Have been here multiple times since it opened and had a great experience every time. As someone who isn't a big fan of beer, going to a Bavarian place was a little risky but the knowledgeable and friendly staff allowed me to try a variety of beers before I found a couple that I loved enough to get a full Stein of. As well as the beer, the food so far has been perfect to warm me up after walking around in the cold. I can recommend almost anything on the menu as it's delicious, hearty and cooked well. I'm soon leaving Derby and this will be one of the places I miss the most, it's really that good!

We're so lucky to have this place in Derby. A wonderful, atmospheric, Bavarian Bar with great beer, epic sausages and genuinely lovely staff. Thanks for a really special Oktoberfest and big up to the very talented musicians.

Wasn't intending on going into Stein Strasse but as we past I could here live music playing. Popped in with the better half and stayed for the rest of the night listening to a band called Animal Room. Drinks were cold and service was quick. We even ended up dancing on the tables! A great fun bar with a brilliant band. I'll be looking out for this combination again!

Had a great evening here, was great to see people dancing on tables and having a good time. Crowd was slightly younger for my liking on a Saturday night. But obviously it is peak times, maybe good to have a night for us oldies (over 25s at least) nevertheless was a great atmosphere, good range of music, great drinks, very different to the norm, definitely will be visiting again soon and telling all my friends so that they can also enjoy.

Good atmosphere and great music. Drink choice are good but they are a bit pricey. You can dance on the seats but not the tables! Great place for a good night out, or drop in as part of a beer night out

Nice cozy place. Good for get together. Service is very prompt. We enjoyed the atmosphere. May not be suitable for children below 5 years during weekends after 8 pm. It will be very noisy.

The drinks are well priced, food arrived quickly and was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The music was a little inconsistent in volume, ranging from too quiet to obnoxiously loud, but overall a thoroughly good time.

Good solid German Fayre. Will definitely return. Children's menu is a half portion of most meals on the menu with drink and ice cream for £4.95, not bad at all. Seems they have a weekday 20% off food offer on as well which was a welcome bonus. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. If you like German Food, then this place cuts the senf!!

First visit and not sure what to expect. Superbly friendly welcome which continued all evening. Good food and drink, very well presented. Also fortunate to be there when "Bandaoke" was taking place - great atmosphere and some good musicians.

A great bar with loads to drink from Real Ale to German beer. The bar has a great feel, the staff are very helpful and work hard. I can not wat to come back with my mates for a drink. If you like real ale then this is a place to visit. Top marks guys.

Visited for birthday first time here. Food ok but side orders and mains should be served together. Dont like the enamel plates especially when not heated as food went cold very quickly. Also sharer dishes should be for 2 not just 4. Very good choice of drinks though.

You HAVE to try this place, sharing platter for two was enough for six so did feel guilty for leaving so much, beer great (in real steins). The only place you'll hear an oompah band playing the theme of Damnbusters!

Nice place, but got my sausage/verst stolen on serving, nothing to do with the staff but I was offered more fries as compensation for the theft unfortunately these fries never arrived. Staff a little unorganised and unutilised... Allowing for daylight sausage theft!?
