Reviews of Tiny Rebel Cardiff

Awesome beers and burgers, gets super busy of an evening but at lunch it's quiet.
Good it great quality and they always have a good rotation of guest cider on, but it's Tiny Rebel, why do you need any other beer?
Visit the brewery in Newport too if you have time. Same vibe, bigger place with outdoor area.
J. L. S.
Great place, EXCELLENT music (rock-pop), lovely staff. Food fair taste (Good portion) - much variety of beers, all tasted very good! Loved the place and definitely will return if possible
C. P.
This place is great for any number of reasons.
The last Wednesday of the month has a karaoke night which is a great way to blow off steam while enjoying the great selection of ales.
Additionally the food here is great love the dirty fries and they have a massive Sunday lunch with all the trimmings you won't leave hungry that's for sure.
K. S.
We were happy to finally visit the bar of one of our favourite breweries! Great location and a quirky old building. All bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers, even the door security were good for a laugh as well. Would definitely recommend that you visit and try some awesome beers.

Tiny Rebel’s anything but Tiny Sunday Roast
Woke up to a grey and chilly Sunday in Cardiff: so after a zillion coffees to perk me up and staggering the streets in comfy sweats, today called for only one thing...a cosy Pub Sunday Lunch.
Half of my university tuition was pumped into Tiny Rebel…well behind their bar anyway. But I never gave my whole hearted attention to their food menu.
And frankly - what the hell have I been doing with my life!?
🚨 So news in: Tiny Rebel are serving one of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve had in the city!!…and why have I just found this out!?
I mean just look at it - we were STUFFED! (Zoom into the menu to see the list of trimmings!)⚡️
The juiciest meat, crispiest roasties and sexiest little cauliflower cheese I’ve had!! Oh and that braised red cabbage, it was so reduced and smooth, it was like having sweet cabbage jam in my mouth! 🔥 yes please!!
We managed to grab a table before the lunchtime rush, but even that was a close call. So book ahead and enjoy what I’ve always believed to be the best pub atmosphere Cardiff has to offer.
And guys at Cardiff Tiny Rebel, todays playlist was👌🏻!!
🍻 Attentive staff, gorgeous food, lush beer, banging music and doggo friendly! 🍻

Huge selection of craft ale from this rising brewery. Bar has great atmosphere with friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
A. G.
Awesome place with so many different beers to choose from. Excellent food and a great place for a night out with your mates!
N. G.
All good. Lots of craft beer options & the food was excellent & good VFM
R. v. A.
Renowned craft beers and delicious burgers in the heart of Cardiff! Defo worth a visit
C. B.
Good selection of Tiny Rebel beers, but perhaps a little disappointed that there didn't appear to be anything new and exciting on tap. Did manage to try something I hadn't had before from the fridge.
g. h.
Great beer selection, as you would expect, the food was top notch too.
S. W.
Love it and so does the dog! Great beer, great burgers (lots of vegan options) and lovely staff.
L. H.
Lovely welcome and great beers at Tiny Rebel. Nice to have a real ale pub so conveniently located in the centre of Cardiff.
J. D.
Great beer, great settings, could of been 5 star but the service wasn't good at the bar, customers stood waiting for drinks while staff were on laptops.
R. T.
Finally went heavy to tiny revel and was pleased to find out they still have amazing vegan options (always get 12 seitan wings, you won't regret it) and they're also dog friendly!
Z. I.
Great vibe and a wide variety of craft beers. I can't comment on the food as I haven't had any. Very close to Cardiff castle.
T. D. S.
The ales are fantastic and plentiful with loads to choose from. Unfortunately, the actual venue seems very dirty and definitely has a terrible smell which wasn't very pleasant. Staff are super friendly and helpful though. I found the side of the building facing the main road full of closed windows which is a shame as it would be much better to have that side all open. 5 stars for the ale!
S. M.
Awesome selection of beer, brilliant staff. Great ambience. Good food.
Gets very busy at popular times but able to book a table easily via website & staff very helpful with relocating people table occupied on arrival.
R. S. F.
The staff welcomed us quite quickly and we were seated within minutes. They brought a bowl of water over for my friends puppy without being prompted, the food was amazing and extremely good value. We will 1000% be back soon!
S. D.
After hearing such great things, we were a little disappointed. We went on a Sunday and didn't know until we got there that there was a Sunday menu so only 2 burger choices so FYI if you go on a Sunday, they roast dinner did look nice though! The topped fries were delicious though and huge so 1 portion between 2 is ideal but the burgers come with fries anyway. The chicken burger was really dry which was a shame. It was ok but I personally wouldn't rush back, which is a shame as we had hyped it up so much to our friends we went with.
T. L.
Really nice bar serving a great selection of beers, good atmosphere
N. X.
Definitely worth while a trip for a pint or three. Would definitely recommend some of the more 'out there' beers. Seating is a little bit awkward, not particularly comfortable, all in all would maybe only go for a quick pint again in future.
T. J.
Been going here for years and there's a reason! Great beers from IPAs to Stouts. Burgers are delicious, great place to meet up to start the day and line the stomach! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
J. S.
Was here during Wales v Italy match, luckily had ex-worker and managed to get tables for viewing too. Excellent location and solid food!
W. F.
Really nice beer and atmosphere, but food is really lacklustre for the price. I had the jerk chicken dirty fries and the jerk sauce was pretty flavourless and gelatinous. It was food akin to a chain pub and very disappointing, especially given that we waited 45min for it. However, totally delicious beer!
D. C.
Did not book a table so we had a barrel. It was interesting to try the different flavours but I guess you have to like ale to be able to drink it lol friendly staff
l. T.
I most probably have about 4 or 5 drinks a year but a friend told me and I had to call in and try it. I had a jam donut ale and it was very interesting. Will have to call in again some time to try the other flavours.
P. M.
I like Tiny Rebel beer 🍺 and food was really nice too but I can't ignore a few things I was disappointed about. I understand it was half Marathon weekend, and there were more customers. My wife was driving back home, there was nothing but water for her to drink. No soft drinks, no non-alcoholic beers, and not coffees. Seriously, that wasn't good. I'm not going to change my rating and I will visit again.
N. N.
Attentive and friendly staff, a great selection of their beers and a pleasant comfort-food focused menu. If you’re looking for a fun and chill drinking or drinking and dining experience, then I would definitely recommend.
R. C.
Not enough variety available on tap. They only ever seem to have a subsection of the core beers on tap plus Peloton. Would love to see new beers available but if you want anything different to the standard few core beers you have to get it in cans only, which I could just order online.
B.
Cool bar. Good choice of food and a fantastic choice of T.R beer.
S.
Loads of good brews & really friendly welcoming atmosphere.
C. R.
I typically don’t leave many reviews, but I felt compelled to for Tiny Rebel. While on holiday, I went in on a Thursday after dinner for a couple drinks, based on a suggestion from a friend. The two beers I had were fantastic, the space was great, but most importantly, Chiara (sp?), one of the bartenders was above & beyond warm. They let me try a couple options, so I could choose what I would like most. As a solo female, they also kindly checked in on me a couple times to make sure I was doing well and felt safe. I would return to Tiny Rebel any time I’m in Cardiff, and highly recommend them
P. F.
Seeking Tiny Rebel and guest beers - all excellent quality. Bar located just off high street and opposite Millennium stadium. Food available, but I didn't try it.
c. B.
Most staff were very friendly and welcoming but when served food by one member of staff the comments that were made where very rude when asked about the food provided. Will come back again and highly recommend but some staff need to learn customer service skills
C. C.
Absolutely fabulous, tasty , piping hot , Sunday dinner , in fact it was so good
M. K.
A busy atmosphere today however still a great atmosphere. A good range if drinks but wish there was a drinks menu to study to take advantage of this.
M. H.
Good atmosphere and beer. I got served quickly and enjoyed a peach pavlova beer.We also had a tasty burger and chips.
C. P. (.
We couldn't come to Wales without a visit to Tiny Rebel, having previously enjoyed so many of their beers in the past. We were not disappointed. Best burger and chips we've ever had and excellent value. Beer is not the cheapest, nor is it there most expensive, but it is different and original. Looking forward to visiting the brewery tomorrow...
A. B.
Love the range of beers and the decor.
Favourites were Pump Up The Jam and a Chocolate Fudge Brownie Stout that I cannot remember the name of.
G.
Nice Craft Beer Bar... Great Selection Of Tiny Rebel Brews & Alternatives!
Great Location In The City, Helpful Team Who Understand The Craft Beer Revolution & Can Assist With Your Driving Journey!
Great Decor With Bar Art & Ample Seating! Industrial Vibe With A Laid Back Atmosphere! Check This Place Out & Be A Rebel!!! 👍👍👍
T. K.
Stopped off for a few after a long train trip. I'm a craft beer fan so I may be biased but, great beer, great staff, great pub in general as always 😊
G. W.
Went after the Wales v Ukraine match. Decent beers and a good atmosphere. Liked the layout and the decor
T. H.
Great service and plenty of room in the place. Love the beer selection here but the donut burger just topped it off for me - absolutely delicious! If you're on the fence about trying it, just do it. You won't be dissapointed!
O. B.
Great place with a friendly staff, tasty looking food (we did not order) and good variety of beers and ciders
C. T.
In a great location, really large venue with cool art on the walls. The beer selection is amazing, a lot of tasty ones. The food is also really good & large portions for a good price. The staff is friendly & helpful. Also a few different things going on upstairs.
N. F.
Staff are professional and attentive. Fantastic selection of beers. Love it!
H. T.
Toilets are disgusting can smell the male toilet as you walk up the stairs. Just makes you think the place is not hygienic. Horrible.
I. M.
Amazing food and delicious beer as well as lovely staff and a great atmosphere. 10/10!
S. B.
Great beer. Reasonable prices. Very good location. Highly recommended for beer lovers. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. Also they often so Wriggle deals and so you can get a burger and a pint for a tenner! Probably my favourite place in Cardiff.
s. b.
Amazing place, so many different ipa beers and the food is great, staff was so friendly
J. W.
Nice and clean food, lots to choose from, and they also serve there own alcohol, which i didnt try, seating arrangements felt cramped and "school dinnery", needs a refresh on the inside to match the decent food.
J. C.
Good range of beers, including several guest breweries besides Tiny Rebel. Lots of Tiny Rebel options on cask and can, with enough to suit all tastes. Personally I'd say some of the beers come under the novelty category and tend towards too sweet but they have enough staple options that you don't feel forced to drink a pint that you don't want. Friendly bar staff and great service, and happy to offer tasters for all the cask options.
Also some interesting merchandise and take out options that set it apart from your typical bar.
J. H.
Fab pub. Great beer and friendly team. Well worth a visit but worth booking a table. Good food too!
O. H.
Nice bar and good selection of beers, very helpful staff.
D. K.
Excellent beer selections and food was fantastic
A. S.
Was very busy, but it was a Friday night so no issue. Was disappointed there wasn't any of the interesting Stay Puft beers on. Was hoping for some sort of gingerbread edition. Regardless, was still cool and will try out the other locations at some stage
L. M.
My fave pub to drink. Friendly staff and relaxing vibes. If you like IPA beer...tiny rebel is the place to come.
R. S.
Great selection of Sunday roasts! I had the seitan roast and it was delicious and the others looked great too. Huge plates!
R. R.
Beer here is tasty and the vibe of the place is great but food is so so disappointing - it’s mediocre pub food but probably a bit worse. We got redirected a lot around the pub and wanted to leave but they did end up finding a table for us to sit at. At that point, some orders were mixed up and the whole chaos of it all set us off on a bad note for our first hour in Wales. Lots can be improved at this establishment.
A. B.
Wow what a place great beer and atmosphere, don't be put off because its on an industrial estate. We walked a round trip of seven miles to visit and was so good we had to do it again. Food was excellent and numerous beers on tap if you like beer you will love it and if you don't like beer I am sure you will after your visit. lots of cider to try also. Service was very prompt and staff had an interest and knowledge about what they were selling.
D.
Awesome Cardiff city centre venue with always extensive selection of craft beer & cider + good selection of hearty food from great beefy burgers to quite a bit of vegan choices. Even better that it's one of the few dog friendly venues in Cardiff city centre & great welcoming staff 😎
K. H.
Martin the doorstaff went above and beyond to help my friend, the staff were friendly as always. The beer is great. My go-to when I'm in the city center.
D. W.
The intereor decor left a little to be desired, though I think that's the look they were going for. You go to eat and drink, not discuss intereor design. The burgers come with fries and an extra portion of dirty fries do not need to be ordered... Though they were delicious and all was eaten. Food was all tasty, however knocking a star off for it being a shade under the temperature I would expect. Good city location, right opposite the stadium on Westgate Street though would probably be busy on match days.
A. W.
Great beer, great food & great atmosphere... 5*
H.
Incredible range of craft beers. Burgers are amazing too, their tater tots are to die for. Would definitely revisit.
R. L.
The beer and food was great. However, we had to wait for over an hour and then once we finally got it after asking about it, were told we only had 10 minutes left on the table.
J. R.
Great pub, great staff and an impressive selection of drinks!! Can't wait to visit again
M. M.
Love tiny rebel! THE place to visit for unique and tasty brews. Food is amazing too.
T. T. P. B.
We performed here recently for a private function.
The venue has a compact function room good for small/medium parties, with a separate bar, the stage area for bands or performers with its own house PA system, a well stocked bar with helpful and friendly staff!
This function room really does represent 5 star value for money!
This is the second time performing for a function at Tiny Rebel and we hope to return again soon!
Don’t forget to try one of the locally brewed in Newport Tiny Rebel beers/lagers! Fantastic quality and tasty pints! 🍺
10/10 from The Trends Party Band!
T. S.
The absolute best selection of amazing beer I've ever seen and tasted. Got to try plenty that either wasn't available in the shops or I just flat out didn't know existed! Bar staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Food was excellent. Decor and atmosphere was spot on. Brucie bonus was being able to vape inside. 10/10, would live here if I could 🍻
A. D.
A fabulous little taproom in the heart of Cardiff bang opposite the Principality stadium
Y. H.
Hipsters bar over three floors, plenty of beers and porter's on offer.gets busy on weekends
M. H.
Great pub. Good selection of beer and cider and a good menu
Y. K.
Great place with many beers and ciders, also great for watching sport matches with friends)
D. S. M. A. L.
Great pub and nice Ales, great for a office hangout
N. W.
What a great bar. Atmosphere, good selection of beer and friendly staff. Nice 😎
A. R.
Visit this place pretty much every time I'm in Cardiff. If you like good beer, this has to be on your list of places to go.
M. S.
Great pub, great night out. Before Tiny Rebel owed this pub it was previously a great pub so nothing has changed. Therefore after the game I would head straight over to celebrate the win or just drown your sorrows.
D. W.
Visited Cardiff for the weekend and headed straight here for beer sampling. There's a wealth of choice on tap and in the fridge. Fridge pricing is good too and there's offers on multiple buys too.
T. w.
Enjoyed our visit today, the food looked great! But just came for a beer. Lovely staff extremely busy with a general crowd so if your not a craft beer fan you can still find a drink for you.
M. L.
Fantastic beer, and even better food! I had the dirty South burger and I can't wait to try the others!
C. M.
Lovely staff, great beers, fab wings
N. J.
Great beer, but lacked atmosphere hence why 4*
D. B.
Beer and food were excellent and so was the majority of service. Had a nasty experience in which my group were assigned a table and then were rudely ejected from said table by a bouncer about 15 minutes later.
This situation put a bad taste in the mouth. Staff were great for the most part however security need to take a look at themselves as it was purely unprofessional.
J. A.
Nice craft ales and good selection of them. Bit on the pricy side but definitely worth going in
D. C.
Great spot with a deceptive amount of space. Great range of their own beers as well as guest cask, craft and cider to boot. Staff and door supervisors were friendly and helpful. Felt the prices were just about right and the atmosphere was warm
Z. T.
Good range of beer as you would expect. Pretty decent atmosphere not full to the brim. 70/80/90's rock being played... Bar staff lovely... Door staff a bit intense and miserable, but I suppose its to be expected 😂
C. Q.
Exemplary service, polite staff. Food took a while to arrive, but it was busy so this is understandable. When it did arrive it was excellent, I honestly don't think I've eaten anywhere better in all of Cardiff. The atmosphere was cosy, despite how full and loud the place was.
Please note, while I am not yet legally allowed to buy alcohol, I was still fine ordering from their non-alcoholic menu, which is extensive.
All in all a fantastic experience on a Saturday evening.
P.S. Portion sizes are on the large size - quite deliberately, and it works - but make sure to plan accordingly.
B.
Had the Rebel loaded fries! So fricking tasty! Lager was pretty good too
S. L.
Good local beer, city pub atmosphere. They don't take cash anymore so keep that in mind if you're a cash person. Quite pricey at circa £5 a pint.
A. A.
Awesome drink selection. Bartenders really friendly and helpful considering my wife's selectiveness on beers. Discovered probably one of my favorite drinks ever here, Snails Bark pinneapple and grapefruit cider.
D. H.
As a fan of Tiny Rebel this pub is amazing. The duck and hoisin pizza was bloody brilliant. The cask ale was flippin' ace. Definitely visit here when in Cardiff.
B. F.
I'm not in the target demographic for Tiny Rebel ...l'm too old and uncool. It's the beer l go for though, and the Saltaire Triple Choc was lovely.
V.
Nice selection of food and booze, what more do you need 👌
D. M.
It would have been 5 * but had issues with their app which caused me some issues. Also there was no one monitoring the entrance to seat people at tables. When a table in from became free we took the initiative. Apart from that the chicken and beef (hot) burgers were superb. Staff as friendly and as efficient as ever. Beers and lager were top notch as ever.
J. P. L.
Great place and great selection of beer
Z. M.
Great place for the 6 nations. Should be paying their staff more than minimum wage with how much they must take on game day though.
K. S.
Great place with a good vibe, but the beer is a bit watery (in general)
L. H.
Quality beers in a no-frills, ‘urban’ setting. Great central location.
N. H.
Great pub, superb beers. Great to have Tiny Rebel in Cardiff.
D. W.
Great bat, lively atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic food and a great range of beers
G. H. (. &. P. G.
Great find this was great beers and excellent staff. Worth a visit.
A. S.
My favourite watering hole of all of Cardiff. Will definitely go to see a man about a dog here every time I visit our Capital.
N. H.
Awesome bar just off the centre of Cardiff. Their ales are top of the line that match up with their funky branding. The service was great and staff friendly, especially with the covid restrictions. Well ventilated. Order beer and food on the app. And the cool merch too.
The venue is ace too. An old building with huge ceilings and separate rooms.
C. P.
Great beers, decent food menu, great staff and a beautiful building. Recommended.
M. C.
Great bar showcasing some of the best Welsh craft beer. Staff are friendly and always on hand to recommend and advise.
M. S.
Great selection of drinks, singly staff and fantastic location. Very popular with students. Always a pleasant visit.
A. M.
Loved it. Nice and chilled and the beer is fantastic. Reasonable prices as well
C. C.
great atmosphere and good selection of their beers
M. E.
Pretty decent, if you like that kind of thing
R. V.
Decent pub grub and drinks. Good atmosphere!
L. S.
Fantastic range of beers and quality staff
M. T.
Best beer, love coming to Cardiff for this place alone. Little bit rock bar, got a footy screen and food is greasy but good.
J. W.
Great beer, good atmos.
S. G.
What a fantastic place, a huge selection of beers, a hugely knowledgeable staff who will guide you to the best drink for you. A must visit
K. B.
Busy bar with a great selection of the brewery's products. Note no cash but we found the app easy to use and the order was promptly delivered to our table. Takeaway options are available.
R. S.
Great food and beer - definitely a favourite.
P. A.
Busy place with a great atmosphere. Food looks amazing, great variety of drinks.
J. C.
Love Tiny Rebel. The staff are lovely, the food and drinks are amazing.
E. s.
Wanted to come for quite some time as love Tiny Rebel but was a bit disappointed, it doesn't match up to the Newport tap room, quite a few things were off and it felt like a bit of a scuzzy pre-club pub which is a shame when their beers are so great.
G. I.
Came to Cardiff for Tiny Rebel, brilliant bar for those that enjoy beer with a bit of atmosphere
S. E.
Very nice place, loads of different kind of beers. Waitresses very kind. We were given to taste some of the beers before ordering. Highly recommended. Own beer brand.
P. J.
Excellent bar with more beers than you can imagine, very unique surroundings and uber cool. Loved it, will definitely return when we visit Cardiff again.
T. R.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff. I would have hoped for a bit more choice on tap and the venue is shabby without the chic, I prefer the Newport bar.
H. D.
Always a great atmosphere and amazing beers on tap!
i. e.
The beer here is delicious. Not been before but gave a go based on reviews. Will be back.
J. B. (.
Love Tiny Rebel, great brewers, lovely friendly bar.
M. J.
Cannot recommend this place enough. We've always loved the food and a drink but after the second lockdown me and my partner booked a table for food and drinks at 9pm. When we for there we asked why we couldn't order food on the app and were told that the kitchen closes at 9. We explained that we booked a table for food on the app for 9pm and they could not have been more apologetic. They initially offered us free chips and dip with our drinks which we accepted. Then the actual chef came our apologising for the misunderstanding and offering free chips and vegan nuggets. The chips and nuggest were delicious and the staff, including the chef were very attentive and made sure we 100% happy with the food (which we were). Food, service and quality is always 5 stars. Would recommend to anyone
A. P.
Excellent selection of in-house craft beers and craft beers made nearby in the UK. A must for any beer lover visiting Cardiff!
B. N.
Top Sunday dinner and the staff are grand. As always top beers too.
D. T.
Had a great meal with a few friends.
We booked a table as per current rules.
We arrived and gave our names and were taken to our table.
The venue was very organised and I felt safe with the social distancing rules put in place.
Our option were to order from the website via our phones. I loved that we didn't have to que.
Food ordered was great
Drink options were small but decent for what I wanted.
Prices were good
Music was questionable
The only issue we had was we had to send some drinks back as the glasses were dirty. No ideal in pandemic.
S. D.
Great location, fantastic beers, too many to name a favourite. The food was excellent too, hoisin chicken strips were out of this world! Booking is a must under current covid rules.
M. A.
Amazing food selection! Heavily suggest nachos
N. D.
Nice selection of craft beers and lovely decor
E. H.
Beautiful burger, hoisin chicken strips and dirty fries. Staff were friendly and efficient. Dog friendly as well, which is a huge plus.
M. B.
Great selection of craft beer, fun events (check their listings for karaoke and pub quiz) the best Sunday roast in Cardiff, open every night 'til 2am!
P. W.
Always a pleasure to have a few drinks here, clean tidy and welcoming. Consistently good even if the craft element of the bar is slightly more on the tacky side of what's considered acceptable.
S. M.
Tasty beer, interesting building, good barstaff
A. J.
Really enjoy tiny rebel. Good beer and brilliant vegan junk food when your feeling like you want something like that. And all at a reasonable price! Especially if your sick of the only vegan options bring £9 for beans on toast, or chickpea and sweet potato curry
C. R.
Brilliant! Good food and good atmosphere. Food is slightly pricey but once you’ve seen the portion sizes you won’t complain!
H. W.
Popped in for a late night pint before heading home. Service was quick and enthusiastic; easy to order online and delivered to the table. We sat upstairs where the atmosphere was a bit lacking otherwise nothing to report.
J. T.
Well kept beer and good service despite being a very busy Saturday evening. The Citra / Mosaic milkshake iPa were rather nice!
A. S.
Great beer selection, friendly staff, good food.
A. B. Y.
Not even a craft beer fan, but this bar has excellent service and a wonderful vibe. Very friendly staff who guide you through the options. Visited in the afternoon, so was not too packed. The staff served everyone as quickly as possible and didn't miss anyone waiting around. Love the gritty interior and old arcade machines. A lovely chap at the bar even helped with finding local food and recommending where to go next. Thank you and wish you guys the best. Cheers :)
D. L.
Great selection of beers and ciders in a chilled out place with friendly staff.
A. W.
Overall good, but the food was a bit too fatty. Tasty though
L. B.
Super quick service when using the app. Enjoyed just having little 1/3 pint tasters to try a bit of everything. Burger wasn't bad either
w. k. (.
Very good beer. "welcome to the party pal" was a very nice surprise. Some interesting menu choices and pretty tasty also. Friendly staff and the place has a upstairs and backroom... So you know it can get packed on a weekend or before a match... It's a stones throw from the stadium.
A. H.
Friendly staff, great range of well kept beer and cider and decent pub food. What's not to love?
A. T.
Love the beer. Great system of making plenty of space downstairs for events in the stadium, and they had great tunes and space to dance! But then still plenty of space to sit upstairs. Go every time I'm in Cardiff and never let down.
A. J.
Love Tiny Rebel. Tried 10 different varieties and all have been fantastic 😍
A. M.
Really good food and beers available.
G. T.
Really good diversity of home beers.
S. C.
My go to place when out for a few in town. Extensive drink selection ranging from the inexpensive daily offers. Live lounge always has good bands on acoustic and electric. Give it a go and you won't be let down. Really great atmosphere with people of all ages dancing and having fun. Felt very safe with pleasant and reassuring security staff.
K. H.
A bit rough & ready, but I loved it coz of the ace beers. Wish I didn't have to drive, could have stayed for ages & drunk many more!
A. F.
Came here to watch the Superbowl. Had an awesome time! Beer was brilliant, and there was a special late menu available for those staying up for the game. Really clean, plenty of space and lots of staff so no wait at the bar.
Fantastic
D. M.
Great staff freindly doormen, not too expensive
M. S.
Craft beer fan? This is your spot. Regularly rotated selection of beers to meet any taste and need.
C. H.
Not bad selection of drinks and quick and easy ordering via their app. Social distancing measures a little inconsistent however with door staff being quite forceful about people complying, to the extent it spoilt the atmosphere
T. G.
Good beer and food. Funky atmosphere because of covid, but they dealt with it well, and the safety measures were good. Accommodating staff let us know we could extend our slot because there were no further bookings.
J. H.
Nice variety of beers, largers and unusual ales. Surroundings not to everyone's taste, but they tend to match the company I usually keep 🤓
A. P.
This is a great pub. They always stock a lovely selection of beers both by Tiny Rebel themselves and guest ales. The decor is a bit minimalist but your not really coming here to enjoy the wallpaper, your here to enjoy some beer!
Staff are knowledgeable, really nice and will explain various beers should you ask. They serve food, it's of a good standard. It is ten or so minutes walk from Cardiff Central train station, there is a decent bus service.
B. T.
Good beer and music. Good selection of food too. Staff excellent. Unfortunately I drank too much 😪
I. M.
Me and my partner had a great time. We booked a table (a two hour slot) for our first date night since before lockdown. The food was amazing, we had the cheese pizza (fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and pesto), some battered pickles (delicious) and some fries. We would've loved to get their bbq wings as we've had them before and cant get over how good they are however they were sold out. As always, theres a great selection of beer. My partner had the Tropicana which is a very nice fruity IPA and I had the Key Lime Lager which does exactly what it says on the tin. Some things are quite pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. We felt the staff took the necessary precautions with masks, keeping distant and wiping down surfaces, the place was very clean, service was fast, the music was funky and on the hot day that we went the air conditioning was much welcomed! Only problem was that the two hours were up too quickly! Will definitely be going again.

Cool place with nice Tiny Rebel beers.
A. T.
Great booze, great atmosphere, ideal location.
J. R.
Fantastic spot with great beers and food!
M. T.
Look, this is not your “rustic pub” vibe, so if that’s what you’re after, keep moving. It’s a little on the grungy side and a bit of a watering hole. But the selection of beers and ciders are the crowning glory. You may be standing a lot and your feet might stick to the floor on a busy night, but you’ll always have a great time. The music is super and the live gigs are worth keeping an eye on (outside corona-ville, naturally).
S. B.
Good to finally get to a Tiny Rebel bar after drinking so many of their beers, probably not a great thing as they had nothing there that we hadn't already had 😁
W. S.
Awesome bar, brilliant place with fantastic staff. Had a lovely can of Citra Incognito, hopoy, light on the citra, 10/10
G. S.
A great pub that has a ton of ever changing real ales with a few regulars of their own brand. Good music and great atmosphere make this a regular haunt for me. Upstairs has a room for hire for those office or birthday parties. Food there is also good with a range of burgers and pizzas etc.
V. W.
Went in on the off chance to see/hear some live music. Great new band playing (sleep outside) venue was busy but staff very well organised.
H. D.
Tiny Rebel's Cardiff Bar is certainly very popular. It's an easy casual place with lots of beers available. And I believe the food is pretty good.
On the downside, it can be very noisy and it's not that comfortable trying to have a conversation and nearly all the beers are of the pale/sharp/fruity/sour crafty sort. (Ordering through the app it was hard to find anything I really wanted to drink, although there were some things available that weren't on the app.)
S. W.
Great selections of drinks from their own local brewery and from other breweries. Food is also really good. Went back twice during our trip to Cardiff as we enjoyed trying the drinks so much.
P. T.
Visited there as part of a brewery tour. Excellent selection of real ale craft beers. Good atmosphere and bar staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they were selling. Offered a sample any craft beer you wanted to try before purchasing. Well worth a visit.
n.
Best brewery in Wales and one of the best in the uk, food here is really good as well and the bar itself is nice with a decent atmosphere
N. P.
Great beet, covid safe and the order app is pretty simple to use. Very convenient, just remember to book as it is a popular establishment which means they are doing something right
S. S.
You will never be short of something new to drink in this place, the brewery are pushing boundaries without losing the plot. By that I mean if you want a traditional tasting beer you can get one, but if you want a beer that tastes like a jam donut you can get one as well! The staff have always been superb while I have been there, the only problem I have ever found with the place is it can be hard to get a seat. Guess that's a good problem to have though 😀
R. M.
Well what can I say? This place is a favorite haunt, which serves a large range of varying types of craft beer. The Rebel also offers many food options.
The atmosphere is eclectic and is frequented by many clientele. Several rooms are available for hire and meets capacity without discomfort.
Highly recommended!
C. N.
Great venue, great beers!
G.
Great venue. Lovely place to see bands play. Staff were friendly, food was good
G. g. T.
Lovely place, great food and atmosphere.
j. c.
Love it.Beer excellent and staff top of their profession.
N. W.
Always a great spot to grab a beverage. Good selection of their own and guest beers both keg and cask.
They serve standard pub fare in the evenings (burgers etc) which is certainly nicer than your 3663 or brakes bros basics.
Conveniently placed near both the station and the stadium, definitely the best choice for a drink before hopping on a train or before/after a game.
D. D.
Had such an amazing night here, great beer and a good vibe. The staff were really helpful, I'm very particular about me beer and it was apparent that they knew what they were talking about. One member of staff in particular called Lizzy was so helpful and really knew what she was talking about (while some of the staff were just leaning on the bar talking amongst themselves) , thanks for an awesome night Lizzy we couldn't have done it without you!
S. S.
Great choice of beers & ciders!
C. R.
Great bar with wide selection of craft beer and cider. Food is good - recommend the burgers
G. P.
A good selection of beers but the place could seriously do with a good clean, the windows at the front are bogging! Not much has changed since it opened and it could do with a bit of a design update and a revamp. It's in a prime location and is used by regular clientele and visitors to the city so is usually very busy, but there is so much more they could do with the place if they had more of a vision. It's very easy to rest on ones laurels!
I. D.
A bit grungy but the beer is banging and the staff are amazing
H. S.
The beer can be a bit hit and miss as to what's on tap at anytime, but then that's the same with any craft place! Had a few members of staff be rude/pretty uninterested but mostly good experiences here! The food is pretty decent, only get the pizza if you like thick dough and flour though...
O. L.
This pub is one of the reasons for our visit to Cardiff. We like the Tiny Rebel beer and this is possibly the best place to drink it. In addition to tiny rebel beers there is also a good choice of other beers. The food menu seems very intriguing however we had other plans for food. We really liked the atmosphere music.
C. R.
Best pub in Cardiff, own brand beers are excellent and you can often find gems amongst the guest beers. Food is also great. Best to come on a weekend night when it's a little quieter IMO.
M. J.
Trendy bar. Great selection of ales and other drinks. I’ve taken one star off as for me personally the lager and cider i tried was horrible. Not for me at all. My friends said they enjoyed the drinks so just my personal taste!
H. I.
Amazing choice of beers, several seating areas and good staff. Definitely recommended.
M. D.
Good selection of beer, not much atmosphere on a Wednesday
D. B.
Nice place. Dogs allowed. Food is mainly Mexican. Different types of craft beers are good
M. S.
Good bar. Really good, interesting beers. Will visit again 👍
M. P. G.
Tiny Rebel are reliable for great craft beers. This location highlights them well and in a large and fun environment. Love the artwork from the ales all over the walls! It's also on a street with other great bars adding to the overall vibe.
J.
Staff vary between the obnoxiously hipster who strive to argue/prove that they know the most (p.s. You don't) and the hyper friendly, true lovers of craft beer.
I spend my life in craft beer places, there are much more knowledgeable bar staff in the near vicinity, who are 10x as friendly.
Its a shame, Tiny Rebel to me is an awesome brand in the entry level craft beer market, I truly dig their beers, and some of the staff are so friendly and get the vibe with the market. Why they've employed some knobs is beyond me... Hopefully by the time you visit they'll be gone
I. s.
Quality beer great atmosphere
J. J.
Great place, amazing craft beers. They let us try quite a lot when we asked nicely. Also amazing food, which is very suitable for vegetarians. Wish we had a place like that in my home town, and that is comimg from a german...
A. E.
Excellent food and some of my favorite beers. Had to visit on a recent trip to Cardiff!
H. D.
Nice Ale... Most of it anyway. Lager was good. Gin and Whiskey was good. Can't remember what else I had to drink after consuming several of the previously mentioned drinks but I'm sure the quality of beverage didn't decline through the night unlike my ability to talk and walk...
S. N.
I'm going against the populist grain with this but frankly this bar (not the beer) is massively overrated in my opinion. As a venue on a Friday/Saturday it's OK, very loud and busy but you can often find a seat surprisingly. Just the layout around the main bar is tight and a bit annoying to get round to the main seating areas and the decor is a bit naff. Service can be very slow at times. I appreciate the fact it's open late though.
My main issues with is more the cleanliness; Numerous times people I know have a been quite sick from both food (non-cooked food items left on bar not covered properly all day in a warm environment) and the beer here. Having run a large venue years ago my main compliant is how often the lines seem to have not been cleaned properly and the taste left in the beer and a likely explanation for sickness, albeit this was quite some time ago. Another factor, is it's overpriced frankly (particularly bottles) for what it is and a more personal dislike is the hipster crowd. Basically it's a bit like going to a Brewdog in south London about 5+ years ago.
Overall it's not bad; it's just in my opinion distinctly average to good at best. But it did have an OK arcade machine round the back and the Tiny Rebel beer is generally fairly good as well.
G. L.
Great beers, try the Cwtch!
l. s.
Stopped by on my way in and out of Cardiff over the weekend. Great Staff, beers, and food. Everything was very calm and efficient.
D. H.
Really nice place and great selection of craft ales/beers. Only let down was the barrel we were seated at wasn't cleaned before hand as there was remains of food from a previous sitting and the seating got uncomfy pretty quickly but all the ales we tried were very good
R. J.
Our burlesque troupe had a wonderful time performing here. Their food is lovely (generous with the chips!) and the staff are incredibly supportive! Would love to work with them in the future :3
D. R.
Amazing beers, great pub
M. D.
Great bar, huge selection of craft beers and ciders. Food is amazing - the vegan section is good (though I still haven't tried their seitan burger as they were sold out). Atmosphere is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. A recommended place to hang out.
P. W.
Trendy without being pretentious, buzzing atmosphere, and great beer at reasonable prices. Top service too, and for once an ordering app which didn't take an age!
J. G.
Great beer diversity. Good selection of food options.
G. B.
Very good. Great staff. Ambience. Location. And amazing shots. Perfect place to end the night 💃
C. P. (. M.
Great little place. The beer/cider was lush. Service was quick.
Loved the back room, we ended up taking over it most nights we were there!
Didn't have a chance to try the food, but it looked tasty as I passed by.
J. B.
Great venue with awesome beer. They've a great food menu too. Two rooms, one with a communal dining sorta feel and lots of retro games spotted about the place. Biggest appeal for me the huge selection of craft ales, cask, draught and bottled.
S. C.
Great when the music was turned down. The beer selection was of course brilliant. Initially the music was way to loud could hardly hear myself let alone my fellow drinkers. When it was turned down the whole evening became much more sociable
P. N.
You've think you've been to all the amazing micro breweries ? Think again. Tiny rebel is the best . randomly choose a beer - they're all good. Kick back and enjoy. Try and sample as many as you can before you lose the feeling in your legs, and head home, satisfies you've had another killer day .
N.
Organised a big group Christmas party here. To be honest we were fairly difficult customers, but the staff were always super helpful and the event was perfect. Most of all, the buffet food was excellent - everyone was super happy. Thanks
T. P. S. T.
Not tried the food but went for the beer instead. Tiny Rebel is a really good brewery. They serve excellent beers and are always of a good quality. What makes this bar special is it serves more than their own beers. Fridges are full of different and unique bottles and there are lots of other brewery beers on tap. It is small and can get very loud but Tiny Rebel have got the idea of what a real ale bar should be.
B. G.
Excellent and busy bar with a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. Based on (admittedly somewhat limited) interactions, the bar staff seem knowledgeable and are certainly amicable. It's not cheap but it's very competitively priced in comparison to other bars on the same street (Zero Degrees/ Brewdog - I'm looking at you). It also holds occasional events and music nights. Recommended.
J. P.
Fantastic comedy night at Tiny Rebel..all brilliant comedians and compered by the very entertaining comedian Steffan Evans.
S. S.
Large bustling craft ale bar attracting a mostly young crowd. Exposed brick walls displaying graffiti gives the place an urban vibe. Can become very busy on weekends. The burgers are pretty good too.
J. H.
Excellent brewery beer & does tasty food at very reasonable prices. Although good food, chips, onion rings and burgers were super greasy. Not everyone wants the extra fattyness but I'm sure it might help cure a hangover.
G. J.
Friendly bar serving local craft beer and a selection of guest beers.
The first bar from Tiny Rebel Brewery based in Newport. Serving a selection of craft beers from Stay Puft, a marshmallow porter to the award winning Red ale Cwtch.
Very laid back and friendly with a good selection of pub food on the menu. Impressively a decent selection of veggie/vegan food.
Highly recommended!!
P. B.
Great place to drink if you love craft beer
T. H.
This place is great if you wangt to try something different from all the usual beers everywhere sells. They do a selection of beers from Tiny Rebel Brewery in Newport, the staff are always friendly and they can recommend beers based on what you normally like. The burgers are good too.
M. N.
A lovely pub run by the Newport based Tiny Rebel brewery. Easily one of the best pubs near the Millennium Stadium (along with the City Arms opposite). If it looks busy don't be put off as it is large (so check the side room and upstairs).
Has a great selection of beer. Food is of the burger and chip variety.
E. C.
Have a drink in here every Monday and try to taste as many beers as I can before they get removed. If you appreciate a good beer in a unique setting. This is a definite visit, especially if you are a traveller looking to experience local beers.
A. C.
Multi-award winning beers from one of the best new breweries in Britain. A really cool bar, with a great selection of craft beers. Always has a good atmosphere. We'll worth a visit - try the Cwtch and Fubar!
R. H.
Love tiny rebel beer. It's one of my absolute favourites, top notch beer knowledge from the staff. Lost a couple of marks because the place is starting to look a little scruffy around the edges . I will always return for the beer!
L. H.
This is one of my favourite bars in Cardiff. The music, atmosphere and booze are good. My only problem is the vegan/vegetarian food is a bit bland and boring but I don't usually come here for food.
T. T.
Great choice of beer but music WAY TOO LOUD! Why have club-volume music in a pub? Why make people shout to friends sitting opposite them? You never see this in mainland Europe. A pub is not a club, it should be better than that.
S. G.
I usually drop by when in Cardiff for a few beers but this time had some burgers and boy were they good! I'd eat these every day if I could. If you double up your tummy is both happy and uncomfortably full...worth it!
K. R.
Good beer and decent food.
D. A.
Best brewery in the UK. Such a great variety of amazing beers. 5*
G. A.
Stunning pub. 5 stars for atmosphere and staggeringly great beer. I would suggest the burgers are only 3 stars though: slow, unimaginative, poor quality coleslaw and buns. But the overall experience was great
M. E.
Was looking for a place for beer and a vegan meal in cardiff and stumbled across this place. What a great bar! The food was absolutely great and I've always been a big fan of Tiny rebel beer.
I was drinking the Stay Pufft porter on cask. It is one of my favourite beers and to find it on cask was a bonus. I'd highly recommend the seitan burger. As someone who are meat until relatively recently I would suits the best burger I've eaten in many years! A match for any beef burger.
K. M. (. R. W. B.
Great range of craft beers and ales, and a tasty pub grub menu. I love the pizzas. I went there a few months ago and I had a pizza topped with tandoori chicken, onion bhaji and raita and it was amazing.
A. A.
Really nice beers. All the craft beers they do are good. We try the lager and the red ale.
The food is good, great burger and nice fries.
Is good to go with friends.
A. O.
Urban grunge feel to pub, not the place to ask for a daiquiri for the lady. That said, good variety of different unique flavour beers (eg: peaches and cream, mango and pineapple, raspberry jam, etc) so you have to give it a go. Does vegan food so that's a plus.
C.
I ordered the fish finger sandwich. The four fish fingers were actually too large to eat on a bun, which is a bonus for me. The fish was fresh and well battered. I enjoyed it. When I realized how good the fish was, I wished I had tried the burger. If I have time, I'll go back!
M. S.
Great Beer, great atmosphere
1. F.
Great bar with a great selection of beers
N. R.
Great beer and service 🍺
J.
Great beer and also the nicest staff you could hope for. Great place, well worth a trip.
J. M.
Really cool craft beer bar, nice atmosphere and good food with great beer. Fantastic range of Tiny Rebel beers on draft and bottles/cans.
Wings and halloumi fries are delicious but the hot sauce made with cwtch is no joke, very hot.
F. M.
Very jolly real ale bar in wonderful rambling building with lots of nooks and crannies. Generally boisterous and noisy with a predominantly young crowd, feels quite 'studenty'. Excellent, regularly-changing selection of craft ales from local, national and international breweries.
M. h.
Cardiff's best central watering hole, always lively but never edgy! A great selection of ales are available on rotation especially from their own brewery.... their 'stay puff' porter is the stuff of legend. And it's one of the few places in Cardiff where you can vape inside.
J. W.
Amazing craft beer, variety of guest beers, great food, superb atmosphere. Tiny Rebel have got it all just right!
S. I.
Awesome craft brewery. Their creations are everything but boring. They're all flavourful and quirky, yet refreshing. I'm waiting now for the Tiny Rebel pub to open in Paris.
I. P.
Great little(ISH) place. Amazing selection of beers to the point where we purchased take out. Good food albeit from a small selection, although not sure it warrants more. Recommended.
M. W.
Cool atmosphere, quirky interiors and nice music but beer itself didn't convinced me - very weak, with lack of flavour, and very pricey! Might be I did not have a luck this time. Will back for sure coz that spot become some kind of cult place on the map of Cardiff's drinking holes. Very crowdy on weekends! Nevertheless if You are in City must visit even just to take a stroll down iconic Womanby Street.
B. F.
One of the top the places in Cardiff to go for a wide selection of beer, ale and cider. Very knowledgeable staff who are usually very happy to give recommendations. The food is pretty good too!
D. M.
Great place great food great beer great staff! Dog friendly and Pebbles got so much attention she's defo going back x🐾
M. F.
Good food. Good beer.
R. F.
Music too loud to hear eachother, lovely place otherwise
N. R. W.
Petty approach from staff on this occasion.
Deciding that because of policy shutting door entry at 1am made that our party of 6 people were split into those that were inside could stay who had got a round of drinks only to find that 2 of our part not being allowed in after finishing a cigarette.
Very pretty behaviour with no flexibility
R. G.
A place for those who want to try something different than just regular beer from a shop, lovely but quite crowded place for non everyday experience. Also, it has two classic arcade game machines to have some fun while enjoying a drink.
P. B.
Great venue, always open late. Brilliant choice of beers on tap but don't ignore all the amazing bottles too. Food is good, especially the onion rings.
A. D.
Great selection of drinks very tasty ciders. Some questionable ales but that’s part of its charm I guess. Also hold gigs too a bit on the loud sound I must say but reminds me of the barfly where I used to go when I was like 15 so it has that nostalgia factor.
F. C.
Great pub, good choice of food and drink, be prepared to wait a long time for food ( it was good), service was friendly and helpful.
E. F.
Good service + following distancing measures really well. Beer is a great as ever, food is tasty + v generous portions. Try the seitan wings.
S. H.
Delicious beers and extremely helpful staff -- a fine establishment indeed
S. C.
Great atmosphere on Friday night to enjoy delicious Stay Puft marshmallow stout.
Couldn’t resist a return quieter visit on Sunday for Juicy before catching my train home from a great weekend in Cardiff
K. A.
Great little independent-style drinking spot. Great burgers and atmosphere
c. s.
I guess at the brewery tap you are going to get the largest range of the great Tiny Rebel beers. To sample as many as possible you can buy 1/3rd pints like what I did. All were in good condition. Fast junk food is available (e.g. Pizzas and burgers), but I did not try this so cannot comment on the quality. The pub is dog friendly and had good rock music playing during my visit. The clientele is mainly young and student type drinkers. I was surprised to find bouncers on the door on a Easter Sunday.
J. D.
Always good beer on tap and fairly priced.
R. J.
Great beer, and great staff with decent prices too!
B. H.
Massive selection of well kept beer. Lots of local / own brews and very friendly staff. Don't miss it if you're in Cardiff
J. M.
Only been here on match days as it's practically next to Principality Stadium entrance, but they do have a wide selection of beers. It's an issue getting served but to be expected! It is my preferred match day watering hole....
P. A.
Good beer as always! New Brown ale was very nice! They need to do it in bottles as well as draft though for people who don't live in Wales!
D. L.
Good bar with lots of delicious beers but all were of the light and hoppy variety. With so many different beers available to have no dark malty beer seems odd even in the summer.
C. M.
first time having food, went for the signature burger using a code via the wriggle app, a beer and a burger for 9.95. The burger was ridiculously tasty, and the chips were lovely too. I had the jam doughnut beer which was also nice.
A. R.
Great selection of beers and late night opening.
T. H.
Full disclosure: this review is from a real Tiny Rebel fanboy, though the fact that they have fanboys is testament to how good their beer is.
I really love this place. It's so laid back and nicely decorated with an unbeatable selection of beers and ciders. Tiny Rebel beers have a lot going on with a really complex taste. I couldn't be happier.
L. B.
Excellent beer as always 👍
B. K.
Great food and a large variety of good beer and real ales. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. They only serve food till 8pm so it's good to keep that in mind if you're planning to eat there.
J. O.
Love it here. Great drinks and food. However, the music is far too loud, far too early. Shouting across the table whilst you're eating at 7pm is not the one. Shame, otherwise brilliant
J. B.
So I don't know this place as tiny rebel. I know it as the urban tap house. Not sure what's with the Google maps confusion. But they do sell a lot of tiny rebel beer.
Anyways, it's a very popular craft beer bar that's a 1 minute walk from St Mary's Street which is a very busy street for nights out.
They sell a great selection of alcohol. You name the alcoholic beverage you like and I'm sure they'd impress you.
Quite a large venue. 2 floors, three sitting areas and also some outside seating.
Don't worry about looking for a drinks menu, just look up as it is all digital. I also hear they have incredible bar snacks and prepared food.
If you do like your ale, try Tiny Rebel's Dirty stop out.
The reason this didn't get five stars is because it's rather pricey.
S. K.
Great Tap for the Brewery, lots of options for the Ale and Craft Beer drinker. Good atmosphere and divers range of people. If your in Cardiff this is definitely worth a visit
F. D.
Great selection of drinks. Good place to go with mates if you want somewhere you can actually hear each other speak. Friendly staff and the events room upstairs is a great space for gigs and things
M. S. (.
big place. top beer. good food. missing a 5 star because could hugely benefit from a beer garden but not sure the surrounding building designs would allow for it.
also could benefit from a heavy jukebox but that's just me..
B. M.
Just wow, first time visit and it won't be my last. What an amazing range of drinks. Only got to sample a couple which were both excellent and staff were great. Back soon for more....
A. C.
Tremendous choice of beers and you can even take some away in a growler (flagon) if you want to. This bar isn't glamorous as they've opted for more of a distressed look but the staff are helpful and friendly when you're trying to pick from the huge selection.
I didn't eat here but they serve food and it looked good for whatever that is worth.
L. B.
Cool place with an up and a downstairs. The beer they had on tap was ok but I did expect better from this lot. Still, the staff are really nice and it's got a good vibe. Good bottles too.
H. K.
Fantastic range of beers and not overly priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. A table near us were eating, food looked and smelt lovely
M. M.
Great food, even better beer. A group of us went for a meal last week, and unfortunately the food wasn't where i'd hope it would be. However, we had a quick chat with the manager who was absolutely devastated. Both him and I knew this wasn't what Tiny Rebel was about, so he quickly rectified the situation by inviting us all back for another stab at it today. The food was timely and well cooked. Every one of us devoured our meals and all agreed that this we come to expect from such a great venue. Thanks to Darren and the team for sorting us out, and we will be back again in greater numbers
R. O.
They seem to of found their feet. When they first opened it was hard to pin the place down, but that seems to of passed now. A wide range of beer, ale, cider etc to be had. Always try first, as it can take a while to find out what you like. I don;t seem to get on with their award winning ales (Cwtch & Fubar), but I like their others - so give them a try first.
Try the burgers. Really underrated, and a lot better than many of the other places in Cardiff who are so-called specialists at making them.
C. U.
Really cool bar with quirky decor and some great craft beers on tap. Peaches and Cream and Jam Doughnut were just a few on offer. Great venue 👍
B. B.
Trendy, chic.
Plenty of booze to satisfy your tastebuds - from ales to lagers, ciders to scrumpies.
Lots of events taking place - attended a comedy night there (4th one so far, last Thursday of the month) and it was a great way to end a busy day, meet up with friends and have a good laugh (even if I was picked on for being French, but hey, it makes the experience more personal and fun)
A. C.
Great beer (as usual) and great service. I took some ex colleagues there from my Brewing days And they were impressed. Not easily impressed..so well done TR..
M. L.
Fabulous bar with a stunning range of incredible beers
D. C.
Great beer choice, friendly staff and a lot of room (there are tables upstairs too). Becomes completely inaccessible during rugby matches at the nearby whatever-it's-called-now stadium.
R. M.
Very helpful and friendly staff and a wicked selection of food and drinks made for a great night. I was a mess at work the next day.
D. J. (.
One of my fave pubs in Cardiff. Tiny rebels own beers are delicious. The Stay puft porter alone is unique Imo. They also serve excellent food and its a informal relaxed atmosphere.
D. N.
Great place for local beers and ales. Fantastic central location and opposite stadium. Now has decent bar food with a vegan menu to boot. Must visit for beer lovers.
L. T.
Very nice pub, with amazing art hanging from the walls and cheap but tasty food. Also, they have a very interesting variety of beers and ales with unusual flavours to choose from.
T. H.
Brilliant brewery and a brilliant taproom
R.
Loved it, staff could be abit friendlier but easy to put that aside to enjoy the beer
J. A.
Awesome beers and atmosphere, wish I lived closer!
R. S.
Very large selection of beers and ciders. Staff are always very eager to explain and help you choose. Only issue is the price of some brews but I guess it's part of the trend
J. E.
Superb, a really great addition to the Cardiff pub scene.
L. F.
Good selection of beers and some nice food on the menu. Bit of a shame you can't drink outside of the pub on a nice day, particularly when it's sunny.
L. T.
Excellent bar. The beer choice is fantastic, the burgers ace and staff friendly. The atmosphere is good and I can't ask for any more than that. I'll be back....
S. H. M.
Nice bar, good selection of beers & other drinks, slightly random but good music policy! Quite loud but you can just about make yourself heard.
R. T.
Love tiny rebel beer so I thought we'd check this place out, the beer was great as always but it was quite busy however it was the Friday before Christmas so it had to be expected, the staff where great and have great recommendations
P. E.
Got to be the best burgers on planet earth amazing brews amazing staff amazing atmosphere
M. K.
Great beer. Love this pub. Glad to see it open again
G. J.
Great pub for a bite to eat and to have a relaxing pint. Very enjoyable
D. W.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere and great beer. Heard the food is good as well, but we went there when the kitchen had just closed unfortunately.
F.
Inspiring decor and a wide range of beers. The staff could generally be more positive though!
R. S.
Great atmosphere and wide selection of beers/ales.
x. s.
We booked the upstairs bar and Cwtch rooms for our wedding reception. The booking process was simple and the team on the day were great! The buffet was very good and everyone had a good time.
P. L.
Great craft beer ,food and staff
A. C.
Amazing selection of craft ale and reasonably priced. Fantastic, knowledgable staff that seem to genuinely want to find the perfect beer for your taste.
J. W.
Fantastic selection of beers, I could stay there all day and not get bored. The food was amazing too, I had buffalo wings with a portion of fries
R. B.
Nice beers, nice atmosphere, good location.

such a cute pub with a great ordering system in place for covid do that you don't have to leave your table
L. B.
Had a couple of pints but the bar food stole the show! Thr chicken wings were up there in particular!

Fabulous beer selection with numerous cask and keg choices. Friendly staff and really good food. Able to accommodate for gluten free. Dogs allowed.

Great place, I can see why locals and tourists (like me) love it so much. Lots of space, seats and a great place to catch up as it’s lively but not too loud so you can have a laugh and conversations.
M. N.
Nice little bar! Friendly atmosphere and decent music.
Spirit price felt a little on the steep side but nothing too wild! 😜
L. J.
Really unique and tasty beers for good prices!
J. L.
Excellent beers and a great set up but I wish some of the staff would be as attentive to the customers around the pub as they are to their mates sat at the end of the bar
E. D.
Great, cheap craft beer and excellent looking food!
B. O.
Fantastic venue, great atmosphere. Menu selection is varied and well priced.

Somewhat out of place, Tiny Rebel is a lovely oasis of retro style for offbeat beer lovers. A real sense of humour and some very well informed bar staff made this my favourite Cardiff pub.
J. S.
Very wide range of beers, friendly staff. The bar has a very urban and welcoming feel to it.
Killer hot wings!
M. E. O.
Awesome selection of great beers. Not the best smell in the bar area though, couldn’t stay in that room to enjoy the beers.
T. L.
Came here with a buffalo wing craving (so good!) but blown away by hands-down the best onion rings that have crossed my lips. Service was friendly and efficient too.
N. R.
Great selection of craft beers and nice place to drink. Can sometimes take a long long time to get served during busy periods. For that reason, 3 stars.
N. C.
Great beers, good food and friendly helpful staff.
T. r.
Bar staff worked hard to make sure everyone was served. Good drinks, music and vibe
J. C.
Helpful and knowledgeable bar staff. Situated in a vibrant part of the town. Brilliant place to start a night out with an excellent choice of good beer and cider.
J. C.
Great beer, good haunt post rugby
D. J.
Quirky and great. I am not normally a fan of burgers. These are more like steak hatchet lots of flavour with odd twists. Then there is the beer and cider. 😆😆😆

Great place for beers at anytime of day or even if you opt for a soft drink! Lots of space with good atmosphere.
S. K.
Great drinks and great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly too

Super delicious beer. Some of the best sriram I’ve had in 20 years a vegetarian. Get the bbq vegan wings and be a happy veg.
M. M.
Amazing selection of beers. Great atmosphere and loads of "theme nights" (quiz, bring your own vinyl, live music etc.) - great location and really friendly staff!
G. M. (.
Great atmosphere and great beers - Hold different meets in the function room and active in helping the community e.g recent beer exchange for items for the homeless! Happily spend my money here.
T. H.
Fantastic selection of beer. Great for out-of-towners to taste a great variety of local craft beers. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
K. P.
Always enjoy the beer selection and it rarely seems overcrowded. Good selection of vegan options, but the bread some of them are served in could be better.
G. O.
Great Craft beers, and wines. amazing atmosphere and bouncers were incredibly friendly. A must visit bar in Cardiff!
J. C. (.
Urban Taphouse was a better name, but the cider, beer and whiskey selection is huge, and everyone talks to everyone. It's like Cheers set in a hipster bar. That artisanal coffee prat from the meme would totally love it.
K. J.
Popular with us and they serve great fresh ales - different ones each time we come in and also the good old regular ones - something for everyone. Also the teddy logo is really cool.
A. c.
Amazing beers by an amazing brewer! Good prices too considering its location. Loads of space to sit or stand to watch the sports that they show
M. F.
Fantastic range of beers, lagers and ciders. Good food also. Always a good atmosphere. Reasonably priced
A. J.
Plenty of trendy IPA's & similar but also a couple of really good stouts. Glad to have found somewhere with real beer (the stouts).
J. B.
Really good food, and a wide selection of local beers. Recommended the signature burger!
The service can be a little slow if busy.
S. G.
Good beer selection. We had to leave after one drink (stag group) but the staff were courteous about it
L.
A busy place, but a good place to drink.
This is a quirky place that let the locals inform me of what a cwtch is (if you don't know ask someone). It has a bit of everything in each room, a small snuggly section (the cwtch), a seated area with tables, an area with tables and a projector and of course the bar area. All of which suit different type of people.
My favourite things has to be the arcade machine with loads of different retro games on it, but a close second is the atmosphere.
A good place to go with friends or colleagues on a Friday night
B. N.
Always wanted to visit and was not disappointed the selection of beer was great didn't eat this time as was incredibly busy but next time I'm in Cardiff I will be back to try
E. S.
The most amazing food. Lush bartenders. Incredible place to be x
C. P.
Great pub with amazing beers, Clwb Tropicana is fantastic. Really pleasant staff and friendly pub atmosphere. Definitely recommend
A. P.
Superb beer and food! Great customer service to boot😎👌🍻
D. C.
Nice pub with nice beer but only keeps 1 or 2 regulars on pump so if you're not into trying a different beer each visit then you're quite restricted.
D. R.
Good simple food menu with something for everyone; ranging from meat to vegan meals. Great choice of beers and spirits for those who are not a fan of craft ales
B. H.
Great bartenders, fantastic selection of beers on tap! Very chill atmosphere, if you like craft beer this is the bar for you!!
G. B.
Great selection of beers but a little pricey
d. f.
My favourite place in Cardiff. Awesome beers both from Tiny Rebel and their guest selection. Burgers not bad too.
A. C.
Great beer selection and great food too
j. r.
Fantastic beers, some prices are high but expected for a city centre location with such selection. Food is reasonable although sometimes inconsistent. Worth a stop on a match day.
H. A.
Great beers and cider and a great atmosphere on a Saturday night. Can get very busy but we managed to get a seat.
J. C.
I like the place. Every time I've been there I've asked for something random (weather that is sours, lager, Ipas) which has not always been to my preference, but that's my fault for not asking for tasters which they happily provide.
R. E.
Look. I love you. And so many of your beers are worth telling friends about. But Mojito Sour tastes like Dentyl and you know it.
Gin & Juice is bloody lush though.

Tiny rebel are a Welsh institution and this is a great part of modern Cardiff Nightlife. Can't wait for them to reopen
T.
I don't have to tell you, if you're a craft beer person, you know tiny rebel, and you know you'll get plenty of great craft beers from them and guest beers too. Very friendly staff too.
M. B.
Great bar for real ale. They also stock gluten free beer. Monday nights are board game nights. Really good atmosphere here.
T. M.
Real ales on offer here were top drawer, rustic kind of pub with food on offer and in a nice place to visit the stadium or go up womanby street and visit some rock and roll venues.
B. N. M. R.
One of the best bars I have ever been to, all locally brewed drinks and THE BEST Burger I have ever had, great dirty and gritty feel to the place with some brilliant music nights
W. S.
Great place for dates and drinks with friends
Have been a few times, love the range of drinks, the decor and the atmosphere.
Will go every time i visit Cardiff!

That’s right: a five-star review for a place which isn’t a restaurant, and in fact only serves burgers. Urban Tap House is hereby awarded this because since opening in late September, it has approached the task of ‘being a bar’ with an unprecedented level of verve, knowledge and respect for its customers.
In the last couple of years, Cardiff’s bar scene has opened up to beer drinkers who actually care about what they’re drinking. Fire Island was arguably the city’s most ambitious venture, but failed to iron out its flaws before going into receivership in July. Youthful, lauded Newport brewery Tiny Rebel purchased the building, and set about making Urban Tap House a beer madman’s dreams.
UTH’s bar manager Chris Rowlands attempt to consistently keep around 100 beers on sale, ranging from Tiny Rebel’s own brews to unfiltered lagers, fruity Belgian things and Denmark’s remortgagingly expensive Mikkeller range. Today, I have a pint of Siren Näcken, a 6.4% British craft beer – hop-loaded, but fearfully easy to drink. My pal chooses Red Willow’s Witless (4.4%) – also on tap, British and a wheat ale with sweet fruit overtones. They both stand testament to the innovation in UK brewing at present.
Food undeniably plays a bit part in UTH’s image, so it’s cheering that their burgers (£7.50 each) aren’t just paper towels for the stomach, but are made with care and some inventiveness. My ‘Pork, Pork & Pork’ burger is so named because it’s made from minced pork, black pudding and bacon; this sounds wilfully indulgent and a bit internet meme-y, but actually works a treat, as does my colleague’s chicken and chorizo patty with chilli jam and sweet peppers. Skin-on fries, onion rings and – the jewel in the arterial crown – deep-fried gherkins are offered as sides. Urban Tap House has been a roaring success in its first few weeks, but if you are remotely curious about craft beer or beer craft, you need it more than it needs you.

One of the better craft beer pubs in Cardiff. Great selection if you are in search of a different beer. Guest ales on tap too

We had a great time at tiny rebel from the start to finish, the service was excellent the beer was fantastic definitely be back .
C. W.
Lovely service and great guys working there! The drink I chose was going to take longer so they made it up to us, great service that!
E. L.
Also known as tap house, they have a good selection of beer as well as some nice burgers with ginormous onion rings! It's a place to meet up with friends in the evening, have a chat
G. M.
Great experience, friendly staff and quick service. Food and drink was good too!
F. S.
Large selection of beers at quite a reasonable price for the city centre. Could be more comfortable and can get very crowded. Would recommend for people in their 20s
