J. L.A good pub with a great city centre atmosphere. Went there with our choir and had a bit of a sing song. They made us very welcome. Good beer, great chips!
A. M.This place is steeped with history, looks like a real locals pub that probably sadly, due to multistory developments around it relies mainly on trade from the arena. It's a real friendly pub, not pretending to be anything else other than a feed and water hole. Warm welcome from the landlady (wearing crocs! Superstar) friendly staff even with a room full of thirsty post gig goers. You can stick your glass and chrome bars in town up your jacksy. This is a real pub, part of our heritage and needs to remain that way. Use it or lose it.

P. C.First time in Cardiff. We found this little pub near our hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The beer was good at a decent price and the food looked good although we didn't eat. Good to hear some proper music as well !

Good prices , we went in Saturday , it was easy to get a table , went in Sunday before a James and happy Mondays gig , the pub was playing their music and the place was heaving great atmosphere everyone was having a great time , thanks for a great time .

It's a little of the beaten track, but we'll worth a visit, what really appealed to our party was, that it's a good old fashioned pub and not part of a corporate chain.

Excellent value for money, tasty food and friendly service. Four different meals ordered, all delicious. Clean plates all round. Will certainly go back.

It's really not neccesary to run a playlist of ONLY songs from the band or artist you're about to see though, particularly to turn a jukebox off when the whole pub is buzzing, loudly singing songs by similar likeminded similar artists. This actually effected the atmosphere negatively until it picked back up again.

Luckily, we Found this pub, full of people enjoying the evening and many like us having a pre-concert drink. What does the pub do? They play James Taylor music! 🎼✅🎸💙💕🍺🍸🥜

Close to the hotels, shops, clubs, rugby etc. Match days they do a large and small English breakfast, with a free beer. Sometimes have live music. Leather settees, high stools/tables. slow tables and benches. It's all here. Very friendly staff, 4 tv's and a pretty good juke box. Always come here when in Cardiff
