the Seco de Cordero (a dry lamb stew). Both were great. Staff were attentive and friendly and the price was reasonable for the food, which was of good quality and a decent enough quantity. The restaurant and atmosphere were really nice, but we would have found it a lot more special if we didn't look online afterwards and find that it's a chain and there's one at home (in Manchester) too!
