Went to The Shilton Arms on a Thursday when they opened at noon. I brought my brother who lives in the states and he couldn't believe the variety of food on the menu. The service was fantastic and the food was so filling we didn't have room for dessert! (We did have have coffees and Cappuccinos) We were there about an hour and a quarter, and by the time we left the place was filling up quickly. I definitely recommend eating here! And call in advance would be a good idea.

Very good local pub. Homely feel inside, aided by very friendly and helpful staff. The food was also very tasty (the cheese sauce with the steak was amazing in particular) and filling and the steak was done perfectly. There is also a good selection of drinks and specials.

Sunday lunch was pretty good, with a good size plate, nice Yorkshires and tasty meat. The roast potatoes didn't quite hit the spot and they had a number of beer taps unavailable at the time. The sticky toffee pudding & crumble are the way to go for dessert; the Christmas pudding portion is comically small, the sticky toffee pudding is at least 4x the size. The beer garden area looks pretty exciting, but we didn't spend any time out there during this visit. It's a nice little spot for lunch, great service and plenty of people about, would certainly give it another shot!

Booked a table of 12 for a Christmas celebration and had a wonderful time! The staff could not have been more attentive, constantly keeping us topped up with drinks and condiments. Lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious, would definitely return and heartily recommend :) Thanks for having us

Got a puncture on my bike outside the pub on one of the coldest days of the year. I popped myself just inside the door and got myself all set. No grumbles from the staff and all very friendly. A lovely way to treat me in my 20mins of need - not all places would be so accommodating. Really appreciated, thank you!

Fantastic food the place was very quiet due to the world cup being on but they then told us they were closing at 9:30 which I could understand why. They could have told us that when we booked the table. But the food was amazing

1 March 2022. Good hot food again, just like last time! Good hot food, never had a bad meal here, love it and use it regularly! What else can I say? 11 Feb 2019 just been again had the best meal ever, Green Thai curry so so good. Stole chips too they were something else. Going back next week x. The services is not slow but it not hyper quick. They serve good food that is good to wait for, but we only waited 12 minutes for our first course .... Cannot moan at that, any faster its rushed, you don't go to this restaurant for quick you go to enjoy very good food.

First visit to This place and I have to say that I will be returning, We had a Roast dinner all veg home cooked, The Beef I had was cooked to perfection. Once again as I've said before more expensive than chain outlets, but you get better value for money. The staff/owners all very friendly, well done to all concerned 👍

We had the medium beef Sunday lunch. Very tasty but the beef was very stringy. Struggled to cut and chew it. Obviously very cheap cut which should have been slow roasted. Also my child had a kids beef burger which was also very fatty. Service was good and they managed to find us a table even though we hadn't booked. Everything good apart from the meat

Went for a birthday party. Meals nice and fairly fast to get them out. Prices not too bad for the amount of food you get. Same menu for the Rose and Castle Ansty which is not too far away either. Only downside was the 20 min wait for the puddings to come out (My favourite part of the meal!) But they were lovely. Nice staff and atmosphere. Will be going again.

What a gem.... stopping at MacDonald Ansty but wanted to eat away from the hotel. This was local with good reviews and they exceeded expectations. Moretti - best pint ever. Whitebait - delicious. Veggie burger & chips - the coleslaw was amazing and the meal great. If I was to make a suggestion, add some spicy fruity chutney or salsa to the burger. Apart from that, great experience and would recommend.

AMAZING STEAK!! Amazing looking building from the outside, music themed decor, basic tables and place settings but stunning home cooked food. Handmade homemade burgers and local steaks which were cooked and seasoned to perfection! Nice selection of ales and wines and all very reasonable for a country village pub. Will return.

Not a place to drop in for a drink! This is a restaurant. The food was good but the plates looked sparse if your lucky you may get a hand full of rocket on the side which is where it is not compatible with other places and have to question the value for money aspect.
