c. l.Recently visited this lovely family pub with my young family, the beer garden is a fantastic outdoor space with lovely views.
The service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly, especially good with the kids. All our meals were lovely and after discovering they do doggie roast dinners too we will be back very soon for Sunday lunch.
A special thank you to Mike the landlord for the free icecream when my youngest was having a meltdown, which allowed us to finish our meals.

A. p.Love this family run pub, always a warm welcome, and a great menu and choice of drinks. Summertime is Specially good at this pub with a fantastic beer garden and pods with TVs no need to sit inside when the sunshine in when you can watch your favourite sports team in the sun, The management are always trying something new to improve the service they provide making it a happier place for all to come.
N. A.This small,friendly village pub has gone through many changes over the last 3 years or so and all of them for the better. It's now clean, warm and well run, the food is of a very good standard and the beers ( it is a pub afterall) are exceptional. It can get busy in there, particularly over the weekends, but it's always welcoming. Mike, Marsha and their staff deserve applause, they all work damned hard to make sure each and every customer get a great service. The beer garden is probably one of the best you will find anywhere,with very comfortable seating in a heated areas and the view is just outstanding. If Carlsberg made pubs..........

R. M.We ate Sunday Lunch here as a party of five, two vegans. First impressions: cosy, modern interior, spotlessly clean, and very attentive staff. The roast lamb lunch was well presented, with a side selection of carefully prepared vegetables including gourmet variety carrots. There was a vegan roast option too, although the vegans chose the burger which they both said was delicious.
We were made to feel welcome, the food and service was consistently high, value for money was outstanding. We’ll be back, thank you!
G. R. D. (.Most improved local pub - was a bit of a pit until the latest revamp and known locally as 'The Pharmacy' so I was told. Looks really smart now, great beer garden with outside bar and view of the mountain (although the balcony section has a definite slope - watch your drinks!), staff always friendly and helpful, keeping the odd loon at bay, and the pub dog Sampson is really lovely. Not eaten there yet but may get round to it. Excellent place to spend an afternoon in the sun, so long as you are happy with tasteless big brand beer. No craft beer in sight. Coffee good though!

A. S.Sunday lunch, meat not cooked great but tasty enough - would prefer a choice on how cooked, veg good but roast potatoes hard and Yorkshire pudding poor. Reasonably priced though.
J. C.If you're hiking the nearby trails and are looking for a relaxed place to recover after, then the beer garden here is perfect. Staff were very patient as we came enmass needing a recovery adult beverage after the hike.

To have a dog poo bin so close to people eating was a bit off putting, it should be the other side of the fence. Gate to exit was difficult to open. The seafood pasta was good, but the fish & chips was poor compared to other restaurants used recently.

Order taken and served in a timely manner, of which I have no complaints whatsoever, very courteous staff and a clean pleasant environment. I would be happy to return and also to recommend. R. H.A great find, under new management since November 2019 and due for a full refurb in March 2020. The new management have cleaned the place up considerably judging from old reviews. I had a great lunch here on a wet afternoon and will definitely be back to enjoy the outdoor seating when the warmer weather is with us. Friendly staff and great food, I was even drooling over someone's vegetarian burger, but in the end opted for the "real" one. My wife had the salmon fishcake with a poached egg and raved about it all the way home. They also cater for children and welcome well behaved dogs in the bar. As a bonus, there is a bus stop right outside so you can leave the car at home. There is also parking if you do need to take the car! Talking to a couple of locals it appears that this is once again a pub for families and couples with none of the previous "dodgy" smokers crowding the place. Will definitely be back after the refurbishment to see how the new Taffs Well Inn looks.

a. w.Went for a drink last night just to be nosey. Full of v noisy men & 3 women, but very good humoured. The 2 young waiters were lovely & chatty. Inside & toilets are very clean & decorated nicely, unlike with previous owners. Can't wait for them to start serving food. Good luck for the future.

The pub serves a variety of drinks with all satellite sport channels covered, OK they don't serve food but it's a great real local pub next door to "the" taffs well spa" and a nice park.
