Lovely inside interior Older lady serving was lovely After she went off serve wasn't as good. Food was OK all the meat was massively over cooked and ordered medium rare was well done. Pepper sauce wasn't tasty. Chips nice. My mum had the beef strips which was nice. Had to go bar too pay :( Nice pint

Steak pie and chips Absolutely fantastic. Never had chips that taste so nice. Well worth the visit and is now one of my favourite places for food. The Mrs even enjoyed her shepherd's pie so much she ate the lot which is something she doesn't do often.

The service was by far the best for such an establishment. Went in for lunch at around 2pm, not booked beforehand, and our comments on how we wanted the food was listened to without any qualms. The food tasted great too, and the desserts (despite not having one myself) looked absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!

I visited here today for the first time with my husband, parents and brother . The carvery was fabulous, hot plentiful, well cooked and served by a lovely man. However the star of the day was the expectional Millie-Anna. We were immediately welcomed by her and from start to finish nothing was too much trouble my mum is disabled and she went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and seated in the right place. Her customer service is exceptional. If you want great food and the warmest welcome - visit the Newton Arms. You will not be disappointed. Visited here for the first time. It won't be the last time. The staff are so nice and friendly and the food is amazing, none of those ding meals its all home cooked. The menu has a wide choice from pizza to chicken and mushroom linguine. I would highly recommend this lovely pub.

Light bite lunch was great value at £6.95 and the cask ale was a decent pint. Place was quiet for a Friday lunch time. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Only slight negative, booked for 6 and initial table was way too small in these covid times, but they were happy to move us on request.

There is just so much I can say about The Newton. An absolute pleasure from when we arrived to when we left. The Landlady was so welcoming and accomodating. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. I've managed pubs up and down the country and The Newton is the best experience I've ever had. Can't recommend it highly enough. We can't wait to go there again. Fantastic choice of menu and always well presented and piping hot. The Landlady (Karen) runs front of house and does this very well, yet still knows everything that is going on in the kitchen and with the serving staff. The Newton is so busy due to the impeccable standards developed by Karen and her team. Just a shame not all establishments aim to achieve the same level and be proud of it.

Only went in here to collect donations for the RSPB pin badges However always seems popular and staff are lovely All happy at present as it was to be taken over by a chain and is now staying as a proper local with good fresh in season food. They have kept going with deliveries etc through the pandemic and deserve to carry on.

Great pub, very good food and big portions, an excellent Sunday carvery too. Other side of pub is the tap side with sports on tv and darts board. Outside seating front and back with kids play area, beautiful garden in the summertime. Staff are great, very friendly and enjoy a laugh with you, always a smile when you walk through the door. Went tonight (12th February 2020) for my sons 18th birthday. After giving him the choice to go to anywhere for a meal this was his 1st choice. Inside immaculate as always, very welcoming friendly atmosphere. Staff couldn't do enough not just for us but for all guests eating tonight. Food quality was great, everything cooked to order and timed perfectly so everyone in our party got there food at the same time. After asking everyone in our party if they enjoyed the meal my Dad (who is 72) said "Lovely meal I would come here again". If my Dad is impressed enough to say he will return for another meal then I know it's good quality food being served...

I booked a table here for my family and friends not knowing what to expect. What a find! The staff were very attentive and wanting to please. The food was really good with generous portions sizes. My 7year old has ceoliac desease so requires a gluten free diet, the menu had plenty of choice for him and the staff seemed to understand the importance of separate preparation area's to avoid cross contamination. The New Inn is a nice place to walk into, my only gripe is we were asked to sit in an area where there are 3 steps to walk up i am on crutches I realise they may not have known I have a sight Los problem. Moving on, the drinks were good and I have no complaints on the meal. I had ham egg chips and peas which was most enjoyable, the staff were pleasant and friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Lovely pub in Sprotbrough. The food is REAL pub food, its all homemase and not the bang in the microwave food you get in most pubs now. They have a brilliant gluten free menu which contains many items from scratch even things you never get anywhere else like lasagne, chicken goujons and yummy home made chips. The childrens menu is also fab, really good sized portions and again lots of home made dishes not just chips!
