S.Superb boozer a stones throw away from Cardiff Bay. One of the best pints of Guiness I've had and a proper welcoming atmosphere. The landlord, landlady and bar staff made us feel very welcome!! Felt like a local after a few hours.

B.This is how a pub should be, no fancy cocktails, or music blasting away, you can actually sit down and have a conversation with your companions, or sit on your own with a newspaper, I felt really comfortable here and if I was a local then it would be my local, the young lady who served us was cheery and polite, make sure you call in for a glass or two.
J. M.If you're down the bay you really should call in here. Great selection of drinks, cozy bar, and the staff are super friendly and really helpful. My fave bar down the bay by far.

T. R.If you like a traditional pub then visit here, it's in a great location (Cardiff Bay). One of the very few 'original public houses' left in Cardiff Bay. Warm, welcoming, reasonable, great little beer garden, friendly staff, definitely worth a visit.

R. F.What a lovely friendly place to visit for a drink. We arrived by chance there last night and instantly felt very welcome. Covid rules were in place without you feeling to confined or on edge that you may do the wrong thing. Bums on seats and you have your table for as long as you want. Both the manager and the lady behind the bar as she put it 'the gopher'
made our night. We returned again this afternoon and again the warm welcome was there. Highly recommended for a pleasant and friendly. Decent prices, lively multicultural pub. Well worth a visit if your in Cardiff Bay. We hope to visit again soon.

M. W.Stopped off here because we had an afternoon to spend in Cardiff. Pleasant enough place with a history and very busy with rugby fans frustrated after their game had been called off due to "The Virus." Drank the Brains bog standard bitter which was reasonably priced and decently presented.

r. p.I love this place as its a traditional pub. It's not full of idiots drinking bottled beer and posing at the bar. It's a traditional boozer and I've always felt welcome there. Top class!!!
I. T.Not the biggest of places in Cardiff Bay but always speedy service at the bar. Even at the busiest of times the customers keep moving and you never wait long to claim a couple of seats. Darts and other bar games in the snug. Clean toilets and easy location to be collected from our catch a taxi at the end of the night
S. N.A solid Brains pub. Beer is therefore a bit limited but its a large open space, bright and good to watch sport in. Staff friendly and good service when visited. Generally slightly older crowd when visited.

P. H.Tend to visit when we are visiting Cardiff bay. Old style Brains house, mostly sofa type seating (very comfortable), no food served any longer. 3 ales on offer (Brains bitter, SA gold & Reverend James original) + all the usual stuff.
m. b.One of the few original traditional pubs in the Bay. The only other one is Mischiefs (but that's not a proper name for a pub so it doesn't really count.)Everyone should go there as often as possible and drink lots of beer. They deserve local support.
J. M.It's OK with good selection of Brains ales, but the big screen TVs at max volume detract from the atmosphere. The Sunday Telegraph ranked it one of the 100 best pubs in Britain a few years ago, that seems overly generous.
