Friendly greeting no hassle ordering. Got Carling. Midday not too full not too empty just right no bother. Sheltered smoking area with phenomenal disabled access closing time varied.

Down to earth bar, music at weekends,always a great atmosphere. On a work night out took a person in for first time. He said " Why have brought me to a back street pub?" Within 10 mins he was on the dance floor, didn't want to leave.

The Tiger is for the older clientele although you do find 20 somethings in the place they move on pretty quickly, using it as a stop off as part of a pub crawl. The music is loud with a great play list. Most weekends you struggle for a seat which is a shame because I would probably spend more time in the place if I had somewhere to sit. This being said it is still a popular venue.

I was really surprised lived in Derby 20 years now and this was my first visit. Clean, tidy, good atmosphere, not the most outstanding range of real ales but the 3 regulars were fresh, good, tasty and well cared for
