Food is classic pub grub, massive portions and very tasty all round.
Looks quite small from the outside, but looks can be deceiving…a lovely bar area opens up into a large pub with an equally large garden.
A busy Friday night makes for a great atmosphere, lovely buzz and vibe to the whole place.

Wouldn't recommend the food - just your bog standard greasy pub grub. You can use the app to order but it's much more enjoyable to order at the bar and have a banter with the staff and locals.

The food is delicious but also reasonably priced. They have a great range of beers as well as brilliant beer garden.
What I really appreciate is that they go the extra mile to keep the place Covid secure and yet have managed to retain that local pub feel.

M. D.It's a standard English pub. They serve Sunday roast (which is a plus) but you cannot order it via their app (which is super confusing). The same goes for drinks - there is separate qr code to scan for food orders and another one for drinks, you have no chance against this messed up system if you're new there. They have a nice big garden and telly to watch matches so that's a plus.

Clean, good smells, non-sticky tables and good mix of music and sports for all. They keep a good cask ale for those wondering. Nice layout meaning different ares to suit everybody... good size garden, nooks, big screens, seating and bar.
Great place for those who find their way inside but don't tell everyone! Place like this is easily ruined by larger numbers of foot traffic.

J. S.I like this particular chain of pubs as they are a local franchise and they are great value for money and nice and homely and remind me of the old spit and sawdust pubs from when I was a little girl.
I have visited the north star one in north road last year and found them very good and the one in the city centre is great as well.
I am happy to keep returning to the pubs in this chain.

j.It's been modernised and has a bigger beer garden and bar/restaurant.they have screens for the big rugby and football matches. The beer is a bit pricey we thought but were not people who go out often. We had a family meal there on sunny afternoon outside it was packed and children running around in little play area. I think they could have made the play are big and not had the fountain right by there as kids are kids and were bored as we looked over,staff complained of kids picking up the pebbles. Apart from that it's a very nice and a great atmosphere there.

There’s a huge selection of draft beers which aren’t exactly cheap, but you pay to be surrounded by legends, weirdos, idiot students and true Cardiff people. The beer garden is huge and it’s a nice place to enjoy a sunny pint.
