Can't fault the place. Good Sunday Lunch. Alternate small menu also available on a Sunday (I had the burger which was delicious). New owners from next week apparently. Hopefully the quality of food and service will remain. Good luck with the new venture

We went with the Steak and ale pies. Lovely, the red cabbage is superb, and the mash very tasty too. Would recommend this meal. We were a bit apprehensive due to the news that new people were running the pub but all good.

We called in to this lovely village pub to break the journey from the north east to the west midlands. So much better than a motorway service station. The food was excellent and the ample portions really filled us up. The choice of drinks was first class with a range of real ales. As I was driving I only sampled one but it was perfectly kept. The manager was attentive and friendly. This is not the first time we have been here and it will not be the last. It was really worth pulling off the main road to avoid fast food and have a really good meal.

A really good selection of ales, lagers, wines and gin. The food is really good with a great choice for all tastes and lots of vegan and vegetarian food. There's a great atmosphere and a good traditional pub feel where you get a warm welcome.

Imaginative menu with some really nice sounding dishes. We opted for three small plates as we were in a hurry but all were extremely nice. Staff were friendly especially young Scottish lad. Went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Top marks !!

We sat in the courtyard, there is an app through yoello to order for and drinks. Each table has a QR code and it's simple enough to use. Food took a little while but there was some good choice on the menu and the pizza was good, although I was told the burgers are not so good. Nice atmosphere in the courtyard and will visit again.

Great little pub nice and posh food but more waiters must be onsite there was only 1 on our visit I recommend having 2. The food was lovely however the portions were a little too generous and a lot of food.

Had a very nice lunch with wife daughter and grandson. Didn't realise this was now an Everards pub wonder what happened to Derby Brewing Co. Substantial portions especially the nachos. Good attentive staff. Bye the way the draught Sunflower ale was very drinkable.

Was a nice, friendly enough place, reasonably priced. Menu had a good pub grub selection. We also had a seafood linguine, curried hake and fishcakes and salad (as a main). Was all nice except for the fishcakes which were burnt, bland and under seasoned with a salad with no dressing, so a little disappointing. I'd stick to the burger and grill side of the menu.

Wednesday early evening booking, very covid friendly, but it was cold indoors no heating on ! Good service, food ok , I had a chicken caesar salad , not the best I've had , croutons were made from deep fried bread , and the dish was incredibly salty , not sure if it was the dressing .. 4/10 for the dish .... That said I do like it here ..

Visited for the first time today. We requested a lunch that was not on the menu but this was not a problem at all. Every effort was made to fulfill our request. Food was gorgeous, reasonable price and fantastic helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and will be making a return visit

The staff are friendly here. The pub is comfortable and welcoming with a happy, relaxed atmosphere. I think it's the perfect place to come for a 'country pub-style' drink. I have had an issue with a food order not arriving in a timely fashion and, when I complained, the manager badly handled the situation. As such, I don't think I'd come here again to eat.

Great ales and a good selection of wines. Staff very welcoming with a generally friendly atmosphere. Food selection varied, southern fried haddock recommended. Steaks were cooked as requested and of good quality. A little on the pricey side but the ambience and feel good factor worth it.

This was probably the worst meal I have had in a very long time. We went to the Queens Head last night after reading a review in a local magazine however our experience was somewhat different to that of the reviewers. After ordering we were left waiting over 30 minutes and our food still hadn't arrived. When my partner went to the bar to ask what was happening one of the bar staff phoned down to the kitchen to be told our food had been sent up and was waiting in the food lift behind the bar - apparently a green light comes on over the lift when the food has arrived - however the bar staff were too busy talking among themselves to notice the food was there. I don't know how long it had been hanging around but when it was put on the table it was barely warm and after having a few mouthfuls it became too cold to eat. We did complain and the member of staff offered to have the food warmed up but by that time we had to leave. The member of staff said all she could do was apologise but at £27.00 for 2 drinks and 2 inedible meals this wasn't good enough. Certainly won't be going there again.
