Reviews of The Ridgewood

Sam Smith pub. Needs updating quickly and Humphrey needs to get tvs and footy back like the good old days.
Good locals and good bar staff.

Great pub, friendly staff and locals plus added bonus of no dogs or kids 😀. Also it's a Sam Smith's so great drinks at cheap prices - but don't bring your mobile phone cos they're banned as well. Just enjoy a good old fashioned chat and a bit of banter.

Lovely traditional pub. Large, comfortable lounge at the front. Tap room/games room at the back.
Just one cask beer, Sam Smith's Old Brewery Bitter, served in good condition.
Note, brewery policy is to not allow mobile phones, tablets, iPads, etc. Talking encouraged - although I'm not sure I'd want to be face to face with a stranger for too long just at the moment.

Nice garden to sit in ,reasonable priced drinks ,

This is a lovely Pub, extremely welcoming, lovely beer garden small play area for the kids, and kids are made very welcome, it's really good value for money, wine is about the same price as other pub, but bitter, larger and cider all extremely good value at least 1-2 quid less than other places. Now to the slight downside, no food, there are bar snack, however they are not branded no Walker no KP, but there is nothing wrong with the brewery brand on offer, the same is for thr bitter, larger and cider, all brewery branded, and the kids is squash or pop but they are all fab, last one is its cash only, no cards. But if you want a relaxing time were kids are made as welcome as you then this is the place.

Just a lovely pub with great beer and friendly staff. I hope it reopens very soon.

The beer is good quality, but I can't understand why it does not get the patronage it deserves.
P. S.
Proper old pub!
Bloody great to talk and not have fruit machines and phones.
