A quiet locals pub, hidden away on a housing estate, which is worth seeking out.
Great selection of Falstaff beers, plus guest ales on offer, in a very friendly and welcoming, but cash only, local.
A real community pub with plenty of history and character.
The ladies loo's (as my wife can testify) are award winning, and a pleasure to visit.
The gents were clean and pleasant.
There are many points of interest around the pub, from Mahogany fire places and carvings, to old pictures and posters, not to mention the historical memorabilia from the local area.
Not forgetting the legendary ghost that supposedly haunts this fantastic pub.
If you've never visited previously, give it a try
If you've been here before, be sure to return,
And if you're a regular, you need no encouragement.

A fantastic unspoilt pub hidden away down a back street, recommended to me by word of mouth. Great selection of real ales. A hidden gem.

One of the friendlies pubs I have ever been to - I could not have felt more welcome - the own brewed beer is exceptionally good - a most welcome experience.

Popped in with several friends/work colleagues. It was like going back in time. A lovely pub hidden in the back streets of Normanton, lots of friendly customers including the staff. We had a great time, several games of pool. I was told the beer was outstanding. I would highly recommend if you have not been.

A proper well-run and friendly local with excellent beer brewed on the premises. A little out of the centre of Derby but well worth finding.
