This pub has great service from the friendly staff. It has a table service app with a large outside area with large tables and heaters for the evenings. The food is very nice. Around 10 pounds for a main. The even do fun food like a pizza cone. It has chips and cheese in it with dips included for 10 pounds. You can watch sport if that's your thing. Drinks are a bit pricey but I'm a northerner so I'm bias. Talking about the drink in which I sampled many in my last visit, there is a good variety of drinks. Any thing you can imagine, from shots to craft ales, wines spirits, ciders and larger. The toilets are upstairs so if you have issues getting around or are disabled this may be an issue. All in all a great place to meet and socalise with friends but expect to spend between 50 - 100 pounds on a night out.

Booked a table for the FA Cup final on Saturday 14th May (come on Liverpool!!). Great seats near a big TV, great atmosphere in the pub, good choice of drinks, comfy seats, and really clean. Also ordered food and my chicken burger was so tasty! Will definitely visit and eat here again!

I’d give it 100 stars if I could. I love Colchester centurion, it’s my favourite pub in town. All the staff are lovely and make you feel at home! Drew is especially great, I can always guarantee I’ll buy some shots when I see him!

Well well well, where to start? What a wonderful experience the centurion is, just another example of pure Stonegate excellence. Will they ever make a bad bar in Colchester? The food was majestic and the service was sublime! I can highly recommend the pizza cone to any lover of Italian cuisine in the area! A truly amazing experience to cherish while watching the hottest sporting events you could ever wish for. I was served sensational two-for-one cocktails from an absolutely gorgeous brown haired gentlemen by the name of Drew- good enough to eat! Personally, my experience of his service was top tier and I could not recommend a better Barman to be served by. Overall, I would rank my experience 11/10 and would recommend for my one friend. Bravo Centurion! What will Stonegate achieve next?

We went here for the bottomless brunch as a group of 4. All the staff were so friendly and really accommodating! Everyone always had a drink in their hands and the food was delicious! This lovely pub has such a relaxed and friendly vibe! We left feeling really well looked after and will definitely be going back for another brunch! Thank you Centurion :)

Some Great Craft beers on, staff knew about it and recommended beers/ offered tasters. Genuinely got the impression they cared about it which is refreshing because not a lot do! Well, what can I say. Upon entering the centurion, I didn’t know what to expect. But it was the best decision I’ve ever made. It was truly captivating experience, was served by the nice handsome young man behind the bar, brown hair, makes cocktails like an absolute titan and was really nice and funny. They should really give him a raise. Will be coming back again. Service was fantastic. Food was DELISH. And those 2-for-1 cocktails all day everyday are just sublime. I will be coming back for more. If not just to look at that 5”9 vessel of a gorgeous alpha male exuding artistry when making my cocktails. #givehimaraise #coatsoff

This place does a good job of offering decent food and a nice selection of craft beer on tap, while also showing a lot of sport on the many TVs....kind of a hybrid pub, if such a thing exists!

Fantastic range of veggie & vegan options. Always something new to try & the veggie all day breakfast is great value. Staff always friendly and nice outside area. Update: appears the pub has been taken over by a new brewery, the menu is completely different and although there is still a decent range of vegan/veggie options, the veggie breakfast is now gone.

From the south east area Traveling to Colchester zoo and to check out local shops. Saw this quaint place decided to have some food. I have to say thank you to all the staff within friendly happy and great a service. It's a shame my local of the same branch are not as accommodating and well mannered. Good food and reasonable price. If down that way again well definitely be going back.

Went into the Centurion Friday evening and had a great time. The bar and atmosphere is great, its lots of screens available to watch England v France. Locals were friendly and bar staff were excellent. Really nice pub and definitely worth a visit if your in town.

Good sports pub with plenty of screens. The Doombar was off and tasted like vinegar and the numbered craft ales were on numbered pumps but the bar staff didn't know what the numbers corresponded too so asking for two pints of number 6 and one of number 4 was pointless.

Very good pub in the town centre, great selection of beers. Everyday has an offer (today, being Wednesday, was 25p a wing) and seems like a nice crowd in there. NB this was four o'clock on a Wednesday, it being town centre could obviously lead to a completely different experience on a Saturday night. Still, will worth a visit.

Surprisingly good food and a nice atmosphere. Drinks are what you'll expect but the whole vibe of the pub is very homely. You can play a bit of pool and such if you're up for it, and they have various specials/offers depending on the day.

Favourite pub in Colchester by far. Staff are really nice, the place looks amazing after the refurb. Drinks are a little pricy, but totally worth it. The pub has a great atmosphere. Good smoking area out back. Food is also so good!!! They're always doing events like gaming nights, and recently had a loyalty card for gin! I would say its not got great disabled access. Going in is fine, but the toilets are upstairs, and to get out to the smoking area there is a step. Apart from that, such a good place to go.

WILL RETURN!! TASTY, AFFORDABLE, COMFY. We went for the Rugby game, first I have ever watched. It was a lovely experience as the booths are comfy, drinks a plenty, and food of great price and quality. We ordered the £12 sharing platter and both agreed it was more than we had expected. To name a few of the higher than expectations; Chicken wings with meat and no fat, garlic bread with cheese, nachos with guac and lovely homemade cheese sauce(salsa and sour cream), crispy and spring onions on the hotdog, freshly made onion rings, and real chicken tenders.

Came here today with a group of us for a meel. It is the first time I have been here. On first looks, it looks nice and friendly. Menu here is good and is reasonable priced. Only issue I had was that 3 got served their meals and when we got ours the first 3 had finished. Puddings here were different, I have the deep fried mars bar in doughnut smore thing. Again first time having that and was nice just very sickly. Would recommend this place.

In previous incarnations this pub has done the job, but the centurion is an enjoyable place. Aimed squarely at the younger crowd the pub offers printing facilities alongside games and TV options. Theme nights worth watching for (25p wings).
