Cool nice joint I usually pass by for a double whiskey with 1 ice cube and the friendly ever smiling lady at the counter has already mastered my choice. Lovely peaceful joint.

Went to derby for a night out and stay over, this was the 2nd pub we visited and were made welcome by the locals. Reasonable priced drinks , lively atmosphere as there was an afternoon dj, would definitely visit again if we’re in derby again.

Car parking was not good, should have not booked a day when Derby County was playing. That said the meal was great and fast service. It a chain eatery and was at similar last week good pub grub in both.

Great boozer in Derby city centre. Visited covid 19 back-room/beer garden and thoroughly well organised table service. Booked a table (as per the current legislation...) and was well looked after with unobtrusive staff blending well into the background but always ready to serve you when you are ready. Hats-off all round to enterprising landlord (and/or land lady) for arranging all the facilities in the current pandemic which hopefully is now coming to an end. Good luck !! Thank you.

Love this place. It's one of the few non chain pubs in town, it's always spotlessly clean, offers house alternatives to mainstream spirits, has a great atmosphere and when Derby are playing and it's on TV (especially for away matches), you won't find a better atmosphere. The ultimate in friendly & welcoming pubs in town where you can go for your breakfast, have a lunchtime pint or go and enjoy sport on the TV in a spotlessly clean environment or enjoy a smoke in a great WARM smoking areas. The landlord certainly knows how to cater to every segment of the market, you will struggle to find a better pub in town than this one

I visited The Neptune on Wed 6.6.18 and was delighted to find it the same friendly pub I remembered, I saw a few old friends and chatted with Sophie who is now a mothe of 2 and expecting her 3rd boy soon. Lovely visit sorry it was Steve's day off. Another visit soon I hope.
