Friendly helpful staff, decent atmosphere, very clean and nice outdoor drinking area, just a shame it's next to a fairly busy road so quite a few cars constantly driving past. Used the O2 rewards priority here for the 2 freebie drinks with no issues 👌🏻👍🏻🍻

The food was nice although all they had available was turkey. It took over a hour to receive our food which was disappointing as it wasn't very busy at all really maybe half capacity at best but more probable a third capacity. The pigs in blankets all arrived scorched and burnt on all 4 servings. The prices weren't great either considering the portion and quality of food etc. If you want a quiet meal this place is great for that the interior is really nice and the atmosphere is one you would expect from a quiet venue however, if you are going for the food I'd suggest one of the local carverys.

Hi Went in on Sunday morning (fathers day)to see if we could book a table for 4pm Manager was excellent as usual doing his best to fit us in which he did. Had a burger which I don't normally have Was really tasty & good value for money. Thank you again

So, it was a mixed bag evening, but overall left satisfied. 6 of us with meals and drinks, however there was obviously something going on in the kitchen. 3 steaks ordered, 2 cooked perfectly.....but one was so overcooked it looked like a cheap grilled burger! Of the other dishes, ribs were fine, wings were great but the cow and chick burger - the chicken fillet was so overcooked it could be banged on the table and wouldn't cut with a steak knife! Both of these issues were raised with the staff, who apologised, and after a short wait, provided freshly and properly cooked replacements which were very nice and the cost for those 2 dishes removed from the bill. This is how all places should handle poorly cooked food - so we stayed around for more drinks and were happy to order desserts. Oh, and the music bingo was very entertaining!

Very good selection of real ales with CAMRA discount for members Monday to Thursday. Very welcoming and spacious inside. In winter the warming fires make this pub ideal for just a drink or a meal. Staff were very good.

The atmosphere is welcoming and Nikki one of the supervisor's is very nice and friendly, We usually go every week for a Sunday dinner and we've never had bad service. I would recommend this pub to anyone and they also welcome our four legged friends too which is a definite plus for us.

It is always good when you are pleasantly surprised with a new place to eat. The staff were so polite and efficient and they young guy who served us needs top marks for enthusiasm. The food was cooked spot on and was delicious. We were fortunate to be able to take advantage of the Eat out to help out discount, but in fairness at full price it would still have been a good price. We were both happily full when we left and wondering when we can get back again.

Spent a really peaceful hour or so here, the staff are pleasent and helpful, on this occasion we just had a side order with our drinks, it was served hot plenty of it and was.tasty, there is plenty of car parking spaces, and the car park itself is in good order, the facilities are very clean, and there are a couple of hand sanitizer stations in the pub, I had coffee and to be honest it wasn't as strong as I would have liked it, but that's just personal preference.

A good local which could be so much better, the Guinness was good but the food not so much. All your problems are behind the scenes ( Kitchen) not front of house. Not the first time I have been here for either food or drinks. It deserves this review. Excellent food every time, with an extensive menu even on a Sunday. The Sunday roast perfect and I ordered sweet chilli noodles also perfect. It was busy but even that did not deter the food, drink quality nor the friendly and pleasant staff and atmosphere. I will be returning as my top choice in Doncaster.

Good place for a beer and they do a fun quiz on a Sunday. The prices are around average for the area, good selection of lager and gin! Not a bad food menu and the chips and gravy for 1.99 is a bargain! Very decent gravy.

All Covid-19 careful - order either by waitress at the table or using the App - pay in the same way. It's difficult for staff explaining the need for track & trace over and over, enforcing face covering and distancing - no wonder they aren't as happy and welcoming as they "used to be" . Mixed grill was fine ( maybe too much) well cooked - the Surf and Turf, I understand that the Garlic Prawns could have been more "garliccy" - but the food was good, we felt that there was a lot of focus on care and separation be- but that makes it less personal - we'll still go back though - we felt safe and cared for.

This place on the surface seems to have everything you need good beer, open fires in view, plenty of seating , reasonable menu but sadly lacks atmosphere and I can't explain why. Perhaps it's the languid and lacklustre impression you start your experience with ...... at the bar !! Landlord please at least ask you and your staff to paste a smile on your faces otherwise you face losing your clientele . All this at a time when there are more pub closures than enough........get more staff in please too I suspect your bar staff are overworked.

We visited here last night 29.08.18 after a long day being up from 6 o clock that morning and working all day at a convention in Lincoln we travelled back and all wanted to eat. With it being close to us and our friends we decided to come here. We got here about 8 o clock ish and soon enough chose what we wanted to eat. 4 mixed grills and a belly pork all with sides of garlic bread. We were told an half hour wait which we didn't mind. Bar staff were great and the waiter Ben was a laugh. Making us feel relaxed and having a bit of banter with us all. The food was gorgeous. Came out hot, steaks were cooked perfect and the belly pork was tender and tasty. All orders were spot on. All round enjoyed it and will definatly be back. 😁

This place is great for families good value for money on the adult menu. The kids pizza is not very good it looks cheap. Overall the food is ok the hygiene is not great on the knife and fork pots. I would recommend to stop by if you are in the area.

Such wonderful staff, they are really helpful even when you don't have a clue what you are trying to order 😂 I've ordered chambord in there before and they didn't have it so I was stumped, they offered me different things to try and found me something I liked. The food is so good and they will change things to accommodate for you, I'm a coeliac but I love the haloumi meal, instead of giving me battered haloumi they will just grill it for me instead 😁 Highly recommend! Very welcoming, bonus - no sticky pub floor! 👌👍

Foods good and well priced, but without fail the staff at the bar will not serve customers in order, shout or lean over the bar, and you'll be served before anyone else regardless of how long they've been waiting.

Good food, serves a selection of real ale beers (normally 3 regulars and 2 that change frequently). You can try real ales before you buy and there's a 20p per pint discount to CAMRA card holders. Bar staff are friendly and will stop for a chat when passing.
