Went in for a drink on the way to the races. Prices were not very reasonable with us paying £7.55 for a coke and Desperado... quite steep. Plenty of staff were working. I didn't order food but after a look at the menu it looked good with a wide range available. Large car park to the rear which is handy.

Used to be my local many moons ago, and to be honest feels like it hasn't really changed that much and feels a little dated now. A good choice of beers and spirits, and the food menu looks good, but it was lacking a little in atmosphere, feeling more like a working men's club with the swearing etc, which sadly made it a little less welcoming. Great positive though is that dogs are welcome

We just nipped in for some food on our way home. Sunday dinner on the table within minutes. One meat and one veggie, absolutely scrumptious, all the veg cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Yorkshire pudding was super, asked for extra gravy (as I like lots) came out very quick. All the staff are friendly, polite and very approachable. Defo be back for sure

I had the BBQ chicken burger, and it was gorgeous, although the bun was on the cusp of being Stale and was a little difficult to chew at times I still say it was probably one of if not the best pub burger I've had, and I've had my fair share in the past

Sincs new landlady took over the pub is definatly becoming popular, Good food, friendly staff and atmosphere, dj nights, kareoke, live acts. Pool table ,darts.excellent Sunday roasts. And all the food prepared by the chef's off the various menu's. Good choice of gluten free food as well . The kitchen is cooking Tuesdays through to Sundays. Friendly staff warm welcome ,dogs are also welcome when on lead. Don't forget they do a lovely Sunday roast usually sell out so book a table to avoid disappointment

Came for Christmas Day lunch, can only say a massive thank you to those who gave up their Christmas to make others lovely. The food (turkey or steak) was lovely, vegetables beautifully cooked. The staff worked their socks off, understaffed & grill friendly nothing was too much for £38 a wonderful 3 course meal. Well done to the chef & other members of staff

It's an OK, cheap & Cheerful place to eat, more set up for drinking than dining. However the last time I visited, with a further 5 friends, to a pre-booked table. There was no "welcome", there was no We'll be with you asap"..... nothing. No words spoken to us despite the waitress walking past our table on several occasions. After about 20 mins or so, menus were delivered to the table. The menu was good but basic, however several items were marked "N/A" (not available), which reduced our choices significantly. I decided for the Sausages, Mash & Peas. Firstly the Sausages were of poor quality, the Mash was instant potato & as for the Gravy boat.... it was like coloured water. Overall not acceptable & I, sorry to say, have no intention of visiting again. I have given several posts on restaurants around our area, this has been the only negative one. I do not recommend this for dining

Good prices and friendly staff. I remember we had to move table because they were setting up a DJ for the night and the woman was so lovely and made sure we found a nice table to sit at. Good price on food as well, there is always a deal on!

Not my local but it's a central meeting point, like most pubs struggling for business. I do like it there and the beer is wet and cold so what more do you want. They just need to finish the flooring because it's been ripped up months and looks unsightly.

This super little pub has just undergone a refurb. Today we selected the 2-course lunch which at £4.95 is extraordinary value for money. Staff are attentive and if your meal is going to take 20 mins then they'll tell you on ordering. Recommended.

I went here for my first ever Mother's day with 3 members of my family & my babies & had a lovely time.. There was a great choice of meals or snacks available at a very reasonable price... We each chose something different on the menu & found it was perfectly cooked & was very tasty... The staff & management are very friendly & went the extra mile to help with my 4 month old twins.. I will definitely go again, in fact I will be having my girls Christening do there ....

Came here for the first time in a good while for a birthday meal. We arrived early while waiting for our other party members, i was with my wife and two children. Unfortunatley the language that was been used by what i would assume was the regulars was not appropriate for families. When i looked in the direction of the man who was f...ing. He just looked at me and said to the girl behind the bar that he didnt care for anyone or anything. My wife asked me not to pull him up as we were with our children. Needless to say if this is the people you attract i will not be coming back. I can swear with the best of them, but in the pesence of kids and ladies i would not. Talking of food, the food was plentyful and of a good standard. But this doesnt detract from the first comment.
