J. L.A wonderful place to stay with your four legged friends 🐕 super friendly welcome and service. Fantastic location for walking to Harlech beach or touring the North West Coast. Delicious freshly prepared food. My favourites include the curry and the steak. Just a word of advice, you need to book to eat in the restaurant.
R. P.My partner and I had been camping for the week down the road and on our last night we finally ate out. I am annoyingly gluten, dairy and oat free (annoying for cooks/chefs and myself) we called ahead before booking to make sure there would be something suitable and there was. I LOVE steak. My partner and I both had the 12oz rump and both were cooked to absolute perfection even the chips were fantastic, crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside just how they should be. If I'd had space in my belly to eat it again straight away I would've ordered another but we were both stuffed. Excellent food, lovely staff, great service and on a really busy night as well. Will defenatly be making a detour next time we visit South Wales.
A. P.I can highly recommend this pub. The food tasted amazing was served hot and good size portions. Has good amenities for families with a lovely outdoor area safe for children.
D. H.Good range of drinks on tap and friendly service. Unfortunately the Sunday lunch wasn't great, as the veggies were overcooked, the beef lacked flavour and the roasties were soggy as the whole thing was swimming in pre-loaded gravy. My wife's steak skewers were overcooked too. Shame, as the last time we went, the skewers were excellent.

r. s.Called in for Sunday lunch, so glad we did, probably one of the tastiest we've had in a pub. Great looking menu although haven't sampled the other food yet. They also serve the full menu on a Sunday, not just the roast dinners.

We had chicken skewers, anti pesto board, fish n chips, jacket potato, Philly steak to mention a few and had no complaints! We went to days in a row, compliments to the chef and staff! C. P.A regular with the family and is in close proximity to my sisters which makes it convenient. This occasion was my mother's wake where we had a great attendance. The pub can accommodate a good crowd of people and we had some finger food laid on. Not a great reason to be in the pub but a great pub to have it in.

Q. S.A traditional British pub which also serves an excellent selection of dishes. The food is excellent, and the pub owner, the serving staff and also the regulars made us feel very welcome indeed. A great little oasis in the country lanes just outside the hustle & bustle of Cardiff city centre.

The food was good and they had a small but very varied menu which was a breath of fresh air for pub food. Still got your basics though of fish, chips, gammon.
I had the chicken tikka platter and it was great, no complaints.

G. P.This little pub is a true gem. Cosy, friendly staff and a really nice ambiance. I had steak fajitas and Liz had fish and chips. Potion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable. There was a slight issue with my drink but it was sorted immediately without fuss. Overall this is a great place to come for food and drink for all the family.

C. T.Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We were celebrating a birthday and were very well looked after. Lovely food, really tasty and just the right portion size. Our party consisted of two mature-aged people, three middle-aged, two teenagers and a three-year-old. The hens and chicks and the playgroup kept the young ones occupied and there was no rush to move us on. A very pleasant early evening was had. Dog-friendly as well, so we'll be bringing our two canine family members next time as well. 👍🏻👍🏻

S. L.Popped in for a Saturday evening meal. The specials board had a varied choice of fresh quality choices. I went for the chilli & chocolate sausage mash. Sounded strange but tasted AMAZING. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
J. A.Bit of a hidden gem! Not a massive amount of 'curb apeal', but we'll maintained. We went for a girly lunch this past Saturday and were pleasantly surprised at the varried menu with plenty of Vegi choices. We enjoyed a Hawaiian(?) dish that was really flavourful and healthy. We couldn't finish it as the portions were nice and big. Staff lovely too.

J. C.A great country pub. Excellent food and service, with a brilliant range of drinks available. There is a function room for hire and an outside play area and beer garden for summer afternoons with the children. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't been there before.

H. S.This place I remember as the port of call. We were playing golf in nearby Peterson golf club and as the bar shut at 5pm we decided to try the maerun which is just down the road. What a hidden gem.the menu was extensve and home made. I had gammon and my friend had lasagna which were both very good.will definitely be going back.
