Fast, efficient service. Reasonably priced. Large car park. Large grassed area with picnic benches and children's swings. Has plenty of outdoor seating to the front. Doesn't look like a pub from the front, more like a residential house, but within it certainly looks like a pub. Handpulled cask beers were Pennine Pacific New Zealand Pale, a nice drop; and Pennine Life's A Lemon and Theakston Best Bitter.

Quite busy considering it is in the middle of nowhere. Only had drinks. Cider and Stella both on point. Menu is pub grub classics but having veiwed the food served to others i can say it looked very good and judging by the empty plates going back it must taste good so will revisit and have some lunch...i am not one to knock points off but the toilets are a little dated.

Always a warm welcome. Good limited no fuss menu. Food is served quickly and is always excellent quality. Good range of guest beers changing regularly. I have been coming here for over thirty years and it is always consistent.

Absolutely amazing place. Lovely food and staff are amazing. Let’s not forget small pubs at moment are struggling with cost of living and we don’t know how long pubs can last while all these price rises are happening. The price I paid for a Sunday lamb was very reasonable is this current climate. Ok my second name is Baxter and no this place has nothing to do with me or my family. Many years this place was on my bin round when I worked for Sita Doncaster so recently I thought why not go at look at pub now. Nothing changed to be honest still looks a cosy old country pub. Fantastic place and I will recommend to all. 5 stars plus more from me

Disappointing Been here a few times -pre- covid, and the food used to be lovely. Today the Sunday dinner was so disappointing, ordered two large dinners, although plenty of meat (which was a little dry) not a lot else seemed to justify a large portion. The mash potatoes were terrible, it was like they used the masher twice and just gave up! I mentioned the mash to the server as he cleared up which earnt me a dirty look from what I assume was the cook on the way out.. Won't be rushing back.

I always enjoy visiting this pub. It's not easy to find the first time but worth the effort. It's in the very small village of Fenwick and set in its own grounds. It provides a welcoming environment and your hosts Alan and Caroline know how to run a good pub. The food is very good and the real ales are kept in good condition This pub also welcomes dogs.

Always a pleasant visit. Sit inside or outside (subject to restrictions) and enjoy a good pint and traditional pub grub. Menu is restricted and remember it's not a restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Out for a family meal this evening and decided to go to The Baxter Arms after being advised by a friend to try it out.Well my friend was right.... This place is lovely. Great food and service with a smile, they couldn't do enough for us. The menu is simple pub grub but is varied. If you are out for good food and service, this is the place for you.... What a gem! The landlord always wears a collar and tie, friendly and polite, how landlords used to be. The food and service is great, and a good selection of real ales, often a beer from my favourite York Brewery. Definitely 5 stars.

BAXTERS at Fenwick DONCASTER. Brilliant atmosphere, warm welcome every time. All food and drinks very competitively priced. Log fires in the winter. Call a few times and they remember what you drink. Landlord and his team friendly, chatty a great place to visit give it a try.

Great food and and selection of real ales patio and large grass area OK but inside ready for an update date old and uncomfortable seating but still a good and popular place to visit (need a car to get there)friendly bar staff there can be a wait for food. Don't use the toilets
