L.Lovely little pub, it's perfectly located across the road from Llandaf train station and a few shops!
It's a lovely building Itself with a cool outside seating area and a lovely food menu! I didn't eat this time as I'm working in Cardiff for a week but I'll definitely be going back and the food smelt amazing!
Lovely welcoming staff and more then reasonable prices I'd highly recommend popping in for a quick one or some food!

K. C.Seven of us enjoyed a fantastic three course Christmas dinner last night. The food was outstanding and Ian was a great host. Special thanks for catering so well for me (im coeliac) and I was served gluten free cauliflower cheese, gravy, Xmas pudding and mince pie. We will be back for sure. Thanks once again.

F.My fiance and I went here for a celebratory meal not expecting much from a local pub however we could have not been more wrong as the menu was extensive but not overwhelming service was absolutely delightful the drinks reasonably priced and the quality of the food premium it was a real shock and we have certainly advised on everyone especially those for a gluten-free vegan that they should come with us to the railway one day a small procedure could be that the Sunday roasts which are truly extraordinary or a little bit pricey for those who might not be able to afford it however they are also the top quality food
E. L.The Railway is still requesting contact details, wear a mask whilst moving about and one person at a time using the toilet. Table service is provided. This is allowed by personal choice of the owner which I felt fine about.
As for the pub itself, the staff are friendly and as usual, fine ales are served.
C. W.Amazing first meal at the Railway today.Freshest king prawns, perfectly cooked. Buddha bowl was superb with the most fabulous ingredients and the lemon ice cream cheesecake was Devine. Set up safely outside with really attentive and conscious staff. Will be back.Excellent!

A.Went for Sunday dinner today. Extremely happy with the food and service. Two ladies were so friendly
You need to book in advance if you want a table here and I would recommend doing so.
J. M.I went there for my friend's mothers wake. The buffet provided was one of the best I've seen. As well as the usual fayre of sandwiches, sausage rolls and pizza there were also lovely and different salads, a well stocked cheese board and meat platter. Also a variety of cakes. They had also catered for lactose intolerant guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the landlord and his staff. I would definitely recommend it.

C. B.The pub is under new management and Ian catered for my Mum's funeral in the lounge. The food was a fabulous selection and he catered well for my dairy and my Aunts lactose intolerance. The buffet was beautifully presented and a fabulous selection of sandwiches, chicken drumsticks, salads, antipasti, cheese board and desserts and prosecco(with a strawberry) to mention a few things. The lounge seems to have had a refurb and looked lovely and the bar staff were very attentive. Thank you for making the day so special. Will return for a meal
R. T.Good food if somewhat slow service. We had Sunday roasts sat outside under a canopy in light rain due to covid restrictions.

W.Felt a very safe place to be during Covid - we sat outside using the table service and 'Round' app to order and pay, which was so quick and easy (and I hope continues after Covid!); staff wore facemasks and wiped over tables inbetween customers; clientele were sensible and compliant; and Ian the landlord came to check everything was ok several times, and just for a chat :)
