S. B.I came here for a hen party on a Saturday night. There was a great selection of drinks available. The place was relatively busy but the staff services quickly and efficiently. I also remember the doorstep being welcoming and courteous.
We all has a lovely evening thank you Philharmonic 🙏 I will certainly return for another celebration in the future.

Very clean, went during the day and the service was very quick.
Only thing I’d change was how loud the music was during the day time.
Couldn’t really have a conversation with my friends properly without having to talk super loud.

I. J.Use to love going here but due to a creepy staff member no longer feel safe here. A male member would always give me mate free drinks in exchange for making out with him but he’s taking it too far now. Such a shame as it’s a great place

It was rugby night, so was very very busy.. But super efficient to get served. Staff very happy.
Beer and Abba and sticky carpets.. What's not to love.

D. R.I happened upon this wonderful place whilst on business in the area. Staff were very helpful,friendly and welcoming. Even my little dog 🐕 was very well looked after. I have no hesitation in Thoroughly recommending The Philharmonic Cardiff. 5 star plus.

G. C.Had the best burger ever at lunchtime today and the price was good. The food is amazing however the customer service, although not bad, lacks friendliness and has no sense of urgency. The decor is a little tired but it's OK for a quick lunch. There were only 6 of us eating at the pub, all having burgers but it took far too long, over 30 mins, for the food to come out. Good rating for the quality of the food.
N. C.Had a bottomless brunch. Amazing value for money. I was drinking gin with fever tree tonic and I managed to get more than my money's worth fairplay. Our server, Imogen was fantastic. The chef had a bit of a mix up with the vegan & veggie options and was a bit rude considering it was his mistake but all was good in the end. Will definitely go again.

S. B.This is a nice bar with some fantastic drink deals available in the early evening, making it a great place to go in a group. There’s a small raised performance area and the live singing on a Thursday evening was really good, creating a brilliant atmosphere. Everywhere is clean and the tables are large and spacious. Staff are friendly, including those on the door, and you’re made to feel welcome immediately. There’s a small amount of seating undercover outside at the front which is nice, even in the rain, and inside is large enough to accommodate almost all of the time. It’s one of my favourite places in the centre and I’ll certainly be returning.

D. M.It was a dead wet Monday night when I called in with a friend. It appeared that the bar staff were inexperienced as they had problems with one of the pumps. At least they consulted a more senior member of staff to resolve the issue.

Really enjoyable. Cooked beautifully. Girls said pints more expensive than Live Lounge. It was busy. nice crowd. No ruffians. Toilets immaculate but apparently I went in the gents ahaaaa

D. S.Would have been a 5 if my second point had not tasted of line cleaner. This was handled well and my pint was replaced from a different tap so all good in the end. Friendly staff and I loved the Welsh cider., although a little expensive at £4.20 a pint. I Will definitely go back though

J. T.Card machine went down so had to leave to get cash, and the floor was very sticky. Plus toilets were cramped with not many urinals / cubicles for a bar / club of that size. Staff were great though
C. L.Great club and vibe although giving out real glass on a night out really shouldn't be a thing anymore. There's a reason most clubs dont do it and this place should follow suit. The dance floor ends up being covered in glass shards, as do the soles of your shoes. And its dangerous to say the least and obviously more costly than reusable plastic ones.

G. H.Fantastic night in here last night 12/1/19, with the girls from work. Friendly staff, good spacious room to move around. Something for everyone, a bar and a dance floor. Hadn't been here for about 10 years or more, but might become a regular again! Thank you PHILHARMONIC! :-) x

A. W.Not enough staff on a Friday night. All I wanted was a bottle of lager but all the staff downstairs were tied up making cocktails so, after 10 minutes waiting, I went upstairs to get my drink. Otherwise, an enjoyable night
K. L.Was ok. Free to get in. However 2 major issues. Lager had no life in it. IE it was flat despite asking for a new pint. Also lady DJ only liked to play about the first minute of each song so music kept chopping and changing. Play the full song please!

C. W.Great music. Lush space to dance and cater for groups including supplying food and drinks vouchers. Speak to Gavin as he is a great host who will sort you out with a deal you'll love. Use Philharmonic for a lot of corporate events and would recommend.

H. D.Been twice since it's done. First time was class... Second not so much. Might have been my level of intoxication that made the difference... Also the massive pile of vomit on the dancefloor that was there the second time wasn't very nice. The fact it made it a miniature slip in slide for other revellers was somewhat amusing. All in all... Yeah it's ok. Would have gone 3.5 of that was an option but feeling nice so 4 it is.

R. M.The Philharmonic is about as middle of the road as pubs get. Nothing inoffensive or wrong with it necessarily, just no reason for me to want to go back.
As Cardiff prices go it’s fairly expensive with very little of any real interest to convince me that it’s worth it. If you want a beer on St Mary Street, you can definitely get one here... just like you could anywhere else.

n.Probably the best bar in town. Not the cheapest..prob mid price, but the drinks are great, the staff are friendly, there's loads of bars, the building is full of character, and depending on what night there is something for everyone. They're also a little bit fussy on who goes in, so it is free of undesirables ;-)
P. H.Had a fabulous meal here today. Was welcomed by Bethan who was an absolute sweetheart. The steak and lamb were cooked to perfection It was a prize that had been donated by The Philharmonic in aid of Cancer Research, well done guys for supporting such a good cause. The chips were heavenly and the creme brullee rounded off a great meal. Bethan your a star, your smile lit up the place. Will definitely return.😊
