Located within the city centre on a quiet backstreet it's actually more of a traditional style pub than a modern bar...a fairly unusual thing in Derby as most of them have closed. It seems to specialise in gin, they have a substantial range alongside various other spirits, cocktails on draft, cans, bottles and beers; however, the beer choice is fairly unexciting. The garden is actually quite impressive, clearly they've spent time and money on it, the inside is nice enough and they have a pool table, dart board and smallish dance floor; however, the toilets are pretty grim unfortunately. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, bar staff were friendly. I can see why it's popular, however, I predominantly go out to try different beers and on that front there's far better places to visit.

It's nice and friendly up until 10.30pm then it gets very loud. If you like him you should visit this pub as they have over 30 different gins and real ale. Staff are friendly.

Brilliant for live comedy, admittedly the only shows I've seen there.. Ive watched and got to chat to some comedians from TV shows, and some new starters like me, And I've performed a set here thanks to Spikey Mike and Brent at funhouse comedy shows.. Easy enough to find and get to by train or bus.. Magic

Watched Derby County loose to Aston Villa here. The pub is ok, outside screen was useless, could not see it properly. Toilets are a bit grubby, great of the bar area is ok but nothing to shout about.

Will need updating in the future but for now it's a classic pub with a warm welcome.Sports on TVs and pool table and dart board.Live events room & a nice outside space.

l the toilets went very nice. If you can don't use the toilets. Offer than that it's a very good pub that's open Xmas day. They have music, it's not to load so you can still talk to people. Very friendly staff. Log fireplace that they light with logs. And a nice and spacey beer garden that even has its own stage. Overall a good place to have your more quit drink with music that you can dance to

Probably my favourite pub in Derby. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Excellent tunes and atmosphere. Pool table, darts and a retro gaming table. Massive smoking sheltered beer garden and a stage outside for gigs. Awesome place.
