Great music .Brilliant staff .Just a shame that people will manage to smash a whole pint on the dance floor soaking others in the process .The staff keep on top of it as much as possible .The toilets are ok at start of the night unfortunately as good as the people using them so drunk sick peeps dieing in a cubicle while People wait .You are less likely to see fights as the door staff don't stand for it .An older clientelle as over 25 means less giggling groups and stag or hen which suits me Sarah Smith

The staff were super friendly, and I was made to feel welcome with my girlfriend and mate, when we showed up on Monday night just gone. The service was wonderful, drinks were reasonably priced and all the staff were smiling. I even felt welcomed to be a part of their conversation. I'm sure I'll definitely be returning around Fresher's period. - Sunil.

Music is great friendly door staff really like to watch sport in this bar, my only issue would be some of the prices. They sell strongbow dark fruits in cans £3.95 for a can ?

Usually trouble free place..good music average priced drinks & you get free crisps on the table too! Only down point would be the middle aged sgort haired blonde door lady probably should learn how to smile & be more inviting as a sour face isnt what revellers want.

Brilliant night out.Saturdays packed to capacity with lovely friendly people from all walks of life,everyone enjoying the music and company they were in. Big thanks to Sophie for the confidence boost you gave me (that memory will stay with me for ever " I had the time of my life" !!!) you are a star xx !!!i A massive thanks to the DJ & the bar staff who work their socks off to make the nights so enjoyable. I use the Metrobar on a fairly regular basis and found it a 1st class place to take a friend, who is a Ts girl and we find the customers excellent and friendly staff. Visible security but kept low profile. A very good place for music and drinks. I would recommend the Metrobar unreservedly a place not to miss in Derby's night life. Colin

Well staffed bar with security on the door to keep it a good drinking pub. Dancing also available for those who want it. Good mix of music is a bonus.

The Metro bar is one of the last drinks of the night type of places. It's got an over 25s clientele that want a good night out and are by 12am usually drunk enough to be acting like kids. The music is too loud for the size of the venue and there isn't a lot in the way of seating. Having said this the atmosphere more than makes up for the places short comings and drinks are an average price when compared to other venues.

A place for music, lovely weekends and good atmosphere. Prices reasonable and no long waits for alcohol. Bit quiet in week but well worth visit at weekends if you are having night in town.

Not many kids get in here, good music, 60's, 70's loads of old soul and disco and long forgotten gems. Staff friendly and efficient.
