The drinks here are very nice. It's very dark inside which gives an intimate atmosphere. Not a massive amount of seating. Service can be really slow and whilst the food has always been good, the menu availability has been limited and again, does take a while to receive. Often seems to be only one person working the bar. Toilets always seem to be in poor state- not sure how frequently they are addressed during a Friday or Saturday night. Always worth going to for a drink, but it tends to be a flying visit these days.

Very lovely and pretty place. Staff, drinks and the whole experience was lovely. I highly recommend the surprise shots and bombs. The only downside was the price on the drinks was high but I think this is becasue of trying to get money back after covid lockdowns and the place is more upmarket. Overall lovely place would go back again 9/10

Fabulous team even during lockdown restrictions. Very friendly helpful staff and the food was so good. I had the steak and honestly was the best I've had in while. Everything from the beginning to the end was spot on! Was served by a Polish lad (so sorry I can't remember the name) who was very attentive, friendly and passionate 😊 Me and a friend absolutely loved the food! Best Calamari in town. Will definitely be going more often for the food as usually I would just pop in for a pint due to convenient location.

A nice place to eat. Soothing music playing which goes well with the appearance of the restaurant. The outdoor area was nice and quiet. If I hadn't already known it, I would have said that I was not even in Derby. Tasty food and large servings which I like. Although managing a three course meal would be a bit of a struggle. Starters can be bought as a shared dish, which is nice. Staff were really good and helpful.

A smallish bar with two floors and a massive choice of spirits. As a rum drinker, i was surprised to see some nice rums on offer. some were 25 year aged rums. The place has a nice interior and exterior. The cost of drinks are slightly higher than other places. paying roughly £6-£8 for a double. The Distillery makes up for this with a nice drinking atmosphere.

Dropped in for a few drinks and ended up bumping in to Liam the chef, he let us try a few plates he’s been working on for free to provide feedback and the food was absolutely quality. We will be dropping back I for food as he mentioned they will try Sunday lunches. They also do bottomless brunches on a Saturday. Liam spent a few mins talking to us and he’s a quality guy and a great chef, would recommend. Cocktails were ok for the price, not outstanding.

Great atmosphere!! This is a lovely unique little establishment, we went for some drinks, managed to get seats for 6, there’s also a space that people were using to dance. Very nicely decorated.

Impressive food and service. We Celebrated a special Anniversary meal here. We were very impressed with the friendly and attentive staff, excellent service and exceptional standard of food presented by Liam the Chef.

Very busy and couldn't hardly move but music was good and had a good vibe just think too many people in makes it get uncomfortable and then the lift to top floor had loads of boxes in but we still went in due to a friend having mobility issues and uses walking stick. We got to top floor and door wouldn't open just got funny looks from member of staff up stairs. Went down and spoke to member of bar staff who inform us the lift wasn't working but no sign up to warn us.

The staff here are great. Everyone from the door staff, the bar staff and the management are approachable, welcoming and most of all respectful. Fairly priced bar tariff and a great range of drinks. Definitely one of the best bars in town !

Nice place and great food. Set back in the old La Tasca(?) building next to the church on Friargate. Good selection of drinks, menu is varied enough to cater for everyone, but not over complicated that quality or timeliness suffers. Ingredients feel fresh. Upstairs in a nice area to sit for dinner. But we sat on a table for 2 in the window looking out to the street, not far from the top of the stairs. A group of younger folk arrived, dominated the area at the top of the stairs where there's a sofa so it quickly became booze Britain (for those that remember bravo on the TV?) I imagine it'd be a nice atmosphere in the week too.

Just had a fantastic evening at the Distillery, Friargate, Derby celebraring my 53rd birthday. Service was impeccable, food delicious and ambience welcoming and relaxed. Maciej was brilliant and a credit to the company, warm, affable and extremely professional, nothing was too much for him. Olivia was lovely too. In these times it's so important that we support local businesses, where we find great service and delicious food it's imperative that we share these positive experiences. If you are thinking of somewhere to go in Derby that serves a delicious menu, simple and fresh with flair and a mega autumnal themed cocktail menu, I can't recommend the Distillery highly enough. Ask for Maciej, he's amazing. Poland's loss is definitely our gain. Covid be damned, chill out at the Distillery, Derby.

My visit to this establishment was when We had a works Xmas party, never had been here before and I was very pleased with it, the decor in the cocktail bar is pleasant and relaxing in a way, music was loud enough but not over loud that you couldn't hear a conversation easily, the food was good and consisted of mini bites of burgers, Indian and several other tastes all cooked well and well presented and a good evening was had by all.

Short measures on overpriced cocktails!! French Martini glass not full. Same with the Amaretto Sour. You need to go to the bars around you and see how good they are!!
