I popped in for dinner and the staff were very friendly and I ordered the Shepherds pie which was amazing and after chatting to the chef about other menu items I returned on the Friday and ordered the King prawn tomato and chilli linguine …

Stunning meal, ambient music and cosy atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They promote mask wearing when at the bar.
Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

This is a review for the ‘drink experience’ only. We are fairly local to Wilson and often walk around the area. Times we’ve called in for a pit-stop pint and it’s been busy – this is great and I’m glad to see it, but there’s very little room for anybody to have a drink. There were only four of us and six other drinkers, but we were all crammed around the bar and near one of the doors making us feel like an inconvenience. Every bit of available area seems to be taken up by restaurant space and unfortunately this is not a pub for the drinker anymore. Understand the proprietors have probably made it a food-led pub, but people not wanting to drive up and eat a Sunday dinner perhaps carry on into Breedon or Melbourne. There is a small outside area which is good on dry days.

Went Sunday 2nd Jan. Chose the roast beef which was exceptional. The beef was delicious and melted in the mouth. Excellent selection of vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. Attentive and polite bar staff. Will return and highly recommend.

Came this afternoon for a works Christmas lunch and it was top class. The food was amazing and everyone in the groups thoroughly enjoyed their food. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend the onion soup and wild mushrooms.

Really good food, good choice of beers. Can highly recommend the pan fried chicken and chorizo. Babaganouch starter was amazing and ask for the mayonnaise is home made. Lovely!!
