C. K.Fantastic. Very high quality food, both in flavour and presentation. Varied seasonal menu, but not too large of a menu to be a concern. Staff were great. Clean throughout, plenty of seating options. Good price for the overall experience. Definitely recommend.

We preferred inside dining, because lots of children outside playing.
S. E. L.The Anchor Inn is fantastic. We have been every year as part of a river trip. It’s always busy, so plan ahead, book a table and be prepared to wait. It’s worth it, great food.
Staff are really helpful, it’s clean and a beautiful setting.
M. P.They do make an excellent vegan burger and cheesecake. And the setting by the river cannot get any more beautiful!
We had to wait a long time between courses, but hopefully next time the full experience will be be worth five stars.

The food was delicious, ALL staff were attentive, friendly & an absolute credit to the place. It was a busy evening but handled very efficiently & with a smile on peoples faces! Can’t understand some of the other reviews as none of us could fault a thing. Shall definitely be returning! Thank you to all who were on shift tonight (06/08/22) - you are fab!

We sat in the garden and enjoyed a view of the river until our party all arrived. Food and drinks arrived very swiftly by amazing team members who were all very friendly. We had a pod booked out for 2. Aircon and a heater if needed.
The food. Well… where do I start!!!
It all went…. Except the shared fully loaded chips! But they were boxed up!

Roman (Captain Jack Sparrow) our waiter and everyone else that helped out were amazing. So kind and didn’t rush us at all!

M. D.Excellent provincial restaurant. Good food, lovely serving staff and nicely decorated. I had beautifully cooked lamb. Friend had bean burger.. advertised as with chilli but despite a sensitive palette she couldn't detect any. Will visit again without doubt.
G.Went there for the first time ever this afternoon very smart tidy beautiful place plenty of room Outdoors too, service a bit slow for the meal but understandably so because it was very busy but it was fantastic food some of the best fish and chips I've ever had 🌟 and lovely smart friendly service.
