Has a fantastic evening at Mary's. Lovely team and a very nice crowd. The bar is spacious and very comfortable with lots of seating. Had some great drinks served too, from happy staff which makes all the difference!

We had a friends birthday her arranged through Rhys Davies. To say we were treated like princesses, would be an understatement. We arrived early to happy hour and the prices were beyond reasonable. The music was fantastic and the owner made sure we all had a great night. I would strongly recommend a night here if you like a laugh and love a dance, surrounded by the friendliest of people. Never had a bad night here ❤🍸🍾🍷🍻🍹

Been to a couple of events hosted here for friends, every time the manager and staff go above and beyond to make it a special celebration in your own reserved space and you can see him doing it for everyone who chooses to be there! He is proactive and helpful and the staff are friendly as well. The entertainment and music is always great and the drinks aren't bad in price either! Happy to keep visiting and using as a place to celebrate!

Visiting from Cornwall and spent two brilliant nights at this fantastic club bar - Sunday karaoke and Miss Kitty’s Monday Night Ditty - for two special occasions (anniversary and partners birthday). The team looked after us so well both nights, nothing was too much trouble and they even surprised us with some lovely extras. We can’t wait to come back again!

Had yet another amazing night at Mary’s on Saturday 05th March for a friend’s birthday. Gordon really is the most with the host, there to greet us at the steps and led us to a fantastic VIP area, which offered deluxe front row seats for the stage and dance floor and to top that off, a free bottle of bubbly and happy hour too. If you can find a better DJ, live entertainment, atmosphere and service at the bar I’d like to hear it. Huge congrats to all involved. Be back VERY soon (and Gordon I promise to shave next time 🤣😘)

I’ve visited Mary’s for the first time today , and wow what a venue! As I walked in the door staff were very polite and well mannered, got to the bar and the bar staff were very helpful and catered to all our requirements. The decor is amazing and I can see that this venue go above and beyond for there customers, I even got talking to the manager and what a professional gentleman. A 5* review I will be back!

Went to Mary's for the first time years ago with my brother. Had a lot of fun. Staff were all friendly and the drag act was great. It was a disney themed night so my brother and I were in our element. The atmosphere there was very relaxed and non judgemental. Can't wait to go again when I'm back in Cardiff. 😁

Went to Cardiff for the weekend with a group of friends and I genuinely thought that gay bars had stopped being selective with who they let in. Not that it should matter but the group of friends I am with are all gay. We had put on girlier clothes for our night out on night one and were told it was full. Did seem busy so went with it but in my head I was thinking I have heard that line pulled out at GAY in London on people, who luckily weren’t me, a hundred times. Anyway, night two gave it a second shot and were told we were only allowed in if we had a booking. Very vague on how to make it or if we might be allowed in later. Went to a little gay bar down road and asked someone here if Mary’s are selective about who they let in/locals/ regulars and he said ‘yeh I am always alright but they do it to people all the time.’ I will tell anyone I know visiting Cardiff not to bother as clearly if you don’t fit their stereotype of what someone going into Mary’s should be like then you aren’t getting in. I have been gay clubbing all over the UK and have myself never experienced this. If I was refused entry to a ‘straight pub’ for looking to gay let’s be honest it wouldn’t be acceptable. When I give this place 1 star it won’t post but would give it zero if I could. I think my review should be heard. Our community at times is still discriminated against on enough occasions that you think going into a Gay bar you would be accepted.

Mary's is the best gay bar in Cardiff. Gordan is a fantastic manager and always looks after you and puts on a great night no matter what. His bar staff are fantastic. Assistant manager matt helps the place shine with his great service and banter. Callum and mathew on the doors are very welcoming and a great laugh also professional. And the drag acts are fabulous as always. Definitely reccomened this place if you haven't been here yet.

I have been to this venue on many occasions since it opened and have never had a bad night out at Mary’s! The staff are always attentive and friendly and Manager Gordon is always welcoming! The choice of quality drinks is excellent and nothing seems too much trouble for Gordon and his Team! The entertainment is fabulous with top local and National Acts and the Sunday Bingo is hysterical! I cant rate this venue highly enough!

Had the most amazing time at this spectacular bar. The atmosphere was fantastic, my friends and I laughed so much we could hardly contain ourselves, the bingo was an experience that will stay with me as one of the best giggles ever. Aunty Ada and Betty Bingo were unfaltering with their wit, the one liners were quick and daringly close to the mark. The drinks were exceptionally cheap and the choice was fantastic. The staff were attentive and professional. This lovely place remains one of my very favourite places.

So we went to Mary's last night and what a lovely atmosphere and the Host was absolutely amazing 💯. Made a real effort to make us feel welcomed and special.
